None of us made it to the top this week, so here are just the overall stats, where Avirunes takes home the highly valuable 100 fame points this week..

.....also leading the fame point category by a mile now with 400 points. This weeks win also puts him at 5 wins and thus on par with Trofo. Pretty good weekend, eh ? Grin

At halftime didn't thought that I would make through and was pretty behind. I guess I saw Janprix and buwaytress ahead in the leaderboard by 1-2 correct picks and never thought that it would be me leading in the leaderboard out of us in the end. Anyway thanks for the fame points.

Looking forward to next one. Cheesy

Special mention goes out to @ralle14, who is the only one to never miss publishing his picks in this thread Smiley (although you were a bit late sometimes lately^^)

Hope next week will be more exciting again Roll Eyes

My Southampton vs Manchester United bet on draw ruined in extra time... and Manchester managed to win 2:3 after losing 2:0 in first half!
There are few more matches left but  am not happy at all with my betting score this weekend Sad

Same with me, draw for Chelsea and Manchester United unfortunately Man United won in the last minute
Only 3 teams left in my parlay Arsenal, Napoli and Real Sociedad, a little doubt on Napoli because Roma's performance is increasing
If Napoli can take advantage of playing at home it will be an advantage for them.
Its my fourth week posting here and first worst because until now I have only 5 wins and current situation is saying now I have only one chance if Real Socided won then I will go with 6 otherwise 5 is already in pocket Arsenal already out of match with 1 - 2 against Wolves and now Napoli is also leading by 2 - 0 which is match winner for them most chances we will have 8 or 9 games winner as leader for this weak.

VAR ruined Liverpool today as those 2 goals were viable in my opinion but hey, the VAR knows better right ?

Even without VAR, it was still a clear offside for me on the Salah's goal but the referee didnt raise his flag so it would have been a goal though. To be honest I like the VAR system , its unbiased unlike human. Unfortunate for Liverpool but next time Liverpool could be saved by the VAR system

Yeah I wasn't going to complain much about the offsides. I thought Mane's was clear, Salah wasn't (and as you said, the official didn't raise his flag). VAR system is unbiased but we actually don't know if the tech is perfect -- just like this season's first goal-line tech which was unbiased but actually made the wrong call.

Also, yes, Robertson's clearance hit Wellbeck's boot but that is not a "clear and obvious" foul. But whatever, I'm just mainly not a fan of VAR obscuring football's flow -- which is the beauty of football in the first place. I hate the pauses and stops now like American sports it feels like

Salah is no longer the same player from 2 years ago so no wonder why Klopp decided to change him 20 minutes after the 2nd half.

Have we been watching the same games? He is definitely not even playing the same positions and tactics of 2 years ago, but this early season has been the sharpest I've seen Mo in a long time. He has always been low on conversion, but his positive plays are actually on a much higher rate this season (plays turning into opportunities).

(...)

Lot of shocking matches yesterday. Glad that sportsbet didn't put much of them in the MM event list. League games are always that way, you do realize that its a race and everyone is in hunt for that 3 points to climb ladder. Underdogs always eye out for team struggling or aren't with much energy after the CL or some Cup games.

True that. The thing is there are games that you would take as a 50/50 chance and others you might give a 90% - 95% chance. That's how I felt before the Dortmund and Real Madrid yesterday. At the very least, I had expected even a draw from them especially as they played at home soil. I didn't even mention atalanta who after ending our (Liverpool) home  unbeaten run on Wednesday thought it would be good to comfortably lose at home too.

Snipped

I think all players affected pandemic circumstances. And most of leagues playing their matches with no supporters. The atmosphere created by the fans is indescribable.  For this reason, I think especially the tskimes playing in their own home are badly affected.

Yeah, I do recognize that the pandemic played a part in some of the disappointing performance we have seen this season. Talking about fans, Its a good thing the premier league would start letting in fans inside the stadium from December.

