If my coins that were stolen pop up on eBay or somewhere else. I don't know exactly how I would prove I owned them besides extremely old photos that might be on my photobucket. Which I don't think they are anymore since photobucket changed.

Unless they would accept the PMs between me the buyer and the escrow.

You'd have a police report from when they were stolen. Roll Eyes

Curious if anyone who's had items stolen via the mail, if any of them were sent using registered USPS? There's a never ending supply of thieves working for all mail systems, and esp with covid it gives them such a leg up to do a lot more damage.  If you really care about what you're sending in the U.S., send it registered only ( I'm assuming no one has had these messed with)

Was sent registered item from Canada...got stuck in NY ISC customs postal system for months...then it vanished. So reg is not 100% safe either

Gonna bump this as a reminder for items lost or stolen that are still out there.

Thank you, I know many of these reference/info threads get buried after time.

I added this to the top master list: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/inforeference-master-makeraddresslists-of-lists-2022902

Thanks Cheesy

Unfortunately I'd like to report that a package had been tampered with, and these coins should be considered stolen as of now.

Also I had updated casascius.uberbills.com noting the owner was named "stolen", but to my surprise it had been updated in the last day with the owner of "ts2". If this means anything to anyone in recovering the coins, let me know.

I would like to add 1 x Pumpkin Coin By CryptoImperator.

No Idea what the public key was, sold loaded with 0.01BTC
Missing from mail (marked as delivered by Postal service but never received) 15/11/2018

Reference: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/annwtscrypto-imperator-pumpkin-coin-5064456

Can't you ask CI for the public key? Without it how are we to know its your missing coin if we come across a Pumpkin coin?

Satori coins (x4) and BTCC 1K chip.  99% certain these were stolen.  I had them in my office, had someone in the house, and now they're suddenly gone.  if I find them, I'll update the thread, but I'm almost positive they're gone.

The satoris are numbered:  013133, 019026, 019004, and 019023.  The BTCC chip looks like P(orF)QQ411 starting digits

Reference, these coins in the auction here:  https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ended-satori-chips-and-btcc-1k-chip-5108024

Hey, great idea for a thread.  I'm sadly posting in it.

RavenBit 2014 MS 68.  Stolen in transit by US Postal Service.  Post(wo)man marked package with her Route Number and "Received w/o Contents"

I already paid for it and I'm out how much ever the coin is worth.  The value of the coin remains a mystery to me.

Here is the relevant post link including details, images and serial numbers:

Hello,

I just wanted to update this thread, and say that the 2014 RavenBit MS68 coin has been found.  Someone PMed me and told me it was being auctioned on govdeals.com.  I filed a lost mail report on USPS.com and had the coin back in 2 days.  It took a year for it to show up on GovDeals.com and its a miracle that someone noticed it and let me know it might have been mine.  I am very grateful to this person!

Thank you all and good luck with your items.

Very nice list.  If we get lucky, this might help catch thieves or find stolen items being resold on marketplaces like eBay.

Hi, 2 summers ago I funded this smoothie BTC dime - After it arrived, the restricted shipment usa box was empty but the paper seals were all intact - ZERO evidence of tampering. My only witness, sadly was my 10  year old step son who wanted to see his first "Hawaiian Bitcoin". Cheesy

Anyhow.. The package was empty.  Huh - Smoothie claimed he could not find it and had never had that happen before ever, so I felt quite bad about it, however, he resent me a new one to replace it. Anyhow. Unless it's under smoothies' fridge or something , here is the public address. I have no idea what the number on the coin was though?

Edit - here is the right one, sorry, the last was the replacement coin, my bad lol:

https://blockchain.info/address/1BFBrr4EpJrumLz1JCmChfZCiC96TjByjx

Good thread, will keep things safer, thanks!   Cheesy
