If it isn't obvious, remember that stratis also has smart contracts like etheruem and people need strat for that to.

Sorry for noob question but why does anyone need to actually own stratis? What is its role. Will new chains busi eses make use stratis?

Each tumblebit masternode will need to "lock up" 250k STRATIS. And as I heard there will be a minimum of 20 TB of these masternodes. That means at least 5 million Stratis will be 'out-of-the-market'. Tumblers will receive probably 1% from each transaction but that is not a sure thing yet.
There will also be other nodes lower tier nodes for sidechains and other tasks in Stratis projects.
Obviously there will also be ICOs run on Stratis platform once sidechains are released. I'm sure there are many other reasons to hold Stratis,but I just don't have the time and the state of mind to think further.

78,000% increase from ICO price of .007 a piece. Amazing.
Still more to go. Still early. Year or so. Imagine a year from now. Im going to buy this and sell half my stack when we hit $50. It may take 3 months. Could take 3 years. But that is still fine with me. This is still a big winner!

What is all this talk of a new all time high happening this week? Clue me in, what's new that's going to cause the spike in price? I'm a strat HODLER, just haven't been paying super close attention to the day to day stuff lately.
2 reasons and 1 tentative release. Stratis addition to Binance (timing is off as China declared ICO as illegal) and Identity apps that Stratis is raving about. Plus the still unknown when will the Alpha release of Breeze wallet . $15 dream is way too early. Feel the bear mode on BTC.

I agree with kronos123. Stratis has so much more room to grow , much more than many other platforms. Simply because it is much more user friendly and allows more programming languages. I am not sure how far it will go in terms of price but I do see a nice 40% increase in the near term.

@Khilone7 how to get the invite to the app ? would love to be a part of it...staking is getting lonely sometimes
It is a closed alpha. I think only a few trusted persons from stratis slack will get the invitation.
But once breeze wallet with tumblebit alpha is released you are more than welcomed to help out with testing.
