You all (the majority) just want people to stop calling out the profiteers scammy shenanigans.
So you can keep making a bit off money off them.

Learn how to trade noob morons.
Learn how to make money off of legit coins.

Technically this topic is a scam.  Cheesy
You are trying to smooth over garbage that should be called out as scammy.
That in of itself is "scammy".

And yeah "proof" is there but you all CHOOSE to ignore it.. for profits.

Hell i doubt most of you can even comprehend basic grade 5 English let alone an explanation of how a digital economy cryptography computer programming system is "rigged" in an unfair way via code or ideology.

It simply roars over your kidiot investard brat heads like a jumbo jet giving you a haircut.

Lets put a couple things into perspective..

1) You are children.

2) This is unregulated and unaccountable.

3) There is far too many coins to claim they are legit.

4) TONS have been proven to be a scam.

5) Idiots defend scams when they are bag holding scam coins.

6) Puppet accounts are used heavily to manipulate "investors"

7) There is over 1 million accounts created here and 6k logged in each day.

8) Most of you here talking are NOOBS who just got here.

9) Most of you have no interest in currencies but instead ICO schemes for profits.

10) Most of you are guilty of TAX fraud.

11) None of you lift a finger to get a coin adopted.

12) 99% of you are not supporters but useless profiteers.

13) Coins are created by anonymous children and scammers who make tons of them.

14) None of you defend any ideology.. you simply hand over your ID to exchangers.

15) None of you know what a pyramid scheme is or Ponzi scheme is.

16) None of you know fuck all about computer programming yet chant Innovation constantly.

17) Most of the NOOBS here can't string together two sentences yet hand out advice on day 1..

18) Crypto is nothing but greedy, selfish, short sighted, worthless children's tokens + rabble.

19) None of you have the faintest clue what a sound and proper and legit investment is.

20) None of you know what a currency is.

almost every coin has some quote "SCAM" on this forum.
Offcourse there are some scams.. But post your proof first!

I voted "yes".. Not sure what the poll will do even if it is going "yes" way.

Just on note, something like SEQ coin to me looks like a total scam, while i don't have proof my logic mind see's then following:

http://silknetwork.wordpress.com  doesn’t exist & there Bitcointalk thread is locked.

The point i'm trying to make is, it should be ok to call a coin a scam for as long as there is information to back up the claim that allows people to discuss it further rather then a baseless post with just the word "scam".

The problem is that people dont know when to use the word scam and when to use the word shitcoin, but I am here to help you guys.
Shitcoin: Its an altcoin that has no project and no future. If you invest there you probably will loose your money. For example, we buy some tokens of an ico, the project goes well, the staff complete it but you loose money.
Scam: Someone stole your money. For example you buy some tokens of a random ICO that promise big things, the staff disappears, the project dont gets developed.

Indeed it would be better to support scam accusations with some facts and proofs. I've seen many such accusations around here when some retards who didn't read things were screaming about scam, however clearly they were at fault (by not claiming their coins or not claiming in time, by sending their stuff to wrong address, and so on).

I think that part of the problem is that people use the work scam for projects which are dumb or have no chance of success. In these cases it's actually better to use derogatory expressions like Shitcoin than say that it's a scam, impugning the motives of the founders.
Wrong naming of things is not something that bothers me, i used to it. More that scares me is fact what is really going on, and why we can't expect others to adopt coins in their businesses..Next thing are regulations, and maybe this is the best for all, we are failed if we can say 99% are shitcoins..

There are many coins in this were developed so we need to be careful which coin we like to invest. The coin that has top 100 of coinmarketcap so you need to choose coin found only there.

Like what LEO COIN?  Cheesy

I'm waitin'.. Wondering when someone is going to say something right around here for once.

I had created a topic before trying to urge you all to try and define it and come to a consensus on the words meaning.

I got 0 replies.. and that was not my first attempt either.

Lets play a game ok..
But i will move the goal posts around LOL
Sound fair ?

You guys (some of you) are complaining that the word "scam" is used too much.
Of course you are.. because it gets said about the coins you are trying to profit from.
Don't bullshit me and try and make it seem like the word posted just agitates you.
What you are worried about is your ROI's !

Not %99 of the coins but all of the coins including bitcoin have been accused of being scam but there is proof provided only for %1.

