I agree with most of your preferences besides those matches that I don't know anything about and besides Leipzig (I think he will be the winner of the first half).

I also added a couple more matches, so let's see who comes further!  Cheesy

I say what I say in the relation of English football in the top league Smiley
Lol that is a good approach I suppose, non-league would probably not be close to where I am from, I mean we are worse but we are not THAT much worse Cheesy. That is why I said somewhere between bottom of championship or top of league 1, that would be a smart place to put our champions each year, but then our champion changes as well and last year's champion is doing very bad right now, kind of like how lille is doing at ligue 1, so it is quite similar.

In the end, I just wanted to say they are not bad teams, watching teams like norwich and newcastle is still fun for me, even for relation to premier league because those teams are still playing a decent football, they just do not have the talent to go up against other big clubs bu their style is still quite good. You know how our local teams play football even in the wrong tactics and even if they were good players, they just played 90's football even today? That's what I meant, like even a bad roster in England is usually playing well and good football.

Well I do not even want to see where in FIFA ranking we are all I know is that it is 100+ and it is always around the same spot. We get some good footballers but they always think like they are still playing in the village and most I guess have no such thing as disciplined lifestyle,,, still partying. But the pay is terrible and that is the whole thing around it. Low education and low prospects,,, football is not a good career to have in parts of the world. But I know what you mean of course Smiley

There is no such thing as too much football. And yes, to SirLancelot, I think the majority of people here support and watch clubs in countries they've never visited -- I've been supporting Liverpool for about 20 years now and I only got to see them twice (once, courtesy Sportsbet.io actually!). And I know many others who probably never will. Absolutely nothing wrong about that. Are all spoilt? Probably. But when Mane's giving out hundreds of Liverpool shirts to kids in his village in Senegal, and they all watch him play whenever they can find a game on tv, and get so much joy out of seeing their very own local hero score goals against giants of the game.

Another experience I had: In 2013, I was in the most remote corner of a country, accessible only by boat and population less than 30 people. No mobile signal, no electricity, no TV. But in the corner of one room I saw a Liverpool scarf from the 1970s (IIRC) adorning the wooden shack wall. Guy didn't even know who was playing for Liverpool anymore but it was one of his most treasured memories from long ago.

I think for all these experiences, I think it's okay to be spoilt by English football =)

You guys are basically "spoiled" for watching premier league all the time or just being fan of a club there (or even maybe live in England I suppose). Not really "spoiled" in a bad sense, in a very good sense. Imagine living in a third world country where the football is at a level where the team who dominates the league here would not be able to stay away from relegation at championship stage let alone premier league.

Our best team is probably somewhere around league 1 level and not even championship level, or maybe it could be championship level but definitely somewhere at bottom half. So when you are watching a team like Newcastle or Norwich or Burnley, you are actually watching a "great" team, just not great compared to other premier league teams so it looks like they are playing badly but in reality those teams would be easily champions in our league, probably "near" undefeated as well.

Where are you from dude? Football can be watched all around the world, it’s OK for you to pick a foreign team to support. The biggest clubs in the PL wouldn’t be so big if they only had local support.
Exactly, that is the benefit of globalization. Provided you have a fast internet connection you can watch premium football anywhere. There is so many services and streams, both free and paid, that we are really spoiled for choice. I rarely watch our local league (Croatian) even though it is way better and more interesting than "ever" since it still can't compete with Premier League and Champions League millions and qoulity.

I don’t know where you live but you do know that big clubs often tour to country’s outside Europe, because they have a mass following there too hence location doesn’t really matter. Also since you haven’t picked a club yet to support why not make good use of sportsbet.io free bets or boosted odds, and wager small bets across few big clubs and then see which football club style attracts you and then religiously follow them.

I do not live in England,,, just a fan of a London club (Tottenham Hotspur) and yes I guess I am spoiled. It is just the language I think as we all grew up watching English football other than local football.

I supported/watched local football like everybody else and I do come from a third world country but live/work in a 2nd world (or whatever you call it, I work in a place richer than where I come from). I think even non-league teams from England would be champion at our leagues.

Yesterday's games were unique in their own way, all 3 relegation threat clubs played, and the bottom 2 were also interesting for the aspect that both have managerial changes.

New teams, new look, new future, but in the end, same boring draw but the reports at least say that Newcastle were great even with 10 men, and Leeds + Palace played exciting football anyway.

Bottom teams will probably show us how bad the really are  Smiley
I have no idea how to predict winner for Newcastle vs Norwich so it's probably going to be boring draw, but H2H history suggest that Newcastle have better score.
Same goes for Leeds who lost against Crystal Palace last time back in 2006, and I do expect to see some goals in this match.

Chelsea was hands down the best team yesterday but Man Utd put up a good defense that handled Chelsea's attack well. If the penalty didn't happen, Man Utd might have taken all 3 points back home which would be a shock to a lot of people including myself. Carrick took a conservative approach yesterday. Used fast attacking players and a solid defense incase a counter breaks out (and it did) which they utilized well.
Yeah they really played very well and if you look at the highlights you could even see it there. They had such a great situation in their hands and they played very well and I think they were a bit unlucky as well. I believe that they will do a lot better if they tried again but that was it, I suppose United got as much as a win here because even a tie against the top team is great after what happened to them.

Chelsea is still great though, not like having one game like this suddenly makes them worse they are definitely a great team. Also Tuchel has turned this team into a magnificent team, it shows how a great manager could make all the changes in the world for a team. They fired their manager mid season and they ended up becoming so much better. I am half expecting something like that from Barcelona as well this year, let's see how they will do.

I am actually a Man Utd fan so I am delighted with the appointment of Rangnick. Klopp and Tuchel seem to think he is a good manager.

Remember everyone - there is mid-week football this week. I will be back to Sportsbet to try and win some BTC haha.

The EPL calendar is jam packed with games for the next month. As I said yesterday, it’s the most exciting time of the year for football fans.

Tonight we have -

Newcastle vs Norwich
Leeds vs Crystal Palace
Can Newcastle win their first game of this season, what your views about this match, guys?

New management having some good time, or they are going to relegate, even spending some good money.

My feeling is Newcastle will be lost this match, and they will relegate to Championship for next season.

Now if only we can see my team Spurs play like that. Usually we are in high possession and most attacks and still can end up losing Smiley

Also it is strange for me to read this (at least in the recent times that we know about them) but Manchested United put up a good defense has not been a phrase in use to describe them for a very long time,,, but I saw the Sancho goal on replay, people are not talking enough about how calmly he fooled the keeper with a subtle move.

So United took points off Chelsea. Would have been a glorious win if not for the penalty gift. 15 corners and it was one-sided but Chelsea were actually toothless in the box.
