sadly i forgot to answer the cup because usually the every question we got tag and the bot notify me but this one has no tag in it -_-
I prefer playing the match against someone for real, but this is the first time for me that my nemesis gave me free points.
Better luck in BSFL League matches, you are on good road to enter Division 2, so dont miss posting again.

Trofo was on concert
So Snake was spending my hard earn money I sent him in last round on concert, alcohol and dancing!  Angry
Mafiaman can you tell me how to find schedule for Cup?

New article is up guys. This one took a bit longer to get uploaded. Holiday times creeping up even in SB headquarters it seems  Cool
I can see you wrote this while under heavy influence of alcohol in your cold serpent blood.
So much bragging how you defeated me by pure luck and trickery.
Next time try to write article with clear head and blood.

Did someone check the odds for Union Saint-Gilloise to win that game against Liverpool?

it was around @2.15
so widely expected from Liverpool to lose against Union Royale in Belgium, after series of wins in Premier league
I do agree that Liverpool made their way into next round, but had to put something on them not to lose, for the sake of fair-play, since having Liverpool not-to-lose against Royale @1.73 is really a value bet, no matter team that they are putting on the pitch

nevertheless, they lost, but Toulouse made a win, and this game didn't matter at all in the end
but, it does not look good to see bookies expecting Liverpool to lose, just because they don't need a win

Pretty interesting how close it was for Union Saint-Gilloise to get into the next round. I didn't place any bets, but was quite sure that Liverpool would lose this game. I often read that people underestimate Union Saint-Gilloise, but they needed Toulouse to lose (lol, no pun intended, but pretty nice wordplay). Did someone check the odds for Union Saint-Gilloise to win that game against Liverpool?

LFC_Bitcoin, saving your performance for the big boys and pulling through by the skin of your teeth -- well done! Three penalty shootouts to go, I doubt I'd have made it past Round 1 with my poor show. Dire straits in league and in cup. Wow.

Yes, I'd rather have average players eating their salaries at home than messing things up. Some players in the Chelsea team should be dropped to make room for more experienced players, in my opinion. For example, Broja, Cucurella, and three more.

Absolutely. Hungry academy players are just much more exciting to watch than talented people who clearly have their minds elsewhere. I know practicalities mean a club can't just field kids all the time to "punish" disinterested seniors but fans actually are far more accepting of bad results when effort is apparent. Naive maybe, but that's how I've always felt.

Jinetics1111 I have to bow down and congratulate you. I thought I might have a chance to improve my 3rd place cup record but things never go the way we love, I hope you go far.

Nothing to play for in round 2 so I let my players rest.

Newcastle, Porto, either did not meet my expectations or flew over it. Football luck Smiley

Thanks bro, I'm trying to improve my record in the cup and represent the SB Club talk gang as best as I can. Maybe we meet again in the future and have a nice rematch.  Grin Grin

Chelsea will easily qualify from the groups of AC Millan, Dotmund, and PSG. The only two occasions we did not advance from the group stage, we went undefeated in the Europa League.

somehow, agree to this
even being like this as it is now, Chelsea managed to kick Dortmund from CL last season
and Dortmund was better than now

Newcastle and Manchester (both United) didn't managed to get at least 3rd spot and continue European path, probably worst CL group stage for English teams, at least as I remember it
maybe some statistician better than me would pull-out a season where more than 2 English teams finished 4th in CL group stage

As darxiaomi has been eliminated my opponent in the cup has become ralle14. I want to break my bad luck in the cup this year and want to reach at least the semi finals. However I'm aware that this isn't easy. Good luck to ralle14 on the matchup.

If Newcastle weren't struggling with injured and suspended players I also think that they would have qualified from this group.

Oh, wow! I didn't see that coming, because Manchester City won the UCL last season, now they're better representative for English teams in UCL, you lots were full of several slanders, bs and whatnot especially the "Without Messi Guardiola would never have won the UCL, and he wasn't going to win it with Manchester City irrespective of how good they are in the league".

And does that mean in your opinion Chelsea would have represented England better this season in the champions league than Newcastle had done ?

