Reason why most of the projects done last year and this year were exchanges is so that the team can earn while they also develop the platform. Cash flows continue while the exchange is running, sadly this doesn't happen in news exchanges because they didn't build trust.

ZRcoin did a good job really that they establish the facility to do business and can run on their own not dependent to the developers of the project but to the business itself. More investors coming after it.

I agree with you, but there are too many success factors of a project. I think that a good team, financial support and a good idea are the most important factors. However, there are many more factors that influence the project.

There's a lot of projects who has a great vision too , but one thing that I really don't like if that if they are relying all funds to their investors and they can't even invest on their own pocket, I really don't like this kind of strategy, so no matter how beautiful the platform is, still I am losing confidence over it.

Of course, I agree that in order for the project to develop, it needs money, but if the project is really good and many professionals are working on it, they can find money anytime

someone has created a thread 'bout this, it can be used for your considering before choosing a project, How to choose a good project to invest
i add one thing to be considered to choose, but thats not internal factor but eksternal factor

+1, market condition, we all know in the 2018 ago. no matter how coin you invest in or you hold

if the market condition is bearish, it would be down too. so, we are better to wait in bullish market

because it can ease the project (even shit project) to be better in price case

Daily many projects are brought into the market with different ideas and background.
But the question is what makes these projects to perform well in the market. No doubt good technical support is too necessary to lead the project towards success, but even with good technical support and marketing many projects can't survive.
So what matters these days is financial backup or financial support. Before entering the market a project (or ICO) should have enough financial support to compete in the market even in worst conditions.

It's my own analysis so far in this altcoin market.
What are your thoughts?

The points mentioned like technical support, good marketing and financial backup are all required for a successful project, but all these will be a waste of time  if the team doesn't have the right strategies and vision to achieve the project aim. Sometimes even with the good team, they can't actually kick-start the project when the funds raised during token sale is not sufficient. Also, proper fund management is a requisite for a successful project. If team members mismanage funds generated during token sale, the project is obviously going to fail. For instance, a project which spends ambiguous amount on paying influencers to create hype around the project, allocating more funds to marketing than actual project development is likely to fail in the long run.

I also think like you. This seems to be a phenomenon in the crypto world, where many projects that achieve sales with large numbers. But their tokens do not seem to have the strength or less valuable in the market as they promised during the sale. This sometimes raises questions in my mind. Are the developers less serious about managing their coins in the market?
Obviously now the developer just wants ICO to finish quickly and can raise capital. no longer trying to develop the project, but looking for profit for a moment.
even many developers are naughty with the use of tokens so that what happens token can not develop and even worthless anymore. a lot of cheating has been done for this.

I think that what makes a project successful depends on the concept of the project being developed, if you have a project that can provide many solutions and provide convenience for many people it is certain that the project can be successful and usually the team can also be the key to the success of a project.

yes, the ICO project is a project with financial support from investors. but financial management for the project is also needed in building its success. Strong financial support does not guarantee the success of a crypto project, without managing proper finance. because, too many successful projects using private funds / without ICO. then making rapid growth on the project can make the project last longer. found many great partners. so that the ICO project can be trusted for the future.

When a project enters the market, it already has the minimum amount of money to function and if it lacks them, then this indicates that the team is not able to spend money properly.

Of course, a strong strategy for evaluating every worst possibility. In short, we call it plan B. If the market capacity is low, then the price will be difficult to increase, the solution is to make a strong product with a real function, so investors trust and believe in supporting the project, automatically this will form a strong community. If the market capacity is strong, there will be no drama of blaming each other when the price is dumping, especially if only because of the bounty hunter, a strong project should have the right strategy to overcome this, right?

The thing that kills most projects is developers cashing out too quickly. If developers don't have enough faith to hold the coins, why should anyone else hold them (or buy them)?

If you look at the coins that have lasted - bitcoin, litecoin, ethereum, the lead developers didn't cash out till the five year mark. I think the Litecoin founder cashed out in 2017, which was about five years after the project launched. Cashing out within a year kills the project.

More financial reserves will indeed make the project last longer. but Sales of tokens must also be in accordance with the target and roadmap. Marketing is very important and must be considered. If there are large financial reserves, but the sale of tokens is not successful enough, then the project will not last. Marketing and sales strategies become the main thing, as IEO is done on a large exchange that promises greater project success.

Many projects today do not match what you say, that technical and marketing support is certainly a top priority for ico to succeed. so many investors are interested in investing their money in capital. but right now there are many projects that only make capital and do not intend to develop, only looking for profits as soon as possible. don't want to know the continuation of the project after ico has passed.

If you have a good +1 platform,
And you must have financial support because you need it for listing your coin in exchanges. And of course you choose a stable exchange so that the coin has a better exposure. Similar to Binance, Houbi, Kucoin, Bittrex and many more.

Yes there are several factors that make project successful in the market like you have mentioned financial support, good technical team behind the project who solve issues instantly and improve customer base, good marketing strategy which will attract more investors and more important the project must have a objective to complete or say good product or service to be offered in market. The market conditions must be in favour of the company to run it in the market otherwise they will suffer loss.

First for the success of a crypto requires very large capital, then for the product must really be used by many people, introducing the best coins do not make ICO, see stellar strategy in 2014 they only share free coins to the participants, then the team buys again, this is what makes investors interested in the team.

many new companies develop their own crypto currencies but sometimes don't have a good development, and maybe developers have to revolutionize other concepts or ideas that are different from every project on the market. Usually projects with unique concepts can attract market investment. but all of that goes back to the project developer because the key is only in the project developer.

the success factor of the project depends on the performance of the team or developer and also the marketing of the products they offer in the market. but as you have said it is also true that many products do not function properly and vice versa. I think the reputation of ICO has now been destroyed and many investors have avoided the ICO project.
maybe what you said is true about the success of a project that can bring benefits to its investors, but now it is very difficult to get a project like that. Many of the projects that I participated in turned out to be the result that was not what I expected and investors hoped that one day in the future many projects could reliable in investing, of course
