Imo, people winning in wager races are those that would wager such amounts anyway, with or with a contest. I think for anyone ending up in the top 5,000 positions, the prize is just a nice bonus, that is much lower than what they won/lost along the way. That is my impression. I myself have never won a wagering contest, except on newly opened sites with very small number of participants. And in this particular race, after $38 wagered,

It is never really a smart idea to wager a lot just to receive a prize in wagering contests; in the end you will probably have lost more than the prize you would win. The amount you need to wager on Stake to finish in the top 5000 is just crazy high and I think, the amount of money people are wagering, must be the highest in the industry.

It is not necessarily so. Of course, some high rollers are in profit form their game, I think a bit less than half of them really. But you never know in which party you are going to be in the end, so if you can't afford to lose tens of thousands of USD, I wouldn't recommend trying to win a wagering contest on a large gambling platform with many of high rollers. It's another story if you are high roller anyway, as I said above.

I just read about the lawsuit. That’s a crazy big number. I hope all parties are able to settle the dispute somewhat amicably or at least avoid lengthy and costly litigation. Nobody likes being sued but I’m sure Stake will be able to handle it and lawsuits between ex-partners are fairly common.
Crypto Casino Stake.com Sued For $400 Million By Former Partner. Based on the article it looks like the former partner on primedice doesn't have any relation with stake. This is mentioned as the attempt to spread false information against Stake.

That actually is the content of his lawsuit because he is charging Stake founder a punitive damage for leaving him high and dry for Stake investment. The 3 of them founded Primedice while he is the only left behind when the 2 co-founder founded the Stake which is impossible for him to not know that.

I’m sure there’s an agreement behind that these 3 gents agreed and now Freeman wants to get money out of the Stake success. I believe his case has a chance if he can prove that the 2 cofounder mislead him to not investing on Stake to leave him alone.

Race or wagering contest is a contest for those who have huge bankroll, gamblers like us who have limited bankroll should not force ourselves to compete for the race obviously.
This is why I do not care about any wagering contest no matter how much is the prizepool and how many winners share the prizepool.
For sure it is not worth for us, but perhaps it can be something worth for those who wager millions/billions dollar because they will get some other rewards aside the prize of the wagering contest.
If it was in another place then it would make sense, but in Stake the winners and the top levels will have millions up on millions of dollars, and not just because they want to win the wagering competition neither, they will have it because they wanted to have it and that's the point. Which is why I believe that we shouldn't really be shocked to see it outside of this period neither.

We are going to see people end up gambling with millions of dollars even without any wagering competition is the key reason why we have such huge amounts during the competition as well. Normally in any other place 300k wagering would be by far the first place, but here it's not even close.

Correct, don't really care on a race.

My self even win on 1,000,000 USD race with the rank 1700+, only give me 30$ from my total wagering 300,000$. The cost waggering and winning is not really wort, what I care only from Weekly, Monthly & Rank up reward.

You got more money on there rather than in the contest.

I'm not talking about the result all of them is profit or not.

What I talking about is, that chasing wagering for the race while we're just regular user is not worth it because if you compare the prize from weekly amount got more from weekly with more than 100$.

So, regular gambling for us rather than chasing wagering on race is better to just do wagering for weekly/monthly.

I don't think anyone doing the wager to get in the top 5k list of the wagering contest. You need to wager around $150k at least to reach there. It will cost you $1.5k+ to make that wager by playing 1% house edge games. The reward amount won't be worth after using the wagering strategies. I believe that most of the user has played normally and made the wager during this contest. People only use the wagering strategies to beat other users when they are too close to the top rank for their normal gambling activity. Now my rank is 1879 with $319k wager in the 5th birthday race of Stake.
Yes, we don't know if many gamblers will bet to enter the top 5k list of betting contests but there will probably still be some people who have done it before and want to do it again. But I agree with you that users have been playing normally and making bets and maybe some of them have no intention of raising their name to the top of the list and just playing as usual.

