What I experienced from that judgment supreme court announced, is a big shame to our nation Nigeria because it really open the eyes of people to see heavy corruption that is around our judiciary sectors that is giving a bad record to our country. Many people hope that PDP candidate will be the one to be declare winner in the court room after some fake result they discovered from the APC candidate but what we heard on the 23rd of October made many people that use to speak the truth to keep their mouth shut because, the opportunity to use all those judges to send someone to prison is there for the current government.

You can see how some people celebrated the judges that delivered the judgment base on what they will benefit from their party members but they forget what their family members will go through for that corruption they celebrated.
Since the outcome of the Tribunal ruling which authenticated and reaffirmed the candidacy of President Tinubu that was when I concluded that nothing is going to come out of the Supreme court judgement based on partiality of the so-called tribunal justices with all the glaring evidences shown and tables before them 25% issue of FCT and other various evidences tendered to the panel yet the five tribunal justices unanimously threw away Obi and Atiku petition that they lack merit,  no wonder a retiring Justice Dattijo accused the judicial body of corruption that means the body is absolutely compromised thus there is no hope for the common man

Nigerian judges are always compromised because of the much power bestowed on the president, it is important for us to understand this fact about Nigeria, starting from when I get to have knowledge of about the happenings in Nigeria, things has never gone the right track, ranging from appointment and governance itself.
Just imagine a matter that can be decided by an ordinary person, our so-called learned colleagues will still decide otherwise, the Supreme Court needs autonomy starting from a financing and interference, with this, changes will be noticed in our judiciary, this will continue to happen hence the appointment of this judges are been done by the president through (NJC) may God help my country.
I feel like the only functioning arm of government in Nigeria currently is the Executive arm of the government. The rest which are suppose to be a different and independent body are just there answering the name but still taking orders from the executive body. That’s how bad our country has gone, the democracy is not longer for the people, rather some cartel who feel they are untouchables. With money they can buy their way out of any situation they are in. We are really in trouble if we don’t have any judicial.
Our government use their power to suppress other arms of government to even perform in the field, even with the core evidence provided to the court over the misconduct of the previous election, thank God for the internet we all witnessed the unraveling of the last election. We clearly saw how ballot papers were being destroyed some stolen. The court even with all this evidence still had to overrule the case,  it is a big shame and they have no atom of credibility and dignity in their honor. We hoped  they were going to save us from this dictatorship. Nothing seem right again in the country we are lawless country with constitution.

With all the judgement from the supreme Court it shows that the supreme Court is not the last hope of the common man. It is so shameful that the lawyers we have in Nigeria don't have right to give the real judgement,  it is a pity something like this is happening in country like Nigeria called the Africa giant. I feel so shocked that this lawyers in the supreme Court they prefer to make money from the politicians than to do right things. At this level it makes me feel do difficult to think that Nigeria can change for good, when the court is not a place for justice.

It is no longer news that The Supreme Court of Nigeria has set Monday 23rd October 2023 for the hearing of the presidential Election cases. The question is will the Supreme court uphold justice and can the common man in Nigeria still trust the Judicial system of Nigeria?

The judicial system of Nigeria has experience a lot of Judicial summersaulting where we have one constitution, similar cases but different judgement in different state.

While I still ponder on so many things the Supreme Court Justices that will hear the presidential election appeal Include;

1. Musa Dattijo Mohammed,

2. Uwani Musa Abba Aji,

3. Lawal M Garba,

4. Helen M. Ogunwumiju,

5. I.N. Saulawa,

6. Tijjani Abubakar

7. Emmanuel Agim.

The first Judge will retire on 27th October! will they deliver judgement on monday? and fix a date to give their written judgement?
We wait to See.

For the whole history of elections ehh na this one I see say e tigh Wrapper, me still dey imagine how this whole thing wan end because like this even as I been dey small pikin this kind story them never Yan me before. Make we just dey see sha.

I already knew the judgement was a miscarriage of justice. The Supreme Court justices are all compromised,  so it will be an aberration for you to expect justice in an unjust judicial system, you can see how the petitions we all thrownout for lacking of merits, petitions that ordinarily have substance they use technicalities, to struck out petitions without looking at the nitty gritty of the petition, just look at the way they were just using technicalities and excuses to shut down the petition, that tells you that this is a miscarriage of justice.
It is what it is,  regardless of the outcome of the Supreme Court judgement it was already a settled deal a long time ago because if the result of the election or the main date is a stolen one,  the winners shouldn't have been sworn in on the first place,  this is the limitation that we have in our electoral law and this was something that we have to change this law but then the rolling class will never allow that to happen because that will be a big climb down on the scam scheme.

