while testing STRAT for compatibility with barterDEX, atomic cross chain swaps, we noticed that it doesnt have the gettxout RPC call.

This is quite important to have to be able to efficiently tell if an outpoint (txid/vout) has been spent or not.

Is there an alternate way to obtain this information for an arbitrary (most likely not ismine in wallet) outpoints? If not, gettxout support wont require a hardfork to support as it is just an information call about the existing blockchain and the internal datastructures already have all the info needed to return gettxout.

I would definitely like to add STRAT to barterDEX.

For business related technical issues and / or questions, you should contact Stratis Dev team directly via:

good thing that stratis is finally rising in price again with bitcoin returning to a higher price, the btc dump really hurt the price before.
i really like this coin and hope that it'll get bigger than ethereum

Oh, it will Smiley

If we compare the benefits of Stratis against Ethereum, the picture comes out pretty clear.

Ethereum is stiff and monolithic, built - well basically - for one primary purpose:
Ethereum is a smart contract platform, which have been used for ICO's - and quite often with disastrous consequences.
Ethereum uses obscure coding language, which hardly anyone has ever heard, so that doesn't make things any easier.

Stratis is hugely more versatile. It's a whole BaaS solution, with flexibility to adapt all kind of business needs.

If Ethereum is a hammer, then Stratis is a whole workshop.

Poloniex ask side is 380 bitcoins.  Thats all the way down to 0.0012 where the fake buy wall resides.

Poloniex is the biggest exchange in...you know where?
That's right - In the USA.

Do you know what time it is in USA?
Right. Indeed, it's night. (4:00am in LA and 7:00am in NY)

And still at the very moment STRAT is the 4th most traded crypto in their list.

That's the statistic what actually matters.

Dude, it doesnt matter if poloniex is usa based or not, as it does not accept fiat and only trades in bitcoi, people from all over the world trade there. Unless you show me statistics that volume in poloniex is significantly higher during the day time in USA. Also, market manipulation when you buy and sell in your own walls, that generates the volume. What it matters, that the actual order book is week.

BiteMyShinyMetalAss, I've seen you before posting in this thread, writing about how you felt "buying STRAT was a big mistake that you made". That alone tells me how uneducated you are when it comes to Stratis as an investment, let alone for the platform/tech it's providing.

How do you figure STRAT has been one of the best performers before and after BIP91 was locked in? We've had $436,000,000 go into STRAT in the last 11 days. We have been one of the best performers post BIP91. On the charts, we're looking f*cking amazing from a technical standpoint and from a fundamental standpoint we look like an undiscovered bloody gold mine. Stop the unnecessary FUD, you look stupid.