That "pride" thing never really made that much sense to me. I congratulate myself on not gambling too much and only gambling small enough that it doesn't matter to me. But at the end of the day, these people gamble way too much and they end up at the top of the leaderboard and they are proud of that? How could you proud that you gambled way too much? That's not something to be cheered for, that's something you should seek help about.

I mean I get it, casinos are always pushing and finding ways to make people gamble more and more, and they just say "if it's too much, don't do it" and yet promote it. But, you have to end up stopping yourself.
For us, it may not apply, but we don't know if it also doesn't apply to others because each person has different goals in gambling and entering contests. But we should know how to behave in gambling so we will not get too caught up in gambling. There may be people who take pride in breaking records for themselves and I think there are people like this. We just don't know.

So what's the final result? you make a profit from all the prizes and bonuses of all that you have spent?
I've noted how @Mahdirakib did it this month when he has a target other than race like jumping to a new VIP level
so he can collect several bonuses at once Race, VP bonus, weekly/monthly smart way maybe.

But for people who don't gamble very often, it will cost them a lot of money and they won't be prepared for all the risks. So stay careful in using money to gamble.

Well this is a good calculation assuming the house edge is 1% in fact slot games from third parties apply 3-5% house edge
I'm sure not all gamblers consider it in the race they focus more on rank hunting without realizing the prize is not worth it
Except for those who managed to win something big like MaxWin.

Do other casino have this feature?

I don't think is really big deal even without a draft, and it could be only a few casinos have this draft feature and even everyone make a mistake reloading again. Not every user is gonna face the same situation and I already try the multi-bet is responsive without any a slow respond so don't have a problem at all.

So, even without draft is fine. IMO, every feature needed to be install for the feature we are using the most regularly not just in some situation.

Yes some sportsbook has that feature (not gonna take their name here). Its not like mistakenly reload every time. Most of the time browser just reloads the tabs when it starts taking too much memory. Besides also after a long time of inactivity I think Stake also reloads, not sure though. So there are times when my selection is reset completely and I have to do it again .

I am not sure if others also feels the same but if it's me only then no need to bother. I myself take lot of time to build my multibet for the weekend so it happens to me all the time.

I've been using stake for a long time and I am impressed with the way the site has developed. Just posting to drop my suggestion of implementing drafts in betslip that will allow to save up a user's selection so that he doesn't has to go with all the troubles of selecting all his selection again once the site reloads. Hope that's not a big thing that I am asking.

Stake is definitely making loads of money on this $5,000,000 Birthday race, because the wagering cost to the player are significantly higher than usual. The DICE/LIMBO wagering strategies are costing almost $15 per $1000 wagered at times..... where it usually averaged between $9 to $10 per $1000 wagered.  Roll Eyes

I am experimenting with other strategies that might give some better ratios, but nothing has shown to be less than the above. Looking at the rankings..... people are wagering millions and I doubt that they will profit from that kind of wagering.  Roll Eyes

How many times do you experience those 15$/1000$ wager. I just don't get how the win rate affected by the current tournament volume of participants. Dice is the most effective game to gather wager with less risk. I think that 15$ is already too much loss just to get the bonus on the current event because I saw some user above posting a wager volume above 300K while still gets only 100$ plus as reward. This is not worth it if the intention is just chasing the promotion reward.

Can I know your setup on dice that result with hat ratio?

Well the DICE configuration is 1.0102 Multiplier / 2.00 Roll Over / 98% Win Chance ...... with 1000 x $1 bets. The LIMBO configuration are similar, with a Target Multiplier of 1.01 and a Win Chance of 98.01980198% and also doing 1000 x $1 bets.  Roll Eyes

I do 1000 bets on each to see if Stake are feeding..... and if my losses are above $15 (which happens more than 60% of the time) .. I just stop wagering.

Do you have a configuration that gives better results?