What do you expect from the judgment of a judge who is appointed by the ruling party and mostly by the president at some point and that is why he must dance to the tone being played by the president.

For sure nothing can remove Tinubu,  from office right now,  since he is sworn in and already has his cabinet members,  anyways we also must know that no politician is clean from all this kind of fraud.

It is a shame that there is no justice in Nigeria anymore as the judiciary has been supporting the evil happening in the country and they are also backing up corruption and corrupt leaders. The supreme is now the lost hope of a common man.

Imagine that FBI and CIA wanted to bring out the evidence to prove that Tinubu is not worthy to be the president of Nigeria, but to my surprise, the supreme court has ganged up with Tinubu to bring forward the judgement day to today because they know that if the evidence that the FBI brings is shown to the public, they will have no power anymore but to remove Tinubu out of power.

This is what they don't want to happen, Supreme court don't want to public to know their corrupt practice and they choose to fix the Judgement day today to make the evidence from FBI and CIA useless. It is the Judiciary that is killing this country and not the leaders. This is because the leaders knows that whatever corrupt practice that is carried out by them, when you want to protest, the leadera will tell you to go to court, because they know that they will bribe the Judges over and win the case.

Poor Nigeria with lawless system.

Expecting much from the judicial system in Nigeria is a total ignorance on the very state of the country and those piloting the judiciary system. The last sitting of the court if appeal met with the judges sleeping during court sessions. Whether it was done intentionally or by manipulation, its purely a shame. Things are really getting out of hand and I'll not be surprised if activities repeat itself or even worse happens.
For justice to prevail in this country, it would take more than just court sessions. Myself have lost confidence in the judiciary a very long time ago. Its a clearly manipulated scheme and not an independent institution that its meant to be.

This line up get as e be oo. From the names na so so Muslim e be like say na im make up the list. I know say if na where country no dey divided along ethnic and religious line, e for no matter but we know say na so this country don be and that is unfortunate.

The judgement of the tribunal really turn the constitution and electoral act up side down. Like if tribunal say INEC no dey mandated to use bvas carry transmit result to irav, so why doll out money for the purpose in the first place.

Well there are so many places wey we expect say supreme court suppose touch hand but if dem turn their eyes away, well as the country go be na everybody go still answer Nigerian las las.
Baba I no get issue of them be Muslim or christians o, all I want nah say when them dey discharge their duties, it should be without bias and sentiment because nah wetin justice suppose be. We know need angel to come perform miracle of eyesight for us because we know for certain say the whole process of the election, mago mago full am and the fact say we still need court to settle the matter go to show say them dey call us blind and stupid.
Our incumbent president know say if we follow how the whole thing go, e no stand any chance but corruption no go let us do the right thing.
Why Peter Obi need to carry the mata go court when e know say Tinubu get them in the palm of him hand nah still wetin I never understand. If I were to suggest, nah for him to die the mata and live with the fact say Tinubu don enter and him go rule for 8yrs.

If you say dem being Muslim no be issue that one mean say you no dey see as things dey go for the country. So you never know say the country dey divided along religious line especially when it comes to who go rule the country.

Supreme court wey you dey want make Dem do justice na how you think say e go possible?

The country constitution no dey organized, e leave many lacuna for lawyers and judges to feast upon. Left dey the constitution, right dey the constitution, so na who judge want make him dey dere him go judge for. Abi why the electoral act give INEC the choice for manual when bvas and irav dey. Why the electoral act no remove anything about manual and allow for only electronic and to reconduct election where electronic no work like that of presidential voting wey INEC use manual.

Na the constitution go organise the country and no justice for the country.

The justice system of Nigeria is a compromised one, we all know the direction this judgement will go. I'm a realist, and I being realistic about  This court case, it obvious that our judicial system needs overhauling, else the judiciary will no longer be the last hope of the common man.  Those money bags, have continued to make mockery of our judiciary and the judges and judicial workers are the enablers.
Where we dey overhaul am go? Even if them overhaul, no be still the same set of corrupt people go enter or you feel say dem go gree the ones wey know the good tin to enter?
See the case of Tinubu results. We no need any body to tell us say nah forged documents him present as the evidence dey clear yet, because of small moni wey don enter their hands, them dey misbehave with the verdict.
You know say Tinubu like dis be their source of income and if him comot, nah automatic sack and if care is not taken, them fit seize their license and stop them from operating any where so dem go gats cover am as much as possible.
You can't be a devil and think to cast out another. E no fit work. Nigeria needs a lot to make not just the judiciary but every arm of the government work and it will start from when the mentality of every human being changes.

