Anyway Tsitsipas delivered most of the pool's expectation so its another classic Tsitsipas - Ruud final like last week. Tsitsipas should be able to win this one given that the surface is clay. It would be epic if he win another one here after winning last week

A Tsitsipas win would get me back on level terms here and I really need it.

Man City is out of the equation now, so there is only Barcelona vs Real Madrid left for the decider.

Damn!! notblox1 what a comeback from your team!! from being down 3-0 to 3-3!!! Damn!!! This was painful😂😂 But well played! 1 point for both..
All NBA games and Manchester City results played in my favor this time, but there is tennis final question left and I will have to wait for official confirmation from cro2 team.
This was challenging round for me and every point counts, but it was very well played from you and this match should be remembered in BSFL history books.  Grin
Situation on top of Division 1 is getting seriously hot!

BSFL Cup - Season 4

This season we have 54 teams eligible for the cup. Top 10 placed teams in Division 1 after this round concludes are free. Remaining 44 teams will play qualifying round. Winners (22) plus those free will form 32 teams knockout bracket.

Following week we have 2 rounds: qualifying and round 1. Each round will have 5 questions + penalty question to resolve draws. That means everyone must enter answers in the form (those 10 free players can answer only 2nd set of 5 questions). All will be clear when you see the form tomorrow.

Draw will be made as soon as this round is over. Questions will be live tomorrow evening. Rewards will be up soon as well.

Indeed. I didn't think he would have that many issues during the game as clay is his best surface, isn't it?

Yeah statistically he won 4 titles on clay and the last one was a week ago but the thing with Tsitsipas is that, he is quite unpredictable. I almost thought he would lose tonight though after losing the first set but it was still pretty close game for my taste

Extremely unpredictable, that's Tsitsipas! He was fazed with a couple of match points today but he overcame them, even though he secured an early break of serve in the 3rd set and one would have expected him to see that through a bit easier than what turned out to be a need for a tie break to win the set and match.
Don't make it all about Tsitisipas, I did not watch the match today but I watched his opponent previously in this tournament and he played some incredible tennis. +5.5 games on him was a value bet for me today. Too bad I coupled it with both to score on Lazio game. Ah well, you win some, lose some  Grin

Turns out, that the biggest critic now has to acknowledge that he finally delivered.

The discussion about tennis players is always a central point where opinions clash, but I think it is a very interesting part you include into the competition. Well, cheers!

NBA turned out to be exactly good, predicted as if this were Dream League upper bracket. No idea about teams, and hit all four. Must flex like this more often but t won't matter if Chelski lose later as I got a bet on them, hedged by bsfl of course.
If that is true I believe I get the point on that question as well. Can't even be bothered to check basketball results - I am leaving that to cryptofrka  Grin

Fa Cup final just started, Chelsea opened without fear as they should. Only way to play against City. Now let's see if that will help them today.

This is the round when BSFL cup will start. It will be business as usual with qualification round where some top teams in Div 1 will be free (probably first 10). That leaves 44 teams that will battle it out for 22 spots in the cup. 22+10 gives us a nice starting point of 32 teams for perfect knockout bracket. This week will be played both qualification and first round so be ready. Treat this post as gossip, official one will follow later today or tomorrow morning at latest.

Speaking of Chelski, Vitesse in Eredivisie just got relegated with an 18 pt penalty. Used to be Chelsea playground club but apparently Abramovich still putting in millions in Vitesse.

notblox1 and slackovic what are you guys doing? 5 reds, hope you made multibet opposite your picks Tongue
The only win I have is against casperBGD who left the competition. Now I have enough different answers to turn this around against leea-1334, but I'm not that confident.

I'm trying not to have all my hopes up on Tsitsipas because when you is always when that Greek freak decides to burn you  Roll Eyes

Don't worry @slackovic I was just kidding about it, good luck to you, it's so crazy for me also, I was hoping to get the NBA question correct but it seems I only managed a draw, so I am still behind, looks like I will lose this round unless results are in my favor today.

@Harkorede, Tsitsipas destriyed me sooo many times, so I'm surprised I took him again. But now I prefer him to lose actually because if he loses and Ruud comes into final, I win my point Smiley

Don't make it all about Tsitisipas, I did not watch the match today but I watched his opponent previously in this tournament and he played some incredible tennis.

Where? He's having a below average season, the only top 50 players he won against this season were Cerundolo and Jarry in Buenos Aires 250, where he won the title.
He lost Monte Carlo to Sumit Nagal and then as LL took 6 games against Bautista Agut, lost Marrakech against 157th American I never heard of before.

In Barcelona he won against Čorić which isn't that big of a deal and ok, had 2 really good sets after going 1-0 down to Marozsan - that's probably something you watched Grin

I thought Tsitsipas would cover the handicap today, and I think in 4 out of 5 games against players like Acosta he covers it. I think the guy is average at best.
I said in this tournament, never before. He is mediocre player but something clicked for him this week in Barca. I am always backing thise players since odds are unbelievable.

To this day my biggest win ever is when Cecchinato won against Djoković in RG,  2018 I belive.

Yeah, it was probably just beginner's luck. But that's OK. I don't mind competing in division 2 in the next season.
Chin up! Still plenty of time for you to avoid relegation, we are only at the half of the season.

Yeah, I know. But it's pretty obvious that it will be hard to avoid relegation. If I'm not mistaken, I have a draw on the NBA question with three correct teams for me (Pelicans, Heat, 76ers) and leea-1334 (Heat, Lakers, Pelican). I had hopes that I can win that question and then equalize the round with the tennis question, but I guess it's not "my season".

Important one for my match with jayce as he took the risk and picked Nadal
He really loves it when Nadal is playing, what an old boomer  Tongue

Lmao no matter how old he is, as long as it's a clay court and he is in the draw, Nadal will be always my choice. Best left-handed tennis player ever and a madridista Embarrassed

Both correct that he is extremely unpredictable similar to Medwedew when he is having one of his weird phases. But in this case there is no Alcaraz, no Djokovic or no Nadal in great shape. Hence, Tsitsipas is an unpredictable player in a field of completely unpredictable players. That's why I still picked him as the tournament winner. I would usually not do that, but Nadal was a surprise bag at best and if he had won the tournament, I would have been happy for him despite losing the point because I like him as a sportsman, but would have never trusted in him winning the tournament. Ruud can be unpredictable as well and correct me if I am wrong, but clay isn't his best surface, is it?

Quite a better response from Stefanos in the 2nd set, after dropping the first set to Diaz-Acosta, this sucker had better not burn me this round  Angry
