I am thinking Nadal no chance since he is not 100% ready, by his own words and he missed games in ATP cup, and his game depends on stamina very much. Djoko is always a contender since he gets into his opponents head and makes them play out of their comfort zones. That being said the new generation of heavy hitters, Zverev, Tsitispas, Thiem and Medvedev have good chances of getting far and even taking the trophy. Every one of them can win against Djoko or Nadal.
Raonic, Beretini, Shapoval and similar are tier 3 for me and they can pull some surprises on their good day but they don't have quality to do it till the end of tournament.
Yup, I do agree - but Nadal literally can't lose until his QF match. I assume Tsitsipas will be there, if not him, then most likely Berrettini. Both good players, agreed, but still not good enough for Nadal if he's at 100%. Semis probably Medvedev or Rublev and that will be the first big test for him.
Đoković has 11-0 against Raonic, a crazy H2H against a really good player. Not expecting Raonic to win this one but am interested to see at what level Đoković's return game is.
I was talking without looking at the drafts, just sort of general points.
If there comes a match between Nadal and Tsitisi I am playing something on Tsitsi for sure, to take set, handicap and maybe even outright win, depending on odds. Tsitsi id perfect player to take out Nadal, big strikes from both wings and most importantly, he will not be afraid, he believes he can take him. Last 3 matches went the distance every time and Nadal just edged them. Tsitisi is getting better as time passes and I am quite sure Nadal is not. It is just a matter of time.
