This is a very good idea. There are lots of post (e.g. on r/ethtrader) questioning the smart contract side of Stratis. It is always hard to give proper answers about them, because information was hard to find. For example, just from a smart contracting perspective, how does the capabilities differ between Stratis and Ethereum? What kinds of applications can the sidechains run? etc. A whitepaper should clear up most of these questions, including the consensus mechanism and how STRAT holders will benefit from the adoption of sidechains. Seems very promising if this is coming soon.

True. 20$ and 30$ are very close.

Stratis is the kind of project that will easily rise to 30$+

We are at the beginning of the roadmap and already hit 10$.

20$ will be very easy in a few days/weeks.

It is really not smart to sell stratis right now.
If you sold stratis at 10$ LOL you will really regret. It's like the people who sold ethereum at 40$ now they really regret it. But that's life some people have to make mistakes to make other people rich. Selling stratis at 10$ if you dont need the money to pay your rent or food is really really not economically rational...

At least wait the end of the year or february 2018. It's just the beginning.

Any advice?

Yeah, go read kronos123's last post 2 or 3 times until it sinks in.
You're taking 1 weeks worth of 'cryptospacetime' and extrapolating from that (and that alone) you're worst fears.

I did read it. Seems like english is not his or her first language. Not mine either. Basically saying hold on to it and wait a year right?

I do not extrapolate. I am asking others about their take on diversification.

Sorry, my bad. I was half responding to all the short term doom / gloom thats around.

Diversification is always good. Wish I could practise it myself.

What I was basically trying to say earlier was if the current price of something you believe in makes you feel anxious now, go and look at a 3 / 6 month graph.

Diversification is never a bad thing. When stratis was $11 I finally cracked and sold some of my stash. 30k into my savings account ( now have 2 years living expenses if I lost my job), 10k into travel fund, 15k gold and silver, then 25k into other crypots ( Trustcoin, HumanIQ, Digibyte, Xaurum).

I pretty much asked myself, if stratis went to 0 tomorrow, how much would I wish I would have sold, and that is how much I sold. Took money off the table, reinvest, diversified, and still have a HUGE amount of stratis left.

Even tho it seems so many people here are petrified that selling 500 of their stratis will crash the market, I think it is a wise idea even at these prices. If you bought into stratis at less than $1 but don't have 6 months or 1 years living expenses in the bank; then might not be a bad idea to cash out. I knew a guy riding HIGH on LTC back when it was 48ish each, he had several thousand, and never sold any, and then rode it all the way down to its lowest and sold at like $3.... Dont be greedy, thats what I always say.

For a bitcoin consultant you seem to have a negative view towards cryptocurrency.  Stratis will not go to 0 tomorrow or ever.  If you really think it will, why not sell all of your holdings?  You may think that you made a wise decision but WHEN Stratis hits $20 or more, you'll be back here crying about why you sold at $11.

I almost did the same. Planned to sell off 50% when it went above $11, but somehow found patience with the thought that in 3-4 months it rose from a penny stock to stable $10.  The team is doing good and so is the community participation. Hopefully things go the same way ahead and we can see Stratis reach its full potential. Really think it can reach Ethereum levels(positive way).

Hey so how many strats do i need to hold in my wallet to stake mine?

Im looking to mine around 4-5 coins a day.

Any info on this is appreciated.

To earn 4-5 coins a day staking you will need anywhere around 100k to 200k Stratis.  It takes about 25k-50k to earn 1 per day, depending on how many people are staking.

I have around 1800 Strat now. I am wondering if I should swing part of it on different coins. Say 1 BTC on Waves, 1 on Lisk and 1 on NXT. Looking at Bitshares as well. The perspective of a decentralized exchange is bound to take off sooner rather than later. The perspective of Stratis picking up steam again makes me hesitate tho.

Would it be fair to assume that in the future, platforms each aiming at different markets will dominate the Crypto landscape.

Any advice?
