VAR ruined Liverpool today as those 2 goals were viable in my opinion but hey, the VAR knows better right ?
Even without VAR, it was still a clear offside for me on the Salah's goal but the referee didnt raise his flag so it would have been a goal though. To be honest I like the VAR system , its unbiased unlike human. Unfortunate for Liverpool but next time Liverpool could be saved by the VAR system
Yeah I wasn't going to complain much about the offsides. I thought Mane's was clear, Salah wasn't (and as you said, the official didn't raise his flag). VAR system is unbiased but we actually don't know if the tech is perfect -- just like this season's first goal-line tech which was unbiased but actually made the wrong call.
Also, yes, Robertson's clearance hit Wellbeck's boot but that is not a "clear and obvious" foul. But whatever, I'm just mainly not a fan of VAR obscuring football's flow -- which is the beauty of football in the first place. I hate the pauses and stops now like American sports it feels like
Salah is no longer the same player from 2 years ago so no wonder why Klopp decided to change him 20 minutes after the 2nd half.
Have we been watching the same games? He is definitely not even playing the same positions and tactics of 2 years ago, but this early season has been the sharpest I've seen Mo in a long time. He has always been low on conversion, but his positive plays are actually on a much higher rate this season (plays turning into opportunities).
