I am very surprised that this sport is not getting it's deserved recognition and publicity. This is because the world strongest man sports have been around for decades. Infact it is older than some sports that have gained more reputation. I am sure WSM as a sports or enternment is going  through some challenges that is really hindering it's progress and advancement. Like thenineclub observed it might be because of nepotism and leadership problems. The WSM leadership board need to adopt democratic tenants that would make the system open to new ideas.

In the wake of WSM 2022, some accusations against the head of WSM and Giants Live Colin Bryce were made public by the head of the rival World Ultimate Strongman revealing a conversation with top strongman athlete Luke Stoltman where some offers of nepotism and corruption were put forward. I personally am not surprised because Bryce and WSM are stuck in the last century and are more hurting the sport than helping it transition to a more modern and recognized sport.

It's that time of the year, the world's strongest athletes are days away from testing their skills.

Where: Sacramento, USA.
When: May 24-29, 2022.
Where to watch: Nowhere really, WSM has a business model stuck in the 1980s, so the best way to check results is a spreadsheet on the r/strongman Reddit thread (until videos get released).
