The Electrum wallet or the regular wallet?
The Electrum wallet can't stake. The regular wallet just needs to be open and unlocked for staking 24/7 and you're good to go!

Can hardly call the main Dev Nicolas Dorier a whoremonger. Have you even researched his work and seen the progress he has done so far? Just look at the git hub and the upcoming features.

Always a good sign when the FUD starts coming.

Hey guys. Issues with the servers have been resolved. They are back online. I will discuss ways to stop this from happening in the future with the team.

there are some add nodes at the bottom of that.

Electrum wallet doesn't use those nodes. It's using Electrum servers that are broadcasted through irc channel, which the wallet will discover automatically. Right now electrum.stratisplatform.com and electrum2.stratisplatform.com appear to be down. Please get in touch with dev0tion as he's the admin of the electrum service.

I am aware of the problem with the Electrum servers, I do not have access to the account they are running on.
I will sort this out with Chris asap.

I downloaded the electrum-stratis wallet and it just says offline, sent 100 stratis before waiting Sad. Its been an hour with no connections on either the electrum and the updated wallet in the OP.

Any advice?
