How many stress has release, the employee of Sportsbets who had the idea of paying early the bets of Manchester City champion?.
And maybe bragging, like "I was correct.

Amazings matchs we had today. I think if Liverpool had scored before, and the information of the Liverpool winning the game arrives to the Etihad Stadium before city made a comeback, the city players maybe can fall down in morale and cant make the comeback.

In this ocassions is when one say. The two teams deserves the tittle.

In the other importants matchs, Leeds maintaing the category. And the West Ham let go the chance to go to the europa league because Manchester United finally lose against Crystal Palace.

Coming back to the city game, when it was 2-0 for Villa i remember the 3-2 against QPR, and they made it again.

No need to learn more about EPL, this was just a separate deal made between 2 clubs, if City win the title. And that's because they included that clause as part of the deal for Grealish to transfer from Villa to City.

The way the table stands right now, it's guaranteed if City win the last game agains Aston Villa. Liverpool could still draw or lose and City will win regardless, so Villa could still win with City winning the title, then the bonus is theirs.

Similarly my team Barca bought from Liverpool Coutinho and there were supposed to be bonus payments for achievements, but apparently none of them were true (clubs denied it, but I bet it actually happened), but t's very common for player sales to have bonus terms, instead of price.
That makes sense. In that case Villa sure would love to get that extra bonus, but since it is unknown like you said, they wouldn't be really holding their breath for it, I am sure that they would be doing a lot better if they just ranked better and would prefer that. It means that they will do their best but I am sure that they still wouldn't care about who is the winner but also fail to win since it's City we are talking about.

I mean City could beat almost anyone, maybe have trouble against Liverpool as we have seen before, but that's about it, I do not think that it would matter to them if it s Chelsea of Villa, if it's about winning the title, they will win no matter what.

It's been discussed above and other threads and yes, the club wants the bonus, but they would never make it clear to ask their team to lose so they can pocket 18M AND if their fans learned about it, the owners would probably be in hot shit lol

Either case players see all these things different and will only play their best regardless. Mid table ranks don't really change much the season end deals but I read that one position increases your percentage of the TV rights in England, which is almost 2 billion Euros so I wonder if 1% of that is 20 million which is then even more than getting 18M from losing.

Steve: special on Norwich + Arsenal win for UCL glory please?

@buwaytress are you planning to wager on Arsenal, and it won’t be a bad bet considering they badly need to win to keep their hopes alive of playing in the champions league next year.

Oh hell yes. Final day of season, I actually don't have much left in the bank but it could swell considerably if Liverpool win the title (not counting on it, of course, but I had over 8/1 outright on them to win the league and that settles end of today).

The must-do 5-leg acca of course, but also an outlier on Arsenal and Norwich to both win, so we get some tasty odds.

Even if I end the day with nothing, it's going to be a fun day.

Good luck for the drop guys!

It is Bitcoin Pizza Day tomorrow and Sportsbet are increasing their prizes that they have distributed during the week to the highest level. The most attracting prize for me is of course the 100 mbtc Bitcoin drop. My luck didn't turn in the previous years but I'm feeling myself lucky this year. It would be good if a forum member wins it at least. Besides, the winner of the title is going to be determined in the Premier League tomorrow. Even though Manchester City are very advantageous, I expect a resistance by Gerrard's team.

Nice, did not even know we have so many things dropping out today. I knew about free bet and that is it. Chips and spins will be fun also but we all want that highly coveted 100 mBTC drop. Best of luck and hope lot's of them get dropped to forum members.

@slaman29 earlier these bonus or buyout clauses weren’t that common, but recently they’re included in almost every player’s contract, and they only come to light when they’re completed hence I feel that you’re right Villa might have inserted some bonus clause in Grealish contract and we’ll come to know post the game.

It was a really lucky day for me. When I saw Trofo in the Clubtalk chat, I asked him for some games to bet on. And he said to me that he was waiting for both teams to score in all of the three games today (Thank you buddy). After that, I made a bet on Everton with the drop I got due to the Pizza Day. And it won. I'd like to thank all the Sportsbet family for caring about Bitcoin history.
Glad I could help, was a bit aftaid for Burnley game but it turned out ok in the end. It was fun on clubtalk yesterday. I am not often there so it helps when I see few familiar names from the forum.

I was also laughing on the all the profanity those 2 useres exchanged in my local language  Grin Better that majority of chat didi not understand.

So if Aston Villa loses, they could make around 18 million bonus? How does that work? I gotta start learning more about the premier league payment structure, how could a team end up losing and earn more money?

In my nations league you get paid based on where you end up and the higher you are the more money you make, so if you win even the last game then you end up making more money, plus making money for winning a game as well but it's small compared to end of the league amount. I could be wrong, there could be a better situation but at the end of the day it's rarely ever about the team who is lower in the standings end up making more money in any nation I know of.

I am not sure this is going to be walk in a park for Man City against Aston Villa, they have to win and Villa could be remember of taking their scalp if they get a draw or surprise win.
Was talking with Trofo about this in one of our pool threads, and I know so many reasons exist for Villa not to do their best against City including that 18 million bonus. BUT I still feel that in EPL especially there is something that small teams feel in their bones about making a great memory, not necessary to lift trophies, it's not about that, but to have a final say in the outcome of the title.

Nothing is more perfect for them to sign off this season by taking the title from City and giving it to someone else. Remember also, this damned City took their favorite player away from them Wink

Sorry about last night Southampton & sportsbet.io but needs must Cheesy
We take it to the last game, most likely Man City will batter Aston Villa but all we could do is keep pressuring them & take it to the final day.

Grealish has a contract clause were Villa gets 18 million if City is champion.

I read this on multiple places, it was first said by Micah Richards if I recall correctly.

Not really sure it's the case, when City bought Grealish they triggered the release clause - meaning that the specified amount needs to be paid in full. If it was like that - than for sure there are no extra clauses in the contract.

If however that clause does exist, I'm sure Gerrard will be put under pressure - 18 million is a solid first team player.
I was thinking this could be fake news but then there should have been some official statement from Villa or City saying that it is bullshit. Since there wasn't such statement I am treating the rumor as truth.

It is contract, written on paper and in possession of both clubs and regulating authority. Should not leave any room for guessing IMHO.

Previous H2H matches are all on City side, and I won't bet on Villa win, but I might take some asian handicap on them, because I don't think City will win with big goal difference.
Liverpool is in similar situation but they will have to think about Champions League final against Real Madird as well.
As I already wrote in other thread this one is very tricky to judge, especially Villa motivation.

Steven Gerrard is Villa coach and I am sure he would do anything to take the title from City and give it to his beloved reds.

Grealish has a contract clause were Villa gets 18 million if City is champion.

Who knows how will they handle that opposing motivations and against City they have to be of one mind to have any chance.
