Hi Bitsler team,

I am a developer and I just implemented a DiceBot named 'MyDiceBot', check it out here:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/mydicebot-ultimate-bitcoindogecoin-dice-bot-bet-more-earn-more-5057661

It's cross-platform, including Windows, Mac, Linux. And also compatible with Seuntjies DiceBot's Lua scripts.

I would like to add Bitsler into MyDiceBot, but I do not find any official document of the API (actually Bitsler has provided API key officially).

Would you please PM me if there's any document available somewhere?

After the last maintenance, the longer one, now the site is running smoothly. There is no more lag, both in chat and in the game, which is great for giving users the best experience while playing at Bitsler.

Thanks Isildur for clarifying. I was looking for for updates about this as I saw a pop up in my Bitsler account about the 50% Referral Promotion but I got  confused on the month and the date. More time to ask friends to switch to Bitsler and start playing.
Will post it on the day it was supposed to finish up initially, that the promotion will continue for another month yes. Do agree with you because I've also started looking for some referrals and certainly need more time! Might have some interesting news/updates for the affiliates btw, so stay tuned for that..

End of 50% Referral Promotion is just 10 days away from today (November 8, 2018), is this going to be extended?

..last for another month at least..

initial time + extra 1 month = 8 December ending time 'at least'

In fact, I'm sure the only reason bitsler attracts the magnitude of abuse it does, is because how generous it is.

I just think there's some room for improvement to clarify exactly what constitutes abuse

I spoke briefly with RHavar in pm because I was getting mixed signals, of being accused or getting advice from someone that actually cares about this type of stuff. We are of the same mind set though regarding this and many other issues as I would think and do agree that the definition of abuse could be updated to be worded more clearly and more directly, though that's not entirely up to me.

I also did mention that this is on the 'to do list', however afaik security and safety is highest on the list and matters of the faucet will follow after that.

a) Don't think it is if you look at 14.4 & 14.6 in the tos. Seems pretty unambiguous to me.

Maybe I have comprehension issues, but rule 14.4 reads:
"""
14.4. Getting an edge against the casino without any risks is FORBIDDEN. (e.g playing with faucet, winning from faucet then depositing to withdraw all the balance etc.)
"""

but it really sounds like any use of the faucet could be considered forbidden? That ambiguity is precisely what I am complaining about.

I think a saner/fairer/clearer rule would be along the lines: "As long as you do not use bots or multiple accounts to claim the faucet more than the site would otherwise allow you, then what you do is totally fine"  and if you are unhappy with how they use the faucet, then just disable (or nerf) it for that user.

However, I can somewhat speak for/with Bitsler in saying that "milking users" isn't their goal. The conversation I have 100% of the time with them is "how can we make it better for everyone".
I do know of the "milking" and have seen it live and in action many times before on other sites, but we are not about that at all..

I know, I wasn't trying to imply it was. In fact, I'm sure the only reason bitsler attracts the magnitude of abuse it does, is because how generous it is. I just think there's some room for improvement to clarify exactly what constitutes abuse, and clarify that someone who doesn't use bots or multi-faucet-claiming-accounts never has to worry.

The reason I used quotes is because "abuse" can be pretty subjective. I'm not exactly familiar with bitsler's internal policy, but quite a few sites consider a single-person on a single-account repeatedly trying to get a withdraw-able amount of money "abuse". While I'd say that's how I'd expect a lot of people to behave if you give them free money.
If you get rid of the multi accounts, bots, farming, and abuse then I suppose you could stretch to make that assumption.

Quote
And then on the other end of the spectrum you have people with sophisticated bots/vpns setups and stuff, which are obviously trying to circumvent restrictions and unambiguously abuse.
That's the point I was trying to make regarding ambiguous and unambiguous abuse as it's seen because I think they handle each user as ambiguous from the start. Only when it's clear that the user is unambiguously abusing is action actually taken.

Quote
I would have less problem with the rules if they were a) unambiguous and b) reasonable and c) not overly punitive.
a) Don't think it is if you look at 14.4 & 14.6 in the tos. Seems pretty unambiguous to me.
b) The one recurring theme on Bitsler is giving more then they should. I have adopted this approach for some community issues as well even though I prefer rock solid unbreakable and straightforward rules that give no wriggle room of any kind, even if was positive for the user because I how quickly simple things can become a problem. Asked about this long ago and was told: "if there is some wriggle room to give them more, then we want that wriggle room to give them more". Yes, that was actually said. So I do see it as reasonable.
c) I think on the contrary that they are actually very lenient. If it was a matter of being overly punitive then the abusers would be punished way earlier which isn't the issue in the majority of cases.

