But the masternode is 250K or now is 10K?
The 250k masternodes are for tumblebit, while the 10k has different purpose. Dev earlier mentioned there is also a 1k masternode
i think that 10k will be for sidechains.

Good news to hear, if Stratis can build the best ICO platform and only accepts STRAT, it means STRAT will be next Ethereum like project. People want to invest in good quality ICO so they need to buy STRAT.
Once developments are completed. Stratis will be the all in one platform. Smart contracts are due in the first quarter of 2018, there is no doubt that Stratis can accomplish and eventually exceed what Ethereum has done. Stratis is the future!

I'm very happy to hear about the 10k nodes. That should be attainable for mid size investors and the whales will want the 250k node still since I assume those will be more profitable.
Is there any sort of expected timeline on when the nodes will come online or do they not do deadlines? (probably smart)

According to the Chris Trew's latest interview with Leon Fu that I included below. It sounds like the masternodes will be ready for mainnet before the end of the year. Not sure about the 10k nodes but it shouldn't be much longer. Stratis is the future!

Yes, that's correct that 10k Stratis nodes have been confirmed. In my last post, I stated that I am not sure when the 10k nodes will be ready for mainnet. It shouldn't be that much after the release of the masternodes, so it could be the end of this year or Q1 of 2018, the latest. We'll just have to wait until the team makes an official announcement with the details.
