I tried to stay away from checking btc price for a week. Failed even for 1 day Wink

I did it. It's a good way to give yourself despondency. It really is. When you don't read about btc for a week (even though you did try to look for it in tech and money sites) and then you see the price go down - you feel like its dying. We only feel optimistic because we keep up with news regarding it and talking to people who are enthusiastic about it. After only a day of being back, I feel better.

You never bothered to google 'bitcoin news' at any point? There's been plenty of news stories being shelled out by all kinds of press, mainstream and otherwise. I give you credit for steering clear of bitcoin sites for a week as an exercise of sorts cause I couldn't. Cheesy

Yes my point was to avoid searching. But I did go to the big sites and scroll down through the front page. Absolutely nothing.

I just searched for Bitcoin on the News-Site I mostly read. There are some news, positive and negative and it is not even a Tech-Site.
True, most off this news, are not very popular and I haven't seen them without searching for it.

Well, do what other scammers do.... post fake images pointing to nudity and gore on youtube and link it to Bitcoin. *joking. { I hate it, when they do that }

Do not force, BTC onto people.... rather introduce them to it and show them the good sources to credible information. They will catch onto it, and start to "google" more about it.

We live in a world, where aggresive marketting is everywhere.. and most of us hate it.  Angry

Simply typing Bitcoin in google would show a bunch of news articles surrounding btc...

Yeah but OP has a point. We want to reach people who are not interested enough to google for Bitcoin. We need it in front of them, not that they have to search for it.
Agree it should be a push not a pull to grow incentive for more research.... although wsj has had plenty of positive mentions lately.
definitely! We needs more and more mainstream media or press to include crypto column! It will get the crypto concept reach to public masses.

I took a week off from writing checks. I realised that I couldn't finds any news on it unless I searched for it. The front pages of none of the big tech or financial websites had any news on it.

Checks are not an emerging technology. We want adoption - we need positive news coverage. All the articles we link to are deep inside news sites. Not something the layperson finds.