I do agree with you on this and basically everything you said. Don't agree with you in trying to imply that Bitsler actually does it. If you remove the actual abusers and want to single it down to "ambiguous abusers" then I think you will have a hard time in doing so. At least to the magnitude of what is being referred to.

I don't want to speak out against other sites in detail or at all, so I won't, at least not on this thread. However, I can somewhat speak for/with Bitsler in saying that "milking users" isn't their goal. The conversation I have 100% of the time with them is "how can we make it better for everyone".

Again, not sure why you are using it in quotation marks?

The reason I used quotes is because "abuse" can be pretty subjective. I'm not exactly familiar with bitsler's internal policy, but quite a few sites consider a single-person on a single-account repeatedly trying to get a withdraw-able amount of money "abuse". While I'd say that's how I'd expect a lot of people to behave if you give them free money.

Other sites consider it abuse and will seize any funds if the player has multiple accounts (even when it wasn't done to give the person any advantage, for faucet or bonuses).

Some other sites (although no longer, after I made a big deal of it...) had bet limits hidden in their FAQ, and considered it abuse to exceed that and took their money. (Even though their UI would happily accept the bets).

And then on the other end of the spectrum you have people with sophisticated bots/vpns setups and stuff, which are obviously trying to circumvent restrictions and unambiguously abuse.

I would have less problem with the rules if they were a) unambiguous  and b) reasonable and c) not overly punitive.

It's one of those cases where you say nothing of the players that are withdrawing from the faucet, focus on the ones that picked up a problem along the way including faucet farmers, bots, and multi accounts, ignore the tos, ignore the fact that the tiny group of players being declined on their faucet withdrawals has actually withdrawn a few/many times prior to that happening. I actually laughed a bit while reading this part  Cheesy

Laugh, but I speak from experience. When I owned bustabit I did not a single time unilaterally took money out of someone's account, or otherwise prevent anyone from withdrawing. And in my time, I dealt with a huge amount of abuse (including faucet). I even had people give me death threats, or try extort the site with considerable balance on the site that I never touched. Hell, I once even accidentally sent someone an extra 40 BTC (ugggh, manually withdraw! I'm not the brightest) and the furtherest I went is tell them if they didn't voluntarily return it, I wouldn't let them keep playing.

Now you can laugh, and think I'm naive -- but I'll point out I was doing way more volume than any other bitcoin site. And I think a huge reason is because people realized that I treated their account balances as sacred and never fucked with it, and trusted I wouldn't come up with arbitrary bullshit to take their money. And I think bitcoin gambling in general would be a lot more popular if similar code of ethics were applied.

Quote
Obviously playing with high multipliers isn't the problem, but rather playing high multipliers for extended periods of time with no interaction other than claiming the faucet till they run out, rinse and repeat day in and day out is actually the problem because this will get the faucet disabled eventually and not the multiplier.

Disabling (or nerfing) someone's faucet in this case (or any really) is totally reasonable, and what pretty much what anyone should do. I would only think it's unfair if they were retroactively deemed "faucet abuse" and then their withdrawals not honored.

Quote
Could you be specific about which sites you are talking about?

To be honest, I think very highly of bitsler and in fact most of the sites that are here on bitcointalk (even when I have my disagreements). I actually believe all the main sites at the moment do have players interests at heart and are trying to offer a good experience instead of just milk them. The site I've seen with the most ridiculous policies (and justification for it) would be bitstarz which I would consider a veiled scam (even though they've improved their practices, it's obviously run by a sociopath with no regard for his customers or fairness)

I think what most casinos need to do about the faucet is either completely disable it for new accounts or accounts without any valid deposits.
Faucet is one of a few things that will be tweaked in the near future. Not sure about disabling the faucet (or feature that will replace it) for either of those reasons because Bitsler does pay out numerous faucet claims without a problem or issue. (Way more than I'm personally comfortable with actually)

Quote
Or they should put a disclaimer when claiming the faucet that its "for play money and no valid withdraws will be honoured" because it seems that every week there is some disgruntled newbie who complains on this forum or in the trollbox about being denied access to the faucet.
Most withdraws that were made from the faucet are actually paid out. You'll usually see Baryom saying something in the lines of "this user has withdrawn 3, 5, 10+ times from the faucet without any problems.