I've never been anti-Pep; he's easily the greatest coach of our generation; nevertheless, I've always been against City winning the Champions League in order to match Chelsea's successes at the current pace.

The last time we were in the CL, we had the worst league result and nevertheless advanced to the quarter-finals after beating AC Milan at home and away, ending Dortmund's unbeaten run and knocking them out.

Chelsea will easily qualify from the groups of AC Millan, Dotmund, and PSG. The only two occasions we did not advance from the group stage, we went undefeated in the Europa League.

Thanks for the slight dig you threw at me, but at least you were very professional and kept my name off the article, I'm sure my little secret is safe and its just a BSFL in house story  Wink

Only Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester city knows to play this competition and to give us a better representation.

Damn... I managed to beat the only team that was unbeaten this season and still didn't get a mention in the article. That's pretty disappointing Sad But that's OK. I like my three points and a freebet (that I managed to lose already Grin ) more than a mention in some article Tongue

Same here, never passed first round. Was having high hopes for this time since I knew I had 1:0 lead. Then I was out on Bryan Adams concert and lost whole day yesterday and today I see I managed to loose once more.

One more classic cup blunder from team Trofo. Will update the draw after penalties today.

same here, I am always out first round (or second in my case, since I was free in first round)
hopefully this time will be different

if I am remember right, my opponent Navidart kicked me from cup last season, so it is a good time to make it different this time
all the best and my the luckier opponent pass through

Regardless of experience, there is always a first time first for everything, and from AC Milan injury list Kalulu is about the only player there that can be considered an integral part of the squad or a regular starter, Newcastle were a tad unlucky yesterday because they were the better team, in my candid opinion..

If only you, Trofo and buwatress had listened to my unbiased opinion Newcastle united earlier.......

I don't want to see Newcastle united and Manchester united anywhere near the CL ever again! Lol  Grin

Too bad for the Newcastle champions league competition to have come to an abrupt and short end, I really hoped for more after that Joelinton's bullet, but that's "How a cookie crumbles - Hhampuz, 2020"

I told you Newcastle United didn't have the players to advance past the group stage of the UCL, but you guys called me mad man

Players to advance past group stage ? Would you say AC Milan and Dortmund both have players better than that of Newcastle ? I would strongly disagree on that opinion, Newcastle might have lacked the experience for playing in Europe but not the players, and Newcastle are injury plagued, while the couple of players that returned are still not at a 100% match fitness level, but I don't quite agree that an AC Milan squad that is playing its attack with Leao, Giroud and a Pulisic that couldn't make a name for himself when he was playing in the premier league are better than Newcastle best attacking options without any injury crisis.

Both pulisic and Giroud are multiple European champions! Thats where the experience comes in. Respect

Yes, Dortmund and AC Milan have more experienced players than Newcastle United! The only surprise was PSG's equalizing and sending AC to the Europa; everyone knew Newcastle wouldn't advance from their group.  They sold you guys false dreams with the only win against PSG ( the only good game they had in the entire fixtures)

Taking about injury; check AC Millan list.

However, they got themselves in this mess or position after losing home and away to Dortmund, I guess that was the worse thing that could happened to them, after getting a win from PSG, a draw from Milan in the first, Dortmund should have been the least of their worries and they should have done better in those games, 3 point from either game could have saw them qualify for the next round or at least spot in the Europa League, but there is no point beating a dead horse, they are still in good position to make run to be present in next season champions league too, so maybe it's a lesson learnt already for them.

Nice, Porto won by at least two goals to seal my qualification spot, and well played to my opponent. Cheesy

Also, congrats to those who won in the Newcastle promo.

Hahaha man congratulations to you, as always i go out of the cup in the first round, is incredible but i play like a shit in this competition.

Edit: I read that article. These players were dropped from squad but still under contract. Like Sancho at United. Not named in squad but still getting paid.

So, my next opponent in the cup is famososMuertos. I think we played in the past, I just don't remember was it in the first season while I was in Division 2 or in the last season. It doesn't matter. We have enough different answers to make this an interesting round.
