The point is not that you are "forking" an open source project, but that you
1. replace the copyright notices (why even?)
2. advertise functions you did not develop as if you built them
3. there is zero development work compared to the original
4. not even a whitepaper of what you want to do
5. you not even let someone trusted do the escrow of your ICO

Somebody just cloned the ShadowCash code and rebranded it to SpectreCoin.
He is in direct violation of the MIT license. He replaced the Shadow copyright statement 686 times. He left the Blackcoin, Novacoin, Bitcoin copyright notices.
