The initial verification isn't really "that" important, this thread only requires the user to type (stake) his Bitcoin Address to be quoted by the next poster as stated in the OP.
What they really need is to know how to Sign a message and which wallets have a user-controlled PrivateKeys.
If not, they must be a total newbie and their staked address will probably be useless when needed, but we can use it "for future reference".
