Recently I have received tokens in MEW which I never ask and never participate with them, these tokens are valueless and aren't not listed in any Exchange!!!!!
Tokens such:EDUX ,Dove,and HEALP.
What they are for?

I got more than 50 trash token that not listed on any exchange even it's have 0 volume on decentralized exchanges.
If you feel annoy with them, you can create new wallet and send the ETH and valuable token to the new wallet.

Anyway, they are in your wallet, you have no loss, in case they suddenly become valuable one day?You don’t need to care them. when you see them on the exchange at a certain day, sell them.

just one thing I can suggest for you, hold the token, you can sell it when the token is already released in the market. follow the progress of the project, as they usually inform important info about their project, can be through website, email, social media, telegram group and others. so be patient.

There are always unknown/strange tokens airdropping to our ETH addresses. Just ignore them, there is no harm for the coins to stay in our wallets.

He can't do anything else either, there is no way to get rid of those tokens, unless he wants to spend gas for nothing. Also, you never know, maybe one day some of those tokens will have some value. In a way, this is a curious and cheap way to do marketing, they send tokens to random addresses so that the owners of those addresses look for information about the tokens and thus they know about their projects.

I do not think you need to care about the strange token on your MEW wallet. Because they are worthless coins and are created by scam projects. We do not need to learn about them

I think you need to wait a bit and there will be more information about these tokens. Surely, the developers will come up with something interesting, since this is the first time I see this.

Do not hope this to happen. I have personally received many of these tokens. They are really useless and will remain useless forever.
Yes, INSPr for example  mentioned  their in a publication that they are useless and cannot be exchanges for cash or for INS. I just hope there is a way we can prevent such unsolicited tokens from entering wallets, they usually pass the spam filter. It is annoying having useless stuffs clogging  your walkets
to stop receiving such spam we can't do anything, but we hope that the developer of ethruem network make intervention and stop or minimize these tokens Huh

I think they are just promo tokens and they are useless. Much like when INS distributed some INSPr to all who hold certain amount  of  ETH. It is senseless  really since they are worthless

It's called airdrops, don't get confused because those tokens will most likely won't worth a dime, most of them are just done to make advertisments about pre-existing tokens, and are not even meant to giveaway useful tokens to potential users.

MEW is set up to show by default all the tokens that you have above zero balance- which means that if someone decides to credit you a token- no matter if it's a spam token or if it's a legit airdrop, it will show up in your wallet and you will be able to use  the tokens.
You can change this setting by removing the this auto-checkbox and making only pre-selected tokens to appear in your wallet.

Hold them, if they get listed on exchanges, then you can sell it. No need of tension
In this industry nobody would give you tokens without doing any thing for him.
I'm agree with you. Lots of airdrops and bounty campaign don't sent theirs tokens, when you have participated telegram, facebook, twitter. But somebody send free money, i don't think.

As far as I know there are 2 types of scenarios.

First, probably someone is bored and sends money out to people. Maybe they want people to be happy and make them happy. Will worthless money make anyone happy, though?

Secondly, they send to the addresses in batch for marketing purposes. In fact, this is similar to AirDrop, but on this one they have you research it.

Correct me if wrong.
I'm with the second scenario  Wink
