This is not new advice, mate, old wine in a new bottle. The situation is different now, this is not the perfect time to buy and hold! Today I sold out my bitcoin, right now I don't need Bitcoin, I need cash money, safety and medicine! If you have extra money then buy Bitcoin and hold otherwise don't buy now, the price will go lower! Bitcoin can go to 2200$ too. So, be careful with your investment!

The crypto markets will rise again after several months says who? Your crystal ball?

The halving is in under 2 months, miners won’t be selling much due to the low prices, the supply of coins is cut in half so it’s very likely that the price will rise fairly significantly before the end of the year.

The OP doesn’t need a crystal ball to predict a rise in bitcoin once this COVID-19 rubbish is over.
I think he is right.I mean i agree that there is no factual proof of miners and everything but lets be positive on this.
Quote
How'd you say so? Unless you actually have proof from miners themselves whereas they said that they won't be selling. Not saying that that's impossible, but unless you know for sure, we're just merely speculating(which brings us back in the 'predicting' zone). Also, a halving doesn't automatically mean we're going to have a price rise especially in the short-term(and possibly mid term).
Thats why LFC_Bitcoin has mentioned that we might get up move in last quater of this year.We all know this dumping in bitcoin market is due to poor performance in fiat market and that is because of covid-19.Streets are vacant, shops are closed and business are at rest but i disagree to the fact that this would be continued till the end of this year.I think sooner will be businesses up and running and this will cause infusion of liquidity which will help every market to get stabilized.
Soo my view is to be stay positive and try to invest and buy as many as possible depending on your holding capacity people will get healthy return for there investment.

The price increase of bitcoin is still unsure,

I don't say that I don't believe in bitcoin but in the current situation we have in the whole world to be exact, it is really a tough one. We don't know until when this COVID-19 will last. Until when will the holders will hold their bitcoins? Until they die?

with the situation that we have so far i dont think people can still act or think properly . what is trendy right now is fomo . so most people basically just fomo left and right fomo mostly for selling their assets and buying important items like food , medicine , etc . so i dont think they can still remember to hold  . but few maybe because there are always people that are willing to wait and sacrifice  . these people can be called true wariors

At this moment, bitcoin and all other crypto currencies had a huge collapse due to the corona virus affect. This COVID-19 had a great impact on the market. But at this moment it is a great opportunity to earn and store your bitcoin because after several months the crypto market will rise again and with the increase of Bitcoin market price, your stored crypto will be increased and you will have a huge amount of profit. Besides that,we all should pray for the current situation of the world and hope it will be over soon.
I do believe you're right, but others are correct in mentioning that nobody knows what the situation's going to be for Bitcoin in a few months. Just recently there was a Bitcasino.io giveaway that has shown how difficult it is to predict the price of Bitcoin. It was possible to change predictions on the 9th of March about the price of Bitcoin on the 13th of March. Well, guess what? Nobody was even close to that superlow price we've seen. The closest prediction was still more than 700 EUR off the real one, not to mention all those other predictions between EUR 7k-9k most participants made:
5723€

The bitcoin price on Friday 13th of March at 12:00 GMT was €4953.42.
Congratulations khaled0111!
I will PM to get to know your Bitcasino.io account username so we could add the prize to your account.

Thank you all for participating. More giveaways and promotions coming to your way pretty soon. Stay tuned Wink

Have a nice weekend!

Cheers,
Karl

So in this situation, it's a very personal and responsible choice whether to sell BTC or not.

I think now is the good time to earn some Bitcoin and hold until the price increases rather than selling at cheap price. However we are not sure that when will it happen, perhaps we will have to hold for a long time.

The crypto markets will rise again after several months says who? Your crystal ball?

No one knows and all the predictions about the rising price of bitcoin or the rising of the crypto market are just a theory that has a low chance that will come true. Even there's is no Covid19 we all aware of the situation of the crypto market which no one can predict on what will be the next movement of it. Because of this Covid19, it devastated the different markets and, we are not sure about after this pandemic the price of every cryptocurrency on the market will start to recover.

I'm aware the big dump on the market in the past few days already effect many holders (most of them is now have big losses) and if we going to defeat the virus that we face right now, is there a chance that the market will lift? or it will remain in that kind of situation. Then, I guess at this point all of us are now storing our cryptocurrency or simply we will hold it until the price recovers and gonna sell it out on the best time.

Buying more bitcoins is one of the options you can do for you to retrieve all your loses, but the question is When will bitcoin will increase its price again?. We all know that volatility of the bitcoin is the hardest thing to manipulate in the market, next to the volume of people using it. It is very risky to hold more and more bitcoin when you have no idea when is the right time to convert it. You need to make an extreme prediction for you to execute your next action or strategies properly.