The Judiciary has been the hope of the common man to get justice in other countries. In Nigeria is the other way round, as our judiciary in Nigeria  is a lost of hope for the common man, due to the fact that the whole system is corrupt and they turn white to black in favor to the highest bidder of the case.

Justice is far dead in Nigeria because the law only affects the poor, while the rich people and connected people are above the law. This is what is killing Nigeria as a country and messing up the whole economy and political system. I think that everything will be judge in the favor of the president on seat because he is on power and have access to keep them appointments and big bribe because he is in the position to buy the judiciary and put them in his pocket.

The love of money has killed the honesty, truth and uprightness in our leaders which make then to allow the wicked rich people manipulate the poor through the way that they rule and lead the citizens. Imagine how the economy is getting worst everyday by day and nothing can be done about it because the people that are suppose to stand up and oppose the government have been bribed to shut their mouths.

What you should first considers in relating with the affair of the court of Justice is by first considering the numbers of court cases they had managed to judge well ultimate fareness to the numbers if court cases that have been done out of personal interest, as we all know, that at the court if Justice lies many witnesses, experienced individuals and other reputable judges to al witness the fairness of any judge caee made, i also believe for someone to have attained the position of being the chief judge, such individuals must have passed through alot in test of time to have being found approved

If we can't have enough confidence in the supreme Court of Justice, then where else can we go to have the right vindication over a court case, we don't have to think that cases in this regard is only applicable to our own country alone, this is a common and global challenge we can have with any country, anything that has to ro with government and the political power may actually not carry the same weight of Justice as expected except when a centralized authority is not involved, however we cannot force some things to be than allowing nature to fight back against every injustice orchestrated by those in power.

Nigeria judiciary has been compromised as it's bias in judgment as the court of law that is the hope of the common has been jeopardize thereby making it difficult for people to trust the verdict of the judges.

How can the judiciary that is meant to Interpret the law and punish law offenders be so loosed to bribery and corruption, they now prefer to overturn judgment to their own selfish reasons.

While I do not totally agree with your submission that these judges are selfish and corrupt, the way the judicial system is being operated in Nigeria will make the common think the same. I have witnessed several judicial cases at the court especially when it has to do with Election Tribunal and irregularities. And I can say many of those cases came to fruition because the opponents stood firm to their grounds and had solid reasons why they claimed so. That is one thing that I feel this presidential tribunal lacks. Merit of judgment at the court because they have no enough evidences to trace the solidity of the case.

Quote
It is sad to see that the body of government that the citizen entrust their hopes on are now the ones that are aiding lawlessness by not giving a fair verdict to judgment.

If the verdict of the judiciary keeps being questioned by it citizens then I wonder the direction the country is heading to

The judiciary is meant to adjudicate between the two parties between the Complaints and the Defendant. By so doing, the court is supposed to listen to both parties and resolve the dispute between them without the fear of justice and fair hearing. But whenever the court can not provide that balanced judgment, it springs in that lack of trust in the system.

Sometimes, particularly, in the political arena, our cases are judged by the public wrongly due to emotional attachment to such cases and Nigerians are utterly emotional by nature and our politicians always work their ways to bank on those emotions to make their court cases. Some of the cases truly lack merit from the side of the plaintiff but due to that emotional support and public sympathy, they want the court of law to favor them inside.

With this happenstance in the case of Peter Obi I will humble disagree with your opinion and furthermore the case of Lawan. You cannot say they don't have no enough evidences to trace the solidity of cases. Just merely interpreting the law alone or looking out the INEC guidelines which was pass at the National Assembly it takes care of 95% of the cases.

P.O provided a lot of evidence in the sense that there was no much time to compile all his evidence, on what ground did the presidential tribunal judges throw all cases away and refuse to accept statement from expert witness on subpoena. Mind you another judge in another state use those same reasons to disqualify another candidate as in the case of Sen. Abbo.

Also read the way the American George dispersed judicial judgement it was very easy to understand even the lay man could read the judge statement and know how cocclusions were drawn. Go and read the Presidential Election tribunal Judgement fill with Ambiguity and empty technicalities.

Me no dey too reason Nigeria's institutions because of my peace of mind. It is obvious that those who are supposed to protect our laws and constitution are the people breaking them and damaging the our reputation home and abroad. I'm not surprised sha because the CJN is an appointee of the president so he is bound to do his biding.

Until certain things are changed like removing the appointment of CJN, INEC head and IG of police, from the president, nothing will change in Nigeria. "He who pays the piper, dictates the tune"
