I wouldn't say that it's in Đoković's pocket. I do feel he is a favorite, but this is the first GS in a long long time where I see a possibility of someone outside of the top 10 claiming it.

Nadal is injured, Đoković isn't on the same level and he is starting to get under pressure more often, Alcaraz is out, Medvedev is.. well, Medvedev.
Sinner and Kyrgios are the players I'll try to bet on.

I guess we all fell for Nadal simply because of the promo, if that's the case then well done to Sportsbet lol

On the other hand, I agree that there is no clear contender, Djokovic appears an easy win but I feel like there is more to come, drama and what not, mostly I guess his own making, and we will see someone outside the top winning.

I just hope I get 3 freebets at least Wink
This is what I agree on it was a bet I had placed simply for the promo to receive the free bets, and of course the high odds which after boosted comes out to 15.98x which if it does win at the end is just an added bonus on the long road to victory for Nadal.
And yeah, I would of rather put my mbtc on Kyrgios from the way he played at his tournaments last year and on home country grounds.
So we will see how it all plays out.

EPL matches are a mixed bag with the promotion for the daily special wanting a Chelsea and Newcastle win:
https://sportsbet.io/sports/sportsbet-specials/matches/today

I went with Crystal Palace winning and a draw happening in one of the matches.

Agree for Sinner and Kyrgios and I would much rather place an outright on them then on Nadal. Zverev would also be up here if he was in form, don't know how he looks in competitive matches after that though injury. Judging per results in exhibition he is capable of playing great tennis but not several matches in a row.

Kyrgios could be the story of this AO, his home turf plus him saying he feels he is ready for big things and that he will retire if he wins GS. I already see a lot of media coverage for him.

I like those odds @slaman29 and think I will pull the trigger on placing a bet now after waiting for over a week to do it.
So 2.5mbtc is worth $50usdt right now? I guess it is due to the recent jump up in price at $21k in the past 24 hours.
Will be placing my bet at over 12x odds on Nadal now before everybody does and it drives the price down to 11x again.
Thanks for the betting advice!
Hopefully you guys manage to get some free bets out of this one. There is no way Nadal is winning this year. He is out of form and has problems with injuries, would not even be surprised if he pulls out from the tournament. If he plays I am playing against him all the way, first solid player he encounters will make him big problems. I will even go that far and say that maybe even Draper in round one has a chance to take down Nadal. Odds on Nadal are @1.4 in that match, any other time they would e 1.01 and that tells you how bad the situation with Nadal really is.

Odds are like that because nobody else can take Australia this year, Alcaraz was a big contender before dropping out to injury. As it is now this is basically already in Djoković pocket.

Sporsbet gave us many good promos in the past but this is not one of them  Grin

I finally pulled the trigger on Nadal because the odds went up as high as I wanted it to go, and in fact even higher. Wanted to post it yesterday but forgot. It seems I should have waited even longer however as today it became 15x and 16+x with boost on Sportsbet.

For some reason Novak is now very far ahead of everyone 1.67. Daniil is 6.7 the next closets and then it's Stefanos over 13x. I don't know anything about the reason but just a few days ago Nadal was number 3rd with 7.5x. What is going on Smiley

EPL has a match today with Aston Villa taking on Leeds United.
It doesn't sound like a goal inspired one but since Fulham beat Chelsea yesterday 2-1,  it seems anything can happen during these single weekday games.
If you feel you know which team will take this one, then feel free to put in your selection here:
https://sportsbet.io/sports/event/soccer/england/premier-league/aston-villa-v-leeds-united-63b2297807dc5a208f907448

Will probably put in my pick for the EPL forum pool closer to the match time since I haven't decided which one will win this game yet.

^^ Yeah, the good old days when you could pick your outright. Better still were the good old 30/1 or 15/1 specials on straight sets and such. Made a lot and Bitcoin wasn't at ATH then.

Not really a good tennis bettor but when I had time, used to bet live on the favourite after going down a set (or against them when they're a set up and this will be what I do on Nadal if I'm online during his matches). Seems much more value odds especially if you catch a great swing.

I will also start betting against Nadal quite early. I might take the promo just for fun, but it's going to be a tough GS for him.
He lost both of this season's matches (vs Norrie and de Minaur) after winning the 1st set, which probably shows he physically just can't cope anymore.

