...
Oh that's cool thanks for explaining.
May be hacking can be avoided by allowing only one IP session for one account.

Just try it here:

https:// bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1752507.0
(looks like the forum doesn't allow masking like that)

The timer is what kept your account from spreading out way more of those phishing PMs.
I'd say that's a good thing.
...
Remember, internal links have always green highlighting on hover, that's how you can ensure you stay on bitcointalk.

Yea the cool down still annoys me..

Could you scrn shot this green highlighting hover please.
I cant see it.

The first message I see was sent by miracl12.
The user was nuked/banned since.

Man this coll down timer to post new messages and login is getting on my nerves.

A message is sent to someone seemingly directing someone towards some post in this forum but it hyperlinked to a phishing site which asks for login.
Which you did, right?

So this is how this system works.

A message is sent to someone seemingly directing someone towards some post in this forum but it hyperlinked to a phishing site which asks for login.
Thus stealing your ID and password. The first message I see was sent by miracl12.

If that's from their PM to you then report them to admin using the "Report To Admin" button on the bottom right of the PM.
Or you can post the screenshot first of their PM here to avoid confusion.

Have you changed your password yet? You should do that right away and don't login from links that you received from some stranger.

Yea I have changes my pass. Reported PMs to admins.

Man this coll down timer to post new messages and login is getting on my nerves.

It's not a forum feature. If you're not the one who sent all those phishing PMs then your account is compromised. Change your password.

And does that mean their account is compromised too?
Coz I did receive same messages from them.

Exactly same? Check the link very carefully and report those PMs to admins if they're a phishing links.

Actually check the link of your sent PMs too. I sort of automatically assumed them to be phishing links because of this thread. Note that it's using an I instead of an L in bitcointaLk.org.

Don't login from the links btw.

It's not a forum feature. If you're not the one who sent all those phishing PMs then your account is compromised. Change your password and scan your PC for malware.