Like what you've said, if you're in this industry for 5 years then you are used to this kind of events in cryptocurrency. So that every time this thing happens, you can now properly handle this circumstances and you will not think of the possible negative incidents that will affect how you store all your bitcoin.

Many crypto investors especially newbies are scared of this huge market crash but if you have been in this industry for at least 5 years this would be of no surprise to you at all. This time is rather good and cheap to buy more bitcoins and hold till the future when the market starts to rise. This would generate huge profits for those who bought in at this level.

On the one hand, you are right: BTC and other cryptocurrencies are decreasing in value every day. And it looks like a good time to buy or exchange coins.
But on the other hand: priorities are important today and it's time to recall the Maslow Pyramid. Bread, peanut butter, and toilet paper are becoming the main investment during the quarantine.
In such a case there should be specially deferred money. Then it will be a rational investment.

In context, in situations like this, it is very hard to decide what are your priorities and what to do when you see that the Covid-19 around the world is spreading faster than a bullet. I'm pretty sure that this virus contributes or affected why the bitcoin decrease its price to $5000 USD. This only happens when the virus existed, but what can we do? We have other priorities like foods, medical kits, medicine and etc., that can we use to fight the virus. I suggest that be wise and intelligent in spending your money and prioritizing the things you would work on.

It may be long before the price of bitcoin would increase (if actually Covid-19 is behind the dip). Because the rate at which the virus is spreading is just uncontrollable. The more it spreads, the more the price dips (if actually the dip is caused by Covid-19)

Well, is better to store them than to sell them cheap, It is crazy to see how it gets stuck at $5k, and hard to believe how long it holds at $10k.

No one has a magic ball to predict the future, but bitcoin is a moving coin, the price will go up or down. but it will move, that's what we can be sure from now.

The crypto markets will rise again after several months says who? Your crystal ball?

he's probably basing it on bitcoin's market price history where bitcoin's price will rise after a sudden price crash. and I think a lot of people think the same too. but in the end, it's just a speculation and people actually have no idea whether the price will rise or will continue to drop. I too think the same as the OP but I still have my doubts and don't get my hopes up too much.

Guesses backed by air and words are hard to believe, moreso hard to even prove since not a single evidence was presented on the table regarding the rise of bitcoin. Even though we're sure that bitcoin will recover into this bad beat, the greatest question remains to be "when" and "how" since every other market in the world bleeds as of this very moment.

Perhaps this is even a foreshadowing of a recession that was long predicted by experts and analysts alike. Idk, but right now, one can only hope.

It's kind of weird that some things are taken for granted, and that anyone can even set a timeframe for the pandemic to end. All that is going on will have very likely long-lasting effects on the world economy which is almost certainly going into a new recession, in all likelihood a much heavier one than the one that happened 2008.

I think the price of BTC will not return so easily to the previous levels, because regardless of halving we have seen that BTC still follow the price of stocks, gold, oil and similar assets and that it has not proved resilient to such a major global crisis. Accordingly, let everyone think carefully whether BTC has touched the bottom or the drop may be even greater.

The OP doesn’t need a crystal ball to predict a rise in bitcoin once this COVID-19 rubbish is over.

I understand why you call COVID-19 rubbish considering how your government is set up accordingly to that. But I don't think it's wise to let the virus spread uncontrollably in order to infect as many people as possible to gain immunity. That rubbish can kill thousands of people in the UK, not only those older, but also very young people who are 20+ years old which we can see in many examples in Italy&Spain.

I highly doubt we'll recover until the end of the year. This is going to take a very long time and I don't think crypto will be the asset people will focus on. I believe BTC will recover too, but it's most likely going to take a long while until then unfortunately. Smiley

On the other side though, this opens the opportunity for me to accumulate more. I always considered BTC dumps something like going back in time and getting a second chance to accumulate while prices are low. Hopefully things will evolve the same way they used to in the past few years as soon as the crisis is over.

No guaranteed for the future pump but at least he has a positive insight about the market right now and it doesn’t need any crystal ball at all. Store your bitcoin as a safer wallet to make it more worth it and better to keep buying. In time the market will rise again, that’s already proven from the past dumps and yeah stay positive.

Store our bitcoin and Forgot about this for at least couple of months or until november?so we can save our self from stress and frustration and also will not tempt to sell out our precious currency?

This kind of time is very tempting and many fails to sell because of panicking so for me better to just leave crypto price checking and just focus in searching interesting things in this forum and not just looking at the value day by day.

Good advice Mate and this is what most of us need for this situation of market dumping continuously .
