Subsequent days, the pile is down to only two people, whereupon one leaves two seconds after the pile starts, leaving a laggard, whereupon he, too, starts Laggard Coin (LAG).

Now that alt coins are on the rage, I envision a South Park episode where everybody in the entire town starts their own alt coin, each trying to get their creation to go mainstream.
Of course, they're all traded on the Fat Ass Exchange (FAE, for short), each with a different hashing mechanism, i.e. script, to prevent an Area 51 attack.

I thought about a bitcoin SP episode a couple of weeks back. They are so on point when it comes to current affairs that I am positive this is already in the making.
Someone should flesh this out, write a full synopsis, and pitch it to Trey Parker.