Quote
Sure its not fair that someone went from 100 Sats to like 100,000 Sats and they made enough to do the min withdraw and it might of taken a few hours or days of their life.
If they're not farming, then I don't see how that's not fair.

Quote
People need to know that you can't earn a living these days off the faucet.
I think most people do know that. Where I gambled previously - we all knew faucet didn't mean anything especially in winning some of the bigger promotions, however, I still saw a few them and many whales use the faucet every single day.

Quote
So thats all it takes, basically 1 user to ruin it for everybody.
Deplorables are eventually blocked, they complain as is the obvious reaction in such a case and the rest go on and use the faucet with no issues.

Quote
I find the practice of disallowing withdrawals for "faucet abuse"
Not sure why you are using quotation marks?

And yet they do anyways.

but once the site has given them money, it should be the users.
This means that after discovering a user referred her/himself that the funds now belong to the abuser? I've literally seen similar and even worse situations of abuse in this industry be reversed or blocked at some of the biggest and oldest sites, even on bitcointalk. It's a bit weird that you would imply or suggest this weird 'standard' that no other place would do or sane person would even consider.

Quote
The responsible and ethical thing for a casino to would be identify these people and disable future faucet claims.
That is being done yes.

Quote
Instead of hoping they turn into paying customers
I've almost been here for 2 years now and have never heard the word 'paying customer' be used. This is just an assumption on your part. (I see them utilizing different avenues for deposits of which faucet isn't one)

Quote
and if they don't just not let them withdraw.
Even when they don't make a deposit, they are still allowed to withdraw in most cases.

Quote
Same shit about thing like site that's that don't allow you to bet at 9900x with faucet funds. If that isn't allowed, then the site shouldn't allow you to do it. Or disable your faucet if you do. It seems unfair to wait until someone's withdrawing to find a reason to not honor it.

I agree with adaseb. I find the practice of disallowing withdrawals for "faucet abuse" to extremely distasteful and bordering on unethical. Of course the site has no obligation to give a user free money, and disabling new faucet claims should clearly be done for "abusers" -- but once the site has given them money, it should be the users.

I realize that not all cases are clear-cut, like if someone egregious abuses the site (e.g. lots of ips/accounts/bots) then it seems reason to take back the money (although personally when I ran a site, I would not have done that). But there's obviously a lot of cases of people getting caught in the crossfire who are just people who spend a lot of time with the faucet. The responsible and ethical thing for a casino to would be identify these people and disable future faucet claims. Instead of hoping they turn into paying customers, and if they don't just not let them withdraw.

(To be clear, I don't mean to single out bitsler here -- they're definitely not one of the worst -- but if casino operators want to build trust, these sort of practices need to stop)

I remember a few years back there were videos on Youtube about one user who managed to get from faucet to the min withdraw and he made a video on Youtube and Primedice at the time didn't mind. I think they liked the exposure to their site, but right now there is just too much faucet abuse. Basically PD site Stake had 1 user who abused 99% of the faucets. So thats all it takes, basically 1 user to ruin it for everybody.

There are many promotions being held in bitsler. 29th billions bets promotion, 50% affiliate commision, daily lottery and so on. Some people already got lucky with those promotions and the number of the lucky people will be increased soon. Thanks bitsler for this great opportunity!

Congrats on new milestones. There are many chat games as well.

bitsler its scam cant withdraw from faucet and another rewart u got  Angry
Bitsler don't allow people who only play by faucet claimings to use their faucet so don't call them a scam just because you can't claim from their faucet. Bitsler don't need another faucet farmer like you as you are really not counted as their player/customer you are just there to abuse their faucet and try to earn money for free. I have seen it before where Bitsler in the past was not strict with their faucet but they notice that a lot of members there are only playing with their faucet claims which means they are just taking money away from Bitsler.

All is written in ToS about faucet farming. Guy just need to read about it  Smiley

To sum up, you all guys need to read rules, reviews, etc and etc. See bitsler's traffic, then tell me, is there anywhere proven that bitsler is a scam website? You deposit, then immediately withdrew, it makes doubts, would make doubt if you think logically, think a little bit differently, they don't require KYC without reason, if you are verified, then you can do whatever you want, deposit and withdraw immediately because you are verified.
Also bitsler isn't a faucet nor meant to be. You can test games with this free money or if you are gambler and want to have a fun for a while, use faucet. It's not meant for abusing. If you want faucet, there is your good friend google to search. Is it so hard to understand? Why do you think like 10 years old child?
