Last time I checked the BOE owned nearly 40% of british bonds (gilts). Cost to the tax payer ? Nothing as the coupon payments are simply given straight back to the treasury. The net effect is simply expansion of narrow money into the wider economy through government spending (above taxation) to try and stoke up inflation whilst maintaining asset prices from collapse.

Inflation is a hidden tax. There is definitely a cost to the tax payer here, they can only obfuscate that fact so people don't even know they're being robbed.

True. Though I did say it resulted in expansion of the money supply to stoke up inflation. But in general you are absolutely on the money.

And I see such event as the end of the world. The world which well known for us. Ahead of this - Terra Incognita. Wars, chaos and then new world will born. Full matrix reset.

This is my vision.

Full reset and chaos means nobody will be maintaining and cooling the 500 nuclear plants worldwide, including the fuel pools. Only Cher and Keith Richards would suvive.

LOL
Mr Satan the Visioner !  Shocked

Actually USA and China could settle debts ...
China may ask to pay them with lands in US.
US govt owns alot of land in the country.

The bad thing here is that that China can not attack US territory by meaty troops, only can hit by nuclear missiles. So it can not enforce lands' transfer.

On the other bowl of shit, China itself has huge debt amassed inside country,
unpayable too...so in the case of hard landing of their economy, they will transform to failed state from pretenders for world wide hegemony  Undecided

Add to this : new chinese elite wanna try "perestroika", which demolished Soviet Union.
Will chinese be succefull in that ?!  Huh

Perhaps your Terra Incognita will have no centers of power for some years.
All major players are broken in many senses.

The only powers who have gun powder left dry are some transnational corporations.
Will we see new type of "state" being run by corporation ?!

This is the one I drink
http://www.masterofmalt.com/whiskies/glenfiddich-21-year-old-caribbean-rum-finish-in-presentation-box-whisky/

The smoothest available without shipping to my locale though my current one is a little more sour than one I had around giftmas last year. Excellent for the money
