yes. where do the good devs hang out and how can i hire one?

Not to shill but #MMXIV the channel on IRC (Freenode) has a lot of people that do dev work on coins and a bunch of well known pool ops

IRC, lol. Why do people still use such an old and ugly protocol. Sorry spot off topic.

Are you a boxer or briefs guy?

It's perfect for group discussion. The trivia bot is fun too

I was talking to my buddy Bob Saccamano the other day and he gave me a picture and had a story for me !
He claimed that Bitcointalk was extorting users and posted a screen cap of proof.
Best i can tell the picture is legit and Bob *seemed to be honest about it all..
So don't crucify me for what he said i am just saying what i heard and i want to know if this is confirmed as fact.

Here is the screen cap i was given..

edit:
i am being blocked every time i try and add the picture Sad
i have tried 3 hosters so far and all failed..
going to try changing the picture from a 3mb png to jpeg to get it shared Wink

edit2:
format change helped.. size is now less than 400kb with jpeg quality 94%

With the Cleverhash coin IPO opening soon and its promise of X11/X13/X15 Asic miners eminent, does anyone else feel like X11 coins could take a big price drop like Scrypt did at the time of Scrypt Asic implementation. Or since X11 & its variant family of X chained algos came along are we no longer impressed by keeping out asics this time around.
Maybe it depends on efficiency.
*edit, clean this out of its not on topic enough as its not directed at any coin/person specifically*

can you re-phrase that so it's related to Altcoins maybe Nutildah ?

No, but I should take a page out of your book and at least attempt to be more civilised.

TrollForBux - Professional Trolling Services - Earn Bitcoin for Trolling Bitcointalk

Now that's just good, wholesome fun for the whole family right there.

Finally, a signature campaign I can get behind.

use imgur - it seems to work good.

and yes - if you spread evil they extort you before you can register a new user.  I once did something to make a point by using the user J|777 vs Jl777 and offered to take people's money.  After that I had to send like .37c worth of bitcoin to bitcointalk (even though my scam probably was less harmful to bitcoin community as a joke than the serious one)

YEP that's the one.  pretty smart - make bad guys pay money

what ? ok omg LOL

so maybe the units of evil thing in the picture is true ?

Bob Saccammo never fails me he's legit !

distribution method.

i can see where you're coming from.  I guess in my mind if a developer delivers 1000 lines of shitty code for 1% premine that = $5,000.  And Ethereum delivers 1,000,000 lines of code with 10 developers and support for the next three years - it's worth the initial distribution.

But you are correct.  They sold pretty much FOUR YEARS of mining and used that to fund the project and on top of that gave developers a slice of etheres.

ok and i have no idea about where the devs hang out.
do they really hang out together or is it a million little groups ?

one place you can look maybe is Crypty's IRC channel i have been there before and been meaning to go back soon.

maybe there is other IRC channels with lots of coin devs on them ?

edit:
i used the mIRC client last time but guys can use the web page based client too https://webchat.freenode.net/
load it up.. pick a name and then join #Cryptsy ..simple

there is a topic on page one here i think for it (crypty's irc) too !

why do you hate ethereum when the (likely) inventor of bitcoin Nick Szabo pretty much endorsed it?  they raised a bunch of money but they're working their asses off - you can download it, program in it.  they have their own browser, their own file storage system they are working on and whisper / message protocol.  why do you say it's a scam when they are doing more work to it than is being done in any other altcoin?

distribution method.
i think a lot of methods are far too ripe for abuse or manipulation.
i would rather support a premined coin than an IPO's coin.
big difference between a 100% premine with statements about plans vs saying a 1% premine with general intentions of paying for services to further the coin.

i also heard that a lot of the staff seem odd and many had large amounts of the coin given to them
or maybe i am thinking of another coin.. i would have to check back on that etherium topic where a guy posted screen caps to bee 100% sure.
an no offense to Nick but i don't care what he wants to support.. people are just trying to make a buck lol

I got one. Why do greedy people think they are smart?

Don't they realize that they are stupid for making the world around them a worse off place to live in, thereby directly devaluing the meaning of their own existence?

If not, why not?
