The Sport industry going to take over the crypto betting, you mean? Cause other than using crypto for betting and such, I don't see anything else for sport industry to be involved with crypto. Betting and gambling is just a tiny scene in comparison with crypto.
Not only betting and gambling. Football clubs want to give more to their fans with the use of cryptocurrency everything doesn’t have to deal with gambling or betting when it comes to sport. The facts that fans can make decisions with their fan tokens is huge

Anyone here heard about Chilliz and the partnerships they have been signing recently. I beleive the sport industry is going to take over the crypto space sooner or later because i see a great movement in what they are building. They have signed partnership with so many big Footbal clubs and i am so excited with what they are building.

yes, Chiliz has so many big soccer team as their official partner. i also ever saw the news that there is a soccer club that bought a new player with crytpocurrency. also wartford FC has sportsebets.io as their main official partner. so i think most of crypto projects will invade the sport industry in the near future.

I saw the bitcoin logo on watford jersey throughout it was at that time i knew sports will take over the crypto space soon but what made me so excited was the chiliz partnering with top club and im still excited because there are still more to come

The sports industry have already recovered again and this field is not suitable to be combined with the crypto industry especially for the tokenization. so many projects have failed to combine both of the industry and then i just forget this .

We must onlly focus in the financial industry
I know there are plenty of games who tried it in 2017,too many ICO relating egames application were launched but up to now, there are still no big changes yet except for the in games purchase but it's still good to experiment and try till someone is able to make a changed, who knows someone will be able to create and build something that can benefit players and companies, even for gamblers and casinos thru blockchain like having more transparency in games and promos with some plots that will get popularity in the future.

Sport industry taking over crypto? I doubt this, almost all the sport projects I know are not doing well, cryptocurrency community hardly believe in sport projects probably because of the mass failure from previous project. I believe this may happen later in future but not now.
Why not now, this is clearly a good time for the sport to venture out of their comfort zone since they already hit hard by the coronavirus. When everything back to normal in the future, I doubt they will ever consider to utilize crypto to sporting.

Often someone believes in things like this easily. But in the end, it all depends on the progress of the project development. Nowadays, crypto has grown into various sectors and it is becoming good. When it comes to crypto for sports, this is also commonplace. because there have been many projects that have adopted this. But if indeed Chilliz and his partners can make something different, more interesting, and real, then it is possible that it will work. but still, all of the future will depend on the market and how the response of crypto holders and their needs.

You made a good observations and stated your opinion well but those who are into Defi projects will not agree with you, they will say Defi will take over the crypto space because of the hype and so on. At the same time, those into other categories or sectors of the crypto space will also point out and back up their claims as to why their own is better of. So in essence, one sector such as the sport industry can't take over the crypto space rather every other sector will contribute in their own way to make the crypto space valuable and great.
Sorry but we are not talking about who overtaking the crypto space instead, we are talking about the adoption of crypto space into the sports industry.
There is nothing we do for Defi projects, but if they are in the support of the sports industry then much better. Because sooner or later, another project will come out for this intent, and for sure it probably more is coming if we are fully engaged in the sports industry and the use of blockchain technology.

I'm seeing this to happen soon but it takes more time. Crypto adoption is wide increasing in various sectors and many big companies are already in support of this. If this development will continue, no wonder that crypto will widely be used by the majority.

PSG losing the final tonight affected the value of their coin the way it really pushed the value up when they won the quarter final against Atalanta from 6$ to 10$. I was also expecting them to win tonight so it can take over the juventus token

If you really want to go into this then I'm ready to share how I feel about crypto sport projects, aside from sport gambling platforms on the blockchain technology crypto sport projects are utterly failure, they end up going down, too low interest on them, you can only see two to three successful ones, majority end up dead
I think that cryptocurrencies and gambling are a natural combination this is why we see so many casinos that are successful, in fact besides exchanges the gambling industry is probably the biggest industry born out of this market and it is not difficult to understand why, many gamblers do not like the idea of going through KYC just to gamble and get some fun and now thanks to the pandemic it seems that people are more interested in gambling than in the past so I see any attempt to make the gambling industry even more popular with good eyes.

I doubt it is just sports industry, it is in fact all the industries in the world who are looking at crypto and specially blockchain technology a lot better, which means everyone in the world is giving more attention towards bitcoin and blockchain. Sports is not niche in this regard, they are on par with many other ones.

Finance is the big one that is involved with crypto a lot and gambling is coming second, exchanges and casinos are biggest in the crypto world and that is not changing anytime soon and nothing will take over those two anytime soon, not the way they are growing right now. However, I would say other industries finally taking a look at crypto is actually quite cool because we need adoption to grow stronger and this is a great way to do it.
Yes, there is nothing to be more familiar to gambling than using crypto as their payout. After all, their whole scene already involved to variable bet rate and result. I'm sure they feel right at home with crypto being used to placing a bet for sport games.

Whether sports industry or DeFi or gambling industry, those industries are good for crypto adoption. So on my end, I don't  care if sports is the leading or DeFi is leading in the current market, as long as they help in crypto adoption, it will be good in crypto community in general. I don't want to take sides on this matter, because all of them are important in the growth of crypto community. They have their specific industries to address with, and I believe we all need them to increase the number of crypto users. The more we are, the better for crypto.

Now a days there are no exceptions left for industries going for tokenization. Sooner or later, evry industry is on the way to get digitised with blockchchain technology.
Recently, few month ago, I came accross one project related to sports industry. It's name is project "WITH". Its still running.

Yes i know Chilliz. But the results did not come the way they preached. Everything is easy to say but how difficult it is to implement. I don't know if their development has stopped or not. Because I can't see any new updates now. I don't know how crypto can affect the sports. Because the purpose of crypto is to replace money, crypto was not born to work with sports.

In the current situation, I can say that you are right. You know, sports helps the crypto community grow (contributed sportsbetting) but on the other hand crypto are not helping the sports industry significantly. Well, that's understandable anyways since cryptocurrency are not yet well adopted. It definitely needs more exposure. Nonetheless I do believe that crypto can still open outstanding possibilities. Hmm maybe in the future team companies will use crypto in closing a contract with the players they recruit as their payment option, they may also use it for paying violations or use for financing the needs of their players. Who knows Cheesy?

Just let it mature further and let's see what would happen next.

Sport has long begun to take root in the cryptocurrency sphere, and soon the entire sport will be associated with cryptocurrency and cryptocurrency technologies, and since cryptocurrency is developing very quickly, it may already happen very soon.
