Considering his status as a 'one hit wonder', it's not surprising that he would look into alternative markets to invest in to in order to keep some momentum as a success. His past investment hasn't been the savviest - those video game consoles you mentioned were a commercial failure as far as I'm aware and facing many legal complications due to it essentially being a cheaply made, Chinese knockoff of more popular brands.