LOL 1%. More like 1% of coins deserve not to be called a scam then 99%!

Problem is that one are way bigger scams then the others. It is different if some developers take 10% of tokens they issue in their ICO (such fair ICOS are actually rare, most are bigger scams) as if a coin gets mined in secret for 2 years and is 95% mined when developers tell other people about it ( like bytecoin was).

Calling all with same word is ofcourse unfair.

I don't think most coins are scams! Only some. Masknetwork is a particular nasty one that noone seems to mind about! They not very successful and its my best memory of being burnt. I must remember tonopn an accusation about them. Steem is a good place to see honest opinions about coins. Just be careful who you listen to. If what the person says makes sense they probably right! If it doesnt then its an alter agenda.

Hmm i disagree . Sometime it is too clear it is a scam that we would no need any proof . And i am sorry with all that happening around and all that amount

of money got scammed people have all the right to call every coin/token a scam until proven they are not because simply this coin/token is taking our

money they have to proof they are legit and we have the right to call them scam and if they are really legit they will not get butthurt and they will just

proof they are legit .  So ya i think  in fact there should be a rule every coin/token is scam until proven not Cheesy , just kidding but man almost 90% of coins

token out there is created just to milk money .

It's actually bad to call someone a murderer without proof he/she is. You calling a coin scam in public without proof it is a scam could actually be unlawful. This sentiment almost stopped me from participating in cryptocurrency trading.

There's so many ways to scam people, here we all know best way is through ICO , ITO .. I won't talk about premined coins, istamined or cooperations with whales and inside tradings.. I had chance to see another kind of story:

Not so far ago CRDS scam showed me how things can be done more eficiently. Their wallet was also CPU miner and coin never appeared on exchanges. All trades are done between miners and investrors. One of developer sold his premine in silente mode to anonimus investors who tough they are buying from miners..
Premine was reserved for never paid campaigns, and for further developing, which was ended wthout any work.

Who is quilty? Greed of ivestors or scamers? Miners stayed without payments, coin is invalid, broken chain and will be abandoned, many investors don't talk about this because if there  chanse shows up they will hype this one just top sell it..It is Loop.
I didnt saw anybody reported this as a scam.
How then we can call this? It is not a scam at least nobody call it this way, but there is some elements..We can't call it project, it is born dead. Stupidity?

Learn how to trade noob morons.
Learn how to make money off of legit coins.

This x1000, you could have made millions, and still can, just by doing your research and investing in coins that are building towards an actual use case and don't have centralized distributions.  But no, people would rather buy scams and hope that The Greater Fool Theory makes them money.

proof? anonymous devs, anonymous investors, anonymous transactions, no regulation, no accountability, ... i'm not against any of that but

proof in the true sense would be almost impossible.

corroborating or highly suggestive events that demonstrate wide open opportunity for gross manipulation is enough, the onus is on them to appear clean at least and minimise their opportunity for unfair manipulation

if they gear things to make it easy for them to manipulate then it is wide open for scamming and is a highly probable scam else why gear it that way

This a goos one. But I see the word SCAM also if the price goes lower.

I agree that people shouldn't use the word scam without giving a somewhat decent explanation for it, but I certainly wouldn't go as far to implement a rule for it.
What do you mean by proof btw? I think it should be enough if they just give an reason why they think it's a scam.
The reason is a hard thing to detect. I mean, how can we say whether the reason is sufficient for a coin to be called a scam? It is easier to tell with casinos, where certain facts may show that something is wrong. As for coins, I think any coin can hardly be called a scam. I mean, the coin has its code and it does work in some way. Perhaps a coin may be called a scam only in case someone holds around 70% and so can dump everybody. But then again, fiat is fully centralized and controlled but nobody says it's a scam.

No doubt "scam" is one of the most used words over this forum, people use it to attack projects they don't agree with, it does not mean anything for me, someday Ethereum, Lisk, Stratis, ....... were "scams", but when the price moved up, they turned into legit coins.  Smiley

You do have a point but you cant stop people of saying scam into a particular thing or coin if they saw somethings wrong on that coin. Sad to say that all of us do really have that kind of trait which if we can feels not right we do eventually call it scam or on other way you do say scam when other people said so and you do go with the flow. Posting proofs should really be required because this kind of false information would really affect a certain thing.
