To learn how to stay humble is the best way to live around people where nobody will know your worth, and it helps alot for security purpose . In our society nowadays,  people see those who are holding Bitcoin to be having enough money, they don't care if you having good amount bitcoin. Once they hear bitcoin they see you as rich.

I think Op pointed out to  those who brag about the funds they have in their wallets, letting you know that criminals usually go to banks to rob having in mind that fiat is always available there for them to steal, moreover Some one who knows your location may be a close neighbor who you have talked about your funds with may gang up to steal from you that could be possible because you will be forced to get all the security details and with that all your funds are gone.

In the place I stay crypto is not legalized but people use it a lot. It has gotten to the extent that people who are into it brag a lot and they are seen as the most richest people among there peers. Even with this, government security personnel are after them because they feel they use it to scam people. But there’re quite a lot of people that use it legally and it brought them out of poverty and provide daily needs for them and the family. These all goes to privacy, we shouldn’t boast or showcase our achievements or telling people we’re into crypto. It can be dangerous to our wellbeing in the society especially in a country where it is not legalized and punishable by offense when using it.

Being humble is priceless but people take it for granted. People don’t need to know you’re into cryptocurrency as some people are very dangerous and can bring threat to your life. Exposing yourself to people because of little money you’ve earned is something we should all be cautious about. Everything can be done on a low key, not everyone deserve to know about our achievements. OP already said it all “stay humble and stay safe”.

what is meant by hiding oneself from in-person crypto discussions? in this forum or in the life of the general public?
Because sharing information is a must in this forum. Sharing information with others is a good way to provide education.
But if the information is not needed by the people around you, then just this forum.
most importantly don't give out your security password information, private key etc related to your privacy. it will be safer.

You have to give security by your self. If crypto is restricted in your area then you must know how to utilize it. It is also your responsibility to keep your account and wallet secure and safe. As much as possible try to hide your self from crypto discussion directly and don't share your information with others.

For sure it's very important to keep quiet about your source of income and your level of accumulation of assets to your name. If a bank can be robbed by through those that works in the bank then just imagine just an individual like you.

Everyone have to learn to be secretive to a certain level as security demands.

I'm not sure if holding Bitcoin is considered a threat to our lives and encourages other people to take it from us. As if we think was right, then all rich are subject to that action.

I'm not sure if this is a good idea but this is only its drive to slow adoption and discourages people to invest in Bitcoin. Perhaps, what we did by informing people around us making helping them to realize that Bitcoin is a good investment and what happens to you might it happen to them as well. Maybe to hide how much we hold but not to the point that we have to deny it.

Humility is is sign of gentility,newbies that wants to learn will only pay attention and have the eagerness to learn from the experienced ones that have made couple of mistakes,and have know when and how to invest in coins.Learning from their own mistake is the wisest thing to do,and not waiting till you make those mistakes

Yes op is right , allowing people around you to know you are rich or have some amount of cryptocurrency is very risky.  Cryptocurrency should be private to some certain people around us who we don't trust or can give account of whom they are, a reasonable person won't boast about how much cryptocurrency he/she has to people who are close around,  because doing this the person is already inviting those who can come home with arms to collect what he/she has. It is better to stay private and humble and be safe from bad eyes.

Actually less talk less trouble (shoulf be *mistake). This is true. Saying a lot of stuff regarding your asset is quite dangerous even to your close friends since you dont know whether they are really your friend or have some hidden agenda especially it involves some money matter. True colors are going out when it comes to money and those frienship are ignored and shattered just for it sake( not saying all).

I do really agree with this. Sometimes, crime will not only come to us, but we exactly open the chance to come. We may be actually far away from crime, but because they know that we have money in crypto, they may approach us and do something for us.
We may only post a story on our personal social media with big profits and turns of crypto, behind this, many people may be watching us started from that time. Better to keep it secret and make more profits without telling other people that we have this and that these and those.

Well, its normal for some people to sometimes brag about their achievements especially if that makes them a famous one. However, when it comes to investments since that is associated with money, talking less and living in privacy is what will make us safer than any other way. Otherwise, we will be the target of scammers and robbery because they already know everything about what's supposed to be a secret.

If those people around you starts eyeing on you because you talk too much about your investments and the profits you have gained, then prepare yourself for the worst. Its not that people will always appreciate what you have and what you have been achieving, but most of them are silently killing theirselves with envy. That's when they start planning against you and make yourself another victim of robbery and worst family massacre.

Everything that has high value do not need to be disclosed to others. Not only you will be put into trouble but the rest of your family, including your investments as well. This is the reason why staying low key and living in privacy is what we only need, and bragging around about how far you have gone with your investments is certainly a big NO. Not only in crypto but in all types of investments, its best to keep it to yourself or your family alone.

This is giving you an awareness to know your limits in ,what to ,when to say and who you say to.
Be security conscious, trust no one ,dont be carried away on showing off or boasting of your crypto balance or experience ,role more with crypto minded individuals of your type for networking purpose and developments update,yet do not be carried away caution your speech.

humility is accepting what and who we truly are. the watchword here is being security conscious and prudent in one's dealings.  know the persons you are telling about your investment and profit even if it's for them to invest. even if your lifestyle encourages people to want to enquire about cryptocurrency and bitcoin, know the level of information you give and be security conscious.

Of a truth, its not usually in your best interests to tell anyone about your involvement with cryotos. Staying anonymous is the way. Users of cryptos can stay anonymous but your crypto holdings can't. That's the more reason why, you out to keep more to yourself because, the more they know, especially when they get to know or trace your wallet back to you. Although, that information comes into play only after you disclose it but like we have it on the forum, for those involved in campaigns, there public wallet addresses are always made public and should a user know you in actual or a supposed user gets to find out you own a particular wallet, it becomes an issue. Especially when your one that isn't into much of transferring coins and even that could be traced too.

Another fact is, cryptos comes with some misconceptions. When people hear cryptos, there minds flash back to the established coins and most of all, bitcoin. Now, looking at the worth of Bitcoin as we have it now, when a layperson hears that you own a few coin, they get the impression that, it could be a whole bitcoin or several bitcoin and as such, your some wealthy person in disguise. They don't understand that, bitcoin has got the Sat, mBTC and ųBTC denomination that worths as much as a few cents. They begin to get the impression that, your unwilling to help and that accounts to why you hide your fortune. Now, that breads hate and threats.

Anonymousity is the key to surviving in life generally.

Satoshi Nakamoto was smart for staying anonymous in the crypto space, which up till  today no one knows who he is, because i bet you if only had he reviewed himself, who knows weather he would have been a free man, alive, death or jailed in prison after been fought by government or individual from everywhere around the world.

Nowadays most people already know about crypto and for me, it would be better if I kept it to myself without other people knowing. Apart from avoiding the risk I think this is private and not everyone should know, I'm just trying to manage it as much as possible. the more known crypto is, of course crypto is in the spotlight in various parties and this can be an opportunity for criminals to start their actions. there are many cases where crypto is misused and makes a lot of people suffer big losses. That's a shame because it can make the cryptocurrency world bad. so it is true what is said that stay save and be more careful in action.
