Because of this thread, I listened to Stefan Molyneux for the first time.

He spoke of taxation as the power to harass enemies.

I view Bitcoin as a way to limit government's harassment of people.

Great news... I like Stefan, I just wish he didn't have to delete videos and podcasts all the time, like the bitcoin interview. Hopefully someone is saving stuff before it's deleted because I have not been able to keep up with it.

They both do claim to be libertarians and they both do internet radio shows but they are very different. Alex focuses on physical things that are actually happening in the real world with in 24 hours of his show, its sort of like news. Stefan mostly deals in abstract philosophical arguments that dont pertain to any particular person or event.

There is a distinct difference in that Stefan Molyneux is an anarchist, or anarcho-capitalist to be exact, who advocates abolishing the state completely and to my knowlegde Alex Jones doesn't do this, so he could best be described as a libertarian.

I also think Stefan Molyneux has a good balance between discussions about abstract philosophical ethics and discussions/research that relates this to actual physical things in the real world.

Alex Jones deals with sensationalism and misinformation to get people emotionally invested in events they  can neither verify nor change.

Stefan Molyneux applies philosophy to the areas of life we can control. This makes some people anxious because they'd rather rage at conspiracies than take positive action.

Obvious troll is obvious.
Are they not both libertarian internet talk show hosts?

Thanks for the clarification. However, IMHO all libertarians "mostly deals in abstract philosophical arguments that dont pertain to any particular person or event." I've listed to both. Jones pontificates his philosphy on many occasions. Molyneux articulates his idealism better, but they sound very similar to me. I respect their opinions, but I disagree with both of them on many issues. To me, libertarians are like the neighbor that mows the lawn early Sunday morning.

I'm not trying to make this a flame against libertarians, but Bitcoin seems to attract an awful lot of them. My point was that Alex Jones should take notice and play along.

Hope he didn't loose too much.
I think it was about 200 BTC.

Probably the last thing the dude was thinking.

There is no such thing as bad advertising for Bitcoin. I'm not a fan of Stefan, but I would think his colleague Alex Jones would take note.

Turns out, he was accepting them some time ago, but then stopped (for unknown reason).
Apparently he had a bad hard drive crash and a backup problem that resulted in his old wallet being irretrievably corrupted.