Both Norrie and de Minaur are good players, so Nadal will probably still do well in the first few rounds. But I'm taking him to lose against the first player in the top 30 he will be facing.
Think of it as a hedge on Nadal then. And yeah, these promo are just for the fun of the tournaments and not to bet more than you are not willing to put on other bets you marginally think would have a chance at winning.
Because Rafa was hurting the last time I saw him play back in September/October with an torn abdominal muscle from one match. I think that is when he withdrew from the ATP to recoup from his back issues.
I am quite hyped for the Australian Open and will be putting more than just 7.5mbtc through out the tournament in total on all bets I will make on both the men's and women's sides.

Ah, so the odds for Nadal are back up (boost that and you should get the 12/1 odds I did.

I seem to remember the promo being $20 freebet and not $10 you mention (and as now displayed on the promo page -- so maybe I was mistaken there. Freebet of course on SB!

7 rounds in AO so Nadal would need to win QF to get all the money back, but it's still a great promo.

Yes its $10 though and if we bet using btc instead, Sportsbet only need us to bet minimum of 2.5 mbtc to qualify for the promotion and this is around $44 atm though. Yeah its a small difference but I think its just better to use mbtc than usdt if you have some bits lying around in your balance

Thus being said, I was about to bet yesterday then my balance wasnt enough so I needed to deposit to the site. Somehow I competely forget about this then when I check it earlier, I cant bet on it again  Roll Eyes FML I guess

This outright promotion is just so sick. I dont really follow Tennis anymore but how many rounds are there going to be until the final? with minimum of 50 usdt worth of outright bet, Nadal just needed to win 5 games though then Im content with and even better if he gets through until final. Its written free-bet though so cmiiw but this can be used on sportsbet isnt it?

That is great promo but nowhere near as good as when they let us chose the winner. I wouldn't even mind if they removed Djoković from contention as the biggest favorite. I just don't think Nadal will get far, he is out of form, has chronic injury problems and if this wasn't a Grand Slam I am sure he would be out in round two or three. However this is grand slam and there simply isn't anybody that can count on a win in 5 sets against Nadal, he is a fighter like nobody else and I wouldn't be surprised if he has a lot of problems but scrapes trough and then raises his game with every match all the way to final.

@buwaytress & @slaman29

The AO promotion is looking good and the odds for Nadal has changed back to 11.00x so there maybe value to some to grab him at those odds now.

Just read the Australian Open promo, still a lot of time to make bets on it. Right now Rafael Nadal is only 7.5, I would think he should be at least above 10x, how is it Felix and Nick are below him as favorites? Even 2 years ago yes, but after all his injuries, for him to get even into the semifinals would be outrageous at his age.

Anyway, I'll wait for 8x or more to take this bet Smiley

Have to say I agree with you about odds value anyway.

Sometimes it does feel absurd in sports to write someone off just because they're "old" and has injuries to contend with... it's just the seriousness of his most recent one (remember Nick had the nice walkover just because of that, and that kind of tear you know is touch and go).

Yes, he won last AO, yes, the media is whipping him up to frenzy as top seed but that's only because Alcaraz is out...

So when I got him at 12/1, that was to me, enough value to look at but at odds below 8/1 now, it's not really. However, this outright promo only needs him to win 3 times to get more than your money back so I'd take him now anyway =)

Wait any longer and the odds won't improve I think...

So now they face each other in the FA Cup in 2 days:
And this is where City has the biggest advantage, their super long bench. Nobody has that much qoulity just waiting to get subbed on. Those substitution in the last game were very telling. Here are the players that came on for Chelsea: Auba, Chukwuemeka, Hutchinson, Hall and Galagher.
And then you have this for City: Akanji, Lewis, Mahrez, Grealish and Philps while Alvarez still sits on the bench as unused sub.

Ouf yeah. I made the Chelsea bet on both games long before all those injuries so now the odds are 95/10 and I only got 68/10. It usually pays to be early with underdogs but as soon as you got injuries against Citeh, you're more or less finished.

Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs... they do have some quality but not all across the field. Anyone who can't see the gulf when you're putting on pimple-faced youngsters or Milner and Auba as subs... well.
