...ask you to transfer a certain amount of a particular cryptocurrency in order to avail the giveaway.
It is not a giveaway if you need to pay for it. People have forgotten what a giveaway was in the past. You post your address and receive the free coins. That is it. This is just the same old scam routine that moved from Twitter to YouTube.

One Of The Main Reason I Have Stopped Paticipating In YouTube Giveaway Is This.
Keep Asking For Money Before Receiving Rewards Is Not Of Good Efficiency Therefore Such Project Should Alert You Of Scam And Fraudulent Project.

N/B, Any Project Asking For Little Deposit Of Any crypto Coin Is Hundred Percent Scammers And Fraudsters, Not Only YouTube Giveaway But Also To Airdrops And Bounties.

But Anyways, Thanks For Your Alert And We Can Never Fall  Victim.

Greedy people get scammed by giveaways, ask yourself this, what's free?? Nothing, how can someone plans to give you 5 eth for free? In the end they ask you to make some deposits first, lol I can't believe that people are this soft .... Keep your coins, they re gold, don't try doubling them, it's not real

This is usually a new scam technique We need to verify well before working on any site You have to try to stay away from the deposited sites They don't have everything to hack to make deposits. Therefore it is better to start with a small amount without greed.

You can mass-report such videos and once a strike occurs, such videos will be tagged as flagged and will be removed under specified reasons by YouTube (when carryminati got his video deleted, these shitholes come nowhere near to him). Anyways, yes they have chat enabled and comments disabled because real people will come and comment about how they got scammed which is why they disable it and even in chat, they have their own users posting on their behalf that they earned thousands of dollars and you can do the same. Don't fall for such schemes as you'll eventually end up getting nothing but scammed. You guys must be knowing that these such schemes are also run on telegram, and unfortunately, people are noon enough to fall for these because either nobody is there to explain them about this darkness or that they didn't come under the light where people like us know these things and few of us have said this a thousand times already.

YouTube Live Giveaway Fraud is an old mode used by scammers. Many believe and join this giveaway so that they transfer some BTC and ETH to get a prize many times the amount of BTC and ETH they transfer.

Why are there so many subscribers? that's because the channel they use is someone else's channel with subcriber hundreds of thousands to millions of sub that they hacked or forcibly took over.

Scammers and fraudsters will use a popular platform to scam more people, and it's nothing new. It's just disappointing that a lot of people fall for these scams, and no one is even telling them or advising them to be careful about giveaways. This is not just about being greedy because who wouldn not want to win something right? But newbies are more prone to this kind of scam because they still lack knowledge.

That's why I don't really believe with YouTube giveaways or even other giveaways that easily without checking if it's a legit one or not. But just like what they said, we cannot inform everyone or tell them one by one to be careful about it so it's better to report suspicious giveaways than doing nothing.

I'm not sure if this could be a part of this YouTube scamming videos or some live video streaming event that could be part of something terrible. I have seen a live video where there's a Bitcoin QR code for their receiving purposes. So they have this "promo" where you would deposit BTC, whether it's 0.001, 0.01, 0.1, or 1 bitcoin, and they would double that. For me, this is a scam, but I'm not sure if there are believers to these types of things. I think this could be useful for newbies that are coming to the cryptocurrency space.
Around the end of last year, I accidentally stuck on a double bitcoin website and they made an update to the address notification that received double bitcoin but all of them were fake notifications, I think it will be easier for us to recognize facing scammers on YouTube videos and maybe they control everything double bitcoin scammer.
First of all, you have control over what happens with your Bitcoins. Being "stuck" with the website was your fault. Maybe you have visited a malicious website or something related to that but in essence, don't send BTC to something that is too good to be true e.g. Bitcoin Doublers. That's not going to work. I hope everyone is aware of this type of scams because it's pretty obvious.

For your browser with notifications, I suggest a full reset of everything. Maybe uninstall and remove all the cache or something.

My solution.... create a single thread on this forum where people can post the Youtube link of the scam and then we gangbang the #$%^ out of those links with reports and down votes.
You meant a thread like that one of mine? Scammers on Youtube. Don't fall into this scam trap and lose money, guys

The scammers will soon realize that their attempts to fool people will be targeted by a army of people that would destroy these attempts and they will eventually go away. Also, some videos should also be created to educate people on these types of scams on Youtube.  Wink

Yes, what you have seen that is op explained. And this is the Youtube fake giveaways nowadays. And they have scammed a large amount of bitcoins in past few days. Maybe people are now aware very much but when the scammer tries this way to scam for first time maybe people were not aware much and some greedy people already lost their capitals.

Btw op you said well and you tried to explain the a to z easily about these types of fake youtube giveaways. thank you for you effort to warn newbies.

There are many challenges for cryptocurrency users to keep themselves safe from fraudulent efforts that come from various angles. Somehow we are all always busy with the activities of these criminals who target users who are tempted by the shadow of money.

I have never been tempted by such lure because it is the main key to detecting fraud as early as possible. Ignore it and report it if you get it and start making money from hard work, even if its not much. Whatever is considered dangerous and potentially detrimental to others financially, beginners must know and this thread is one form of OP concern for beginners. Very nice

Interesting catch. Seems this is a new method of scam. I only know of the Twitter method where scammer photoshops a tweet in an image pretending to be a crypto influencer and promising giveaway. If you're smart enough, you will will know when you visit the website link that is included in the because it isn't associated with any influencers.
What I do is report the profile and block.

Even if it looks so real like the real account we should always check that it's the real account to avoid being scammed by scammers. We should always think that when a person or an account ask you to send money then it's a scheme to steal your money without getting what they offer or giveaway they said.

Video channel giveaway will shut down fast if you reporting quickly.
how to report?

1. click dot 3
2. then report
or
a. click button flag

Yeah that is correct the more it is reported the faster it will get removed from YouTube. If you are using the YouTube app the. Just tap on the three dots at the top right hand corner to open the menu list. The top one in the list is Report, you only need to tap on it and select spam/misleading content to report.

This actions of scams are too obvious and cliche. All falls down to fraudulent offers and phishing websites. The lesson here is simple, there is no such thing as easy money. Yes, youtube had been a good platform in any aspect of life such as learning, gaming, and ofcourse entertainments. Yet the only flaw is that many believes easily just because of the viewers count and how well-constructed a scam is. Hence, some giveaways are good, but going to external links is simply fraudulent.

With so many things they need to attend to, sometimes they failed to flag it down. But if there will be consistent users that will report it, I think they will eventually take it down. Most YT giveaways are really scams or has hidden agenda. Now that people are still stuck in their homes, and a lot are infront of their computers, there will be more scammers on the loose.

Nah, the system is pretty much a joke. Imagine a popular artist on YouTube having to fight his case when a nobody stole the rights to his music, and YouTube still "sided" with the latter.

And then we have the demonetization thing. A swear word and your video gets demonetized but scams still run rampant.