This weekend has to be one of the worst I've seen this season. I couldn't make it in time to play the MM but if I did, I would've made similar picks like others did. Two shocking defeats today    - Real Madrid and Dortmund both losing to bottom placed teams. This season has really surprising outcomes indeed. Goodluck everyone for the reminder of this week's MM challenge.

Brighton is a good team but didn't thought that they would find Liverpool to pull off for a draw.

I do agree on that bolded part but getting a draw against Liverpool is srill a massive feat. People might blame that lucky penalty on the last minutes but Liverpool almost lose today if Maupay didnt miss the first one

You could say same for Liverpool as well who also had their two goals disallowed due to offside by VAR. It was a good match but didn't went well with guys who put their bet on Liverpool.

I am really not surprised to see that Atalanta and Liverpool screwed all of us, Everton got most of us but some survived, and there are some tricky matches for tomorrow.
Good luck everyone and let the best player win.

He is still the same player and I think that Klopp decided to switch him out because of fatigue issue. He had covid19 a week ago and probably that could be the reason why he was switched out.

Halftime:

Looking very good for JanpriX, buywaytress and leea-1334, though there seem to be two guys with 6 correct picks already - in total there are 16 users in the hunt. Two bigger upsets with Atalanta and Liverpool, but looks like 99% of participants had those wrong, so no harm done really.

Good luck for tomorrow, I am predicting a (co-)winner from this thread once again, but not sure who it will be. Maybe even someone from the 4-correct-group Wink

VAR ruined Liverpool today as those 2 goals were viable in my opinion but hey, the VAR knows better right ? It seems Salah was mad when he was changed in minute 64 with Sadio Mane and to be honest , Salah is no longer the same player from 2 years ago so no wonder why Klopp decided to change him 20 minutes after the 2nd half.

On the 2nd game today , City simply destroyed Burnley and Leeds is about to win today and maybe even score once or twice.

Holy, we reached consensus on Liverpool to win against Brighton but it wasnt working out correctly this time although Liverpool was perfectly fine against Leicester last week.

Brighton is a good team but didn't thought that they would find Liverpool to pull off for a draw. Two goals ruled out for offside by VAR and then the penalty at last moment really spoiled the 3 points for Liverpool.

Leicester is definitely a better team.. guess bit of luck played out here for Brighton in the end.

Too bad I lost on my very first leg too. It seems this was the last edition where payout odds were actually regular odds. Goodbye 45 BTC:*

Has this odds issue been confirmed yet? I thought it was an error or some sort but oh well that means the maximum that we can get from hitting 15/15 would be 3 btc regardless of the odds. There goes our dream to get tons of btc  Tongue

Holy, we reached consensus on Liverpool to win against Brighton but it wasnt working out correctly this time although Liverpool was perfectly fine against Leicester last week.

Should he get the 5mbtc free bet or should it be split into 1mbtc free bets each for those who didn't get the magic 11 correct including mitchr4? Cheesy

I like the split option better in this case. Its kinda like giving some sort of consolidation prize for those that didnt make it this time. If mitchr4 didnt end up winning 300 mbtc but had the highest score among us then I would choose to give him the 5mbtc free bet

New week predictions are quite interesting, this week is full of very competitive and tough matches. It is very difficult to guess all of them correctly.I personally had difficulty in guessing, but I will follow the other comments closely.

@Trofo turned out it wasn't really your night eh?

@leea I'm feeling threatened now that it's you and others who are picking the upsets and not me. Problem is Newcastle were "only" 35/10 so they didn't attract me like Monaco 5/1 last Friday haha;)

Here are the picks:

Welcome @metenjean and @Jack_Sin

Consensus found only for Liverpool, with Milan/Atalanta/Gladbach coming super close. For the other 11 games all outcomes were picked and there are some with no consensus at all, like Chelsea - Tottenham with 6-6-6.

As you know I always check, if we have two or more users having the exact same picks and normally we don't even come close. This week Avirunes and BitcoinHunt3r have 14 identical picks, just on Arsenal vs Wolves they couldn't agree Smiley

Good luck everyone Smiley
