I will advice you not to touch any of the coins, I won't call them bith scam they way people have been calling them, but the main concern I have with both is that I don't see their use case of being adopted by people, there is no need to creating something if no one would eventually use it, it is just specualtion that drives the price up
Xspec and onion are both scams, devs dumped massive amounts, stay far away if you don't want to lose money.

If I prefer to invest into coins that have been top in marketcap. Myself prefer to ETH, for the long term.
I think, both spectracoin and deep onion coins are scam and low marketcap. You should stay away from these coins and go to invest to top10 coins.

I prefer deep onion over xspec, but i prefer aeon over both ;-)
Both are good actually, but I will always prefer deeponion anytime, day. Although the price may be too relatively low, but I am optimistic for a change in fortune for its price. I will advise holding for anyone that has it, pay back time is almost here.

Rather than deeponion and i was interested in spectre. Remember more than 90% of coin was holding by deeponion developer. Some people are complaining about there are some people are holding so many spectrecoin. it caused by the ico participant is very small compared with another project. The developer only raised no more than 400 eth and some bitcoin. But they are still developing the platform. It looks better than deeponion.
I would just hodl what you have. Even with Stealth address and tor it makes deep onion the same as xvg. Still needs ring sigs to be able to claim it is a privacy coin. While hitting targets is good, missing them will be worse for the price.

My opinion on Onion is that this is not a real private coin.
But now they will change that - Onion are planning to introduce Stealth addresses in few days. So my guess is that Onion is currently the better choice.
I've never seen someone saying XSPEC is scam and also bring a logical argument; keep in mind sometimes the most vocal users are also the least knowledgeable, some these people bought at ATH hoping for a quick buck and panicked when the price dropped so now they're venting out.
XSPEC with the existing tech is already one of the best privacy coins, if they keep their promise and develop the project further with new stuff it will be a powerhouse for privacy coins for sure, for now price will stay low because the coin is not listed on big exchanges yet, that does not make the coin bad, it just needs time to get listed on other exchanges and for more people to know about it - it's still a new project in this ocean of cryptocoins.

I think deep onion has more unknowns, but roadmap seems ok, whereas xspec has done work already to be a functioning.privacy coin.

Neither are scams, both have potential. If you want a comparison, deep onion dropped from $12 to like $3, xspec went from $6 to $1.20
Most coins have dropped, moving from coin to coin because one dropped will nearly always lose you money.
Also, look at satoshi value more than dollar value. Satoshi matters more for long term hold, dollar matters more for short term. Both coins are long term 12-24 month hodls.
My advice is hodl.

the margin of profit is low by a high marketcap . that is the reason why i choose for a low marketcap coin -> higher margin of profit

Both are low market cap coins with good privacy technology. If you can hodl then both are worth investing in for high 10x gains. Other privacy coins have already gone up, so best to stick with these two and patiently wait for the pump. It is hard to predict when it will happen so keeping them will prevent missing out. Onions are doing an airdrop so good to start there or do a split investment favouring onions.
