You've prolly seen em but watching the ~12 movies in the Avenger's series are epic. They string together and kind of play on each of other. So, there's alot of the plot you forget each year between the 2 movies they release and the 3 years it takes between each Avenger mash up. Cheers!
I watched Shot Caller recently. Horrible name for a movie, but it was really pretty decent!

Inception is great. Watched it like 5 times and still provokes thoughts.
Your Name by Makoto Shinkai.. I dont watch a lot of Japanese Animation movies but this one is something else. Whether you watch anime's or not, you should see this. Ultimate feel good movie. After this, you can go for the Ultimate feel bad (but great though) movies such as requiem for a dream or a serbian film. 
A clockwork orange.
Dr. Strangelove its an old black and white movie but it really stands up. Can't recommend it enough. There is no fighting in the war room!

birth and death, titanic, dark sea. these all are good movies.

if your into romance, i suggest you watch the notebook, dear john, the vow, a walk to remember those are classics. I would also suggest year one, were the millers if, horrible bosses if you like funny stuffs

These are all very memorable movies, different. They all also take place in a one single room basically for the whole movie. Recommended!

Only one word, I will say. The Godfather series. The best of ever ever! Very classical.
