I'm facing the Jeremypwr this time around, when does the fixture even get easier, there seem to be no easy opponent in the first division, these guys know their sports Huh  Sad
That is kind of point of first division only the best of the best Smiley

Yeah that can't have been too good for his confidence, they say in football, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory ha... 10/1 Norrie after going down a set was a bit of a lousy offering though, I might have taken it had I been watching.
I don't think Alcaraz has a confidence problem. Didn't watch but knowing him and reading that he wasn't moving well, I am thinking some minor injury. He is the guy that can run with Djoković so really uncharacteristic. Also he was world number one in era of Djoković, Nadal and some other greats at age of 18, that should give him enough confidence for the rest of days Smiley

I've submitted my predictions for the third round already, It's not an easy one still, but it's much less complicated than the previous round, there could be quite a lot of draw in this one since there is none of those H2H duel questions.

Lol good I didn't bet much on Alcaraz, 2nd set leading 3-0 and 40-0 I thought nothing can go wrong from there  Grin Also needing him to win to get 3 points in my match up. Definitely interesting week I was 2 down then managed to go 1 up and ended  in a draw.

Since Trofo said that discussion is encouraged, how do I even approach the DOTA question? I mean, it's 50-50 so I think I'll just wing it.

BTW - that crap is his, don't blame me for that one Grin

I saw it & though, damn how am I supposed to know this. I took a guess at Yes!
Sometimes having zero knowledge on something is fine, let’s be honest, I have lost more than enough bets thinking I am an expert Cheesy

My round 3 predictions are in, LFG!
Going to dig into the questions early tomorrow morning, hope most of it doesn't require me to wake up too much, that DOTA thing sounds like it could be a tricky question...

No is somehow my favoured approach when I don't know anything (like Round 2 Rugby haha).

Its 50-50 but to give you guys that dont really follow DOTA some clue, Team Liquid is currently and havent lost to any team yet in the Major. They won 6 times and 2 draws out of the last 8 group stage games ( Group B ) so yeah they are pretty good

Anyway, anything could have happened in the playoff after this because to reach the upper bracket final they will need to win 2 more times against another top teams in Group A which they havent play against so anything could happen at this points so its 50-50  Wink

I just found out something surprising to me! I went to answer this week's questions and in the process I had to turn off my computer. I took a screenshot of the answers I gave until then so I don't have to think about them again. To my surprise when I turned my computer on and opened the form, the answers I earlier selected were already selected. I really didn't know that answers are saved even if I don't submit the form. Maybe it's common knowledge but it was news to me so I wanted to share it here.

And about questions... Great work Trofo and cryptofrka! You somehow manage to give us interesting questions week after week.

Thank you for sharing your experience and thoughts on the questions! It's always good to learn something new, and it's great that you found a way to save your progress on the form. As for Trofo and cryptofrka, they do an excellent job in creating engaging and thought-provoking questions that keep us all interested and engaged. Keep up the great work, Trofo and cryptofrka!

I'm not an expert on dota games so this will make me do some research in order to get a correct answer. Grin

That is why I gave it as 50-50. So you can toss a coin this time and hopefully some of you will actually manage to learn what are upper and lower brackets and how it all works. Than I can post better questions in the next major.

Basically you have group stage at the begging, top teams go to upper bracket, bottom are out and those in the middle are in the lower bracket. When you lose knockot game in lower bracket you are out. When you lose a knockout game in upper bracket you drop down to lower bracket.

Great week for me - first points and free bet win. Can't believe that I got 9 players in Chelsea lineup right.
Now question about DOTA, it's first time in competition when I have to predict completely blindly. But it's Yes/No question, so, quite big chance to get it right.

Did not watch a single match from the tournament since it was played at night by my local time but I can't belive Alcaraz lost this one. Especially when he was set and break up and it was played on clay, just shows there is no sure things in sports.
Turned in match in the end of 2nd set. Don't know it was injury or just tired, but Carlito was hardly moving on the court, it's surprising that in such condition he was close from reaching tie break in 3ed set.
I went against majority in this tournament, and it was risky thing, considering that there were no players who are better than him on clay.

Congrats on the good fight Smiley I was sure that Alcaraz will be the question that I'll lose but it saved me from the loss in the end. Since I expected to lose from you, I'm happy that we ended up with a draw.

What a comeback win from Norrie but at the same time he ruined my prediction.  Tongue

When Alcaraz went up 2-0 in the second set I thought it's already over as the live odds were at 1.08 that time but he couldn't hold on for long and then the same goes for the third set. It sucks that I can't secure all three points but i'll take my first point.  Smiley

Deadline update. Lima Major now has a schedule and our game of interest is last one to be played on Tuesday. That means we can shift the deadline to standard 6PM GMT.

Alcaraz just won first set,

the game just ended and Alcaraz lost with 1-2
These are the kind of results that tell your gambling is no child's play...

Alcaraz wins the first set, and bookies go bananas and give Norrie the 8~10 odds or so to get a comeback over the tournaments favorite depending on what time

you pick the winner in the second set of the game.. and the ATP rankings are in his favor so is the head to head in which Norrie has never won a match,

but being a Sunday chose to lose his first game ever against the Brit Tongue, how do you explain this, match fixing maybe, or just a bad day at the office lol Roll Eyes

Freebet winners for this round are:
Division 2 - vd309 (20$)
Division 3 - mv1986 (10$)
Division 1 - Harkorede and cls63 both have 7 points. In the next round whoever gets more will win a 30$ freebet.

How is the free bet point calculated? I and my opponent scored 5:5 equal point for this game round though. Can someone enlighten me.

How's is the tennis game going? It's taking forever  Grin

Cryptofrka already helped out on your question regarding the freebets already so there is no need to repeat it here.

As for everyone waiting for the Tennis game to be over, the game just finished and it's with my pleasure to announce to you that Alcaraz lost the finals to world no. 13, Norrie 2-1... So if that's all left to decide your tie, then there you have it...

I'm pretty surprised to have done quite okay ishh for this round because, I literally just put in my picks without any form of research because I had to in a hurry as I expected to busy for the next day and most part of the week with the national elections holding in my country, amongst other troubles and commitments.  As it was obvious I was the first person to submit my predictions according to the answers spreadsheet.

Just looking forward to my next opponent  Cheesy

We have a new round of questions!

You can find the form on the following link.

The deadline is Tuesday, 3PM GMT due to DOTA game.
I have no clue about that and Trofo tells me that it might be rescheduled, in that case he'll let you know and the deadline will be postponed for a bit.

This round's results will be uploaded tomorrow after work, as well as the freebet winners.

Good luck Smiley
