...the multi magic is still on thanks to the almighty North Macedonia who got it done, 2:1 win vs. Estonia at home.

I thought they might be hungover after the win on Thursday which qualify them for their first Euro, no Pandev no problem today.

All eyes on Albania and their match with Kazakhstan, it's a must win if they want to have a chance at winning their group. Fingers crossed.

Yup, that Thuram crap still stings, although more than 20 years have passed. The fact that he scored one with his left foot from outside of the box makes it hurt even more.

I can compare it with that Kompany goal against Leicester 2 years ago. LFC finally in the race until the end, you could smell the title, Leicester holding City to a draw, Kompany kicking it out of desperation and the ball flying in like he's the perfect finisher. It's 1 out of a 100 but still happens - always when it hurts the most Grin

Dude, I almost forgot about that until you reminded me (WHY). But that season was full of pain. I was watching The City-Liverpool game on LIVE TEXT when our goal was cleared literally 1 mm off the line, or we would have got that goal and the point we needed to win the league... of course, that almost 0-0 too, I watched that game and Kompany goal. And then the Brighton short-lived lead heh.

I suppose not as painful as United nightmares from Aguerooooooooooooooo...

Mbappe didn’t play dude, France won 1-0 regardless though, I didn’t watch it live but just saw the goal. You would have got nice odds if you’d bet on 1st goalscorer (N’Golo Kante is not known for his goalscoring Wink)
Fun fact: Lilian Thuram scored 2 goals in his 142 appearances for France. Both in the semi final of World Cup 1998 against Croatia in their win 2:1. So you know why I remember them very well even today Smiley That is when you know it wasn't meant to happen for you.

Your last sentence immediately invoked those bad memories. So France has a history of players not known for goal scoring scoring goals when you don't want them to. I had Portugal not to lose on one ticket yesterday.

Lewis "G.O.A.T" Hamilton. There are no more doubts for me that he is the greatest of all time as he had another race when he had to recover lap by lap in order to have a chance at podium and after he found his race pace he showed that no matter what place he has on grid , he is unstoppable! Today is all about Hamilton and his 7th tittle in F1!

Depends how serious players take the game. I have a suspicion that most players aren’t as highly motivated for the ‘UEFA Nations League’ as they are for other competitions. If they both put out strong lineups I think France will win, probably.

I think there are other motivations such as showing the best game in order to get more value in the transfer market between clubs next season
I still remember the time of Kylian Mbappé became the best player when France won the tournament a few years ago and see now he's become one of the most expensive players  Cheesy so let's see today if he repeats that success.

The F1 qualifiers were amazing today and I'm glad Mercedes was not in pole position as we need more diversity in F1 in order for the fans to enjoy it. Stroll is still under investigation tho alongside other 10 pilots for Q1 lap timings so they should not celebrate the pole yet.

2 hour Qualifying session!! impossible to not watch it.. so much fun!

No one can master the newly laid track in Turkey... hoping it stays the same for the race day!

Steve.

Indeed. I heard that with some night before they hired pro racers in order to make drifts alongside the track to put some gum in the ideal trace but it didn't work as the rain ruined everything today but at least they tried to make it more gummy. Tomorrow for sure will be a great race as we can have overtakes all over the circuit and I have doubts that Stroll will win as Perez and Max looks way more fast in my opinion.

.........Portugal wouldn't mind a draw since they're ahead by goal diff......
France have the chance to be higher than Portugal even with a draw.
If two teams end the group stage with equal points, the first tie-breaking criteria is their head-to-head matches.

@ralle14 I don’t think that we will be seeing a boring draw because Portugal is in excellent form, and even though France has been sloppy I yet don’t expect them to settle and play for a draw. Also Portugal have conceded very less goals, hence in my personal opinion they’re the favourites to win this match.

Portugal have lot of good players now. Anything could happen as France has also haven't been in their best form. Though could go either way. Mbappe is out today due to thigh injury so Giroud could start maybe or maybe Ben Yedder. I think Portugal have good chance of winning this one.

Right, so we did have some nervous moments with Malta, Andorra had the early lead but the own goal took us right back in for Multi Magic, 1st leg in. Malta's also on my other parlay, so had quite a bit riding on it but one leg Gibraltar already out (0-0) but that's what you get when you're playing against another minnow, bottom of your group and you get a man sent off... 10 men camping for the point! Hope the other 3 legs hit then I get insurance haha.

Still toying with a France/Croatia parlay.

Euro 2021 will be a lot better than this, this is more like Fifa and Uefa getting together to make sure they get their money they couldn't get this summer but they will get it at Euro anyway so this is just a bit of income for them to cover all the costs they would have and couldn't cover due to pandemic, just a strategic and economically charged tournament that has zero meaning and nobody really cares who wins, it is really not important at all.

However euro 2021 will not be like that, it will become something that was long awaited and couldn't have because of pandemic, when it arrives everyone will be waiting for it an extra +1 year on top of waiting for it on regular breaks, so it will definitely have one of the most awaited situation and fans all around the world will probably show a lot more care and players will try to play a lot better than this nations league thingy.

With the current squad of Portugal I really have doubts that they will play at a draw so it will be even a victory for them or a defeat against France. A draw would be nice for the show as none of the teams will be upset after 90 minutes.

Question : Is your country present at EURO 202(1) ? Mine is not Sad.

Since their first match ended in a goalless draw, if their coming match ends in a goalless draw too, they will be ranked based on their goal difference and Portugal will be higher than France.
If their coming match ends in a 1-1 draw or 2-2, ...., France will have higher number of goals scored away from home in head-to-head matches and will be ranked higher than Portugal.

I have a feeling we'll have more than 2 goals in Portugal's game against France. Something like a 3-2 win or even 2-1.  Since the last one ended in a barren draw, we might have something different. Maybe I'd just go with both teams to score instead.
I kind of agree with Trofo as well that match feels like a draw since both teams are currently tied for 10 pts France wouldn't let them get away with a win that easy and Portugal wouldn't mind a draw since they're ahead by goal diff. The odds on DNB or Portugal +0 is kind of low but it could be a good alternative then again BTTS isn't bad either. Anyway good luck with the multi.

Anybody placed bet on the National League so far? Liking this multi with boosted odds.
Not really liking your picks. Portugal - France screams another 0:0 match to me and Croatia will concede at least one goal for sure. If you are believing in them I would go with both to score. But don't listen to me I am terrible in predicting national matches Smiley

Maybe I'd just go with both teams to score instead.  Sweden has been terrible so far so an easy win for Croatia even if Sweden manages to score.

Predicting Nations League has never been easy. It just seems like the teams have very little motivation to actually win games.
