Damn it Saints. Oh well, still played pretty ok, more chances with less possession, but I thought right wing decision making seemed odd too often. Anyway, a point is a point.
Why do you guys all talk about the international break like it is one of the worst things in football ever. I mean we do have summers where there are zero club games at all, how do you sustain for that long if you can't skip just one week
. All in all, I wagered on some of the games, thanks to Italy lost a good chunk, thanks to Portugal regained that chunk and now I am back to gambling on the club games all over again.
I am not saying that you can't have a preference, of course you can have a preference but I do not think that having zero interest in something doesn't make it a bad thing for the rest of us. I enjoyed it, and now I will enjoy these as well.
It is the worst thing in football, ever. What are you talking about?
The pre-season is bad, yes, but that's expected and we want everyone to rest and reset, etc. But internationals are interruptions. 2 or 3 weeks of pointless games usually (sorry but Nations League, for example, is a glorified friendly tourney), where players get injured and worse, team form is thrown out the window (makes it impossible to bet sometimes).
No wait, maybe worse is that the games that aren't in tournament propers are exceedingly dull. Pace far slower, teams more careful, rivalries aren't as bitter.
It's okay if it's not a bad thing for you, and I get that, but that doesn't stop it from being the period I look forward to the least. It's similar to how annoyed I feel watching a series and then 10 minutes of inane ads interrupt. I'm okay to wait for a week for next episode, even a year for next season. Those ads though? I'm not as okay with but I swear my kids actually love them...
