24% is not such a big increase except for those who has a huge bag, only them can notice the big difference. To be honest the doge logo on twitter makes it look wired, am pretty sure Elon noticed it, reason why the original bird logo was restored back, or probably was only temporary to stare up reaction from the dogecoin community.
Elon has been the backbone of doge price increase for quite some time now, it will no longer surprises me when some how he managed to send doge to $1 and above.
it could be that Dogecoin is Elon Musk's favorite coin, so sacrificing the Twitter logo to replace the Dogecoin coin logo makes it certain that Elon Musk will try hard to increase the price of Doge again in the future. for elon musk pumping the volume of dogecoin can be very fast to significant, but vice versa too. because perhaps elon musk reigns supreme with large investment volumes
Dogecoin has been Elon Musk's favorite coin right from the onset. It was through Elon Musk that many people in this cryptosphere get to know about Dogecoin and they started investing in it because Elon Musk is backing it up.

In order to generate interest in Dogecoin and raise awareness of it ahead of the bull season, Elon Musk changed the Twitter logo. However, Elon Musk's plans were successful because they attracted a lot of attention from cryptocurrency investors on Twitter, prompting them to purchase Dogecoin in a hurry and causing its price to rise above expectations (0.07 to 0.1) within 24 hours.

Let's expect this kind of thing from Elon Musk to repeat itself at least once a time until next year halving of bitcoin starts.
always be careful, don't make decisions easily because it looks sweet, but we have to think otherwise, something we don't want. this could be a trick to attracting people who are speculating highly about elonk musk's support to dogecoin. a lot of people are still trapped in the high price of doge coin and the bullrun season is still far away to return investors' hopes

Ignorant? Just because nutildah holds a different opinion? Wink

Ignorant because you don't know what you're talking about. You're deciding on behalf of every cryptocurrency user what they are using crypto for, which is a bizarre proposition. Here are some of the coins I've used as currencies when, for whatever reason, Bitcoin wasn't suitable:

 - Dogecoin
 - Monero
 - Ethereum
 - Bitcoin Cash
 - Ripple
 - plus at least half a dozen others over the years

So the simple fact that I've personally used these as currencies negates your claim that they aren't used outside of speculation.

Many altcoins make that claim, but all of them are far from the level of usage that bitcoin has. Apparently, the speed of transactions and their cheapness are not enough to dislodge the main cryptocurrency from the pedestal.

Just because BTC has the highest market cap doesn't mean its the only cryptocurrency used as a currency.

Use altcoins to buy and sell goods? Who needs it?

Anyone who doesn't want to pay BTC's high fees or wait 10 minutes to 2 hours (or even longer) for a tx to confirm.

If it worked that way, we would have seen long ago that altcoins outperform bitcoin in many ways in the amount of value transferred on the blockchain, but for some reason that is not the case. It's the same as hoping that someone will use a little-known blockchain instead of ETH because it's faster and cheaper.

Altcoins are only used for speculation and nothing else, that is their main purpose.

The majority of altcoins (out of the thousands every created) don't serve a purpose outside of speculation but to make an absolute statement like yours is ignorant at best.

Ignorant? Just because nutildah holds a different opinion? Wink

Meme coins have made that goal an absolute. I'm not sure that someone would want to buy meme-coins as a means of payment. The goal there is different, to get the maximum profit in a short period of time. For such tasks investing in meme coins suits best.

Dogecoin isn't just a "meme coin", its the first memecoin with the biggest community. It just happens to have what turned out to be a winning combination of short block times and a consistently inflationary supply. Both of those things help it act better as a currency than Bitcoin.

Omg some time ago Elon Musk again shocked the cryptocurrency community by changing his Twitter home profile and as the owner of Twitter which became the symbol of Doge Coin, now Doge has increased by 24% recorded today at https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/dogecoin there is always this behavior of influential people.
Do you think Elonmusk's movement can make Doge return to the moon?

I'm confused why there are still many people who believe Elon Musk, because I'm sure if he only manipulates Doge prices and it's very risky to make an investment, therefore I personally will definitely not be interested to investing in Doge or coin promoted by influencers, because the risk is very big and I am a person who prefers to avoid risks.
Right, and you know Doge is a meme coin and right now it’s 100% manipulated by Elon Musk, i don’t see it’s increase in the market until elon musk will tweet about it. So definitely it’s investment is high risky i think. Yeah, also i don’t know why people’s are paying so much attention in this coin where a lot of new trendy project in the market such as SUI & ARB.

Now there appeared many new meme-coins, which grabbed attention of crypto investors, but DOGE with its turtle growth rate is not interesting for very few people now.

That's the thing: its not meant to be "interesting" in terms of speculative potential, its meant to be a currency that people use to buy and sell things with. As an investment, its a total crapshoot. Regardless, I wouldn't bet against the world's richest man.

Besides, there actually are lots of interesting, Ordinals-esque developments taking place on Dogecoin right now. However, they do not have any buyers, lol.
I've literally never heard or seen anyone using DOGE to buy or sell things in a real-world trade, even on the internet, you can barely find a service that accepts DOGE as a mode of payment, and if there is, they won't be a lot. People use such tokens or coins only to gain money over their invested capital and they don't like them generally.

Just like how people are crazy fans of Bitcoin and they want to keep it and use and do whatever they can with it not only because it has a huge price value but because it has some value in itself and it's existence while meme coins lack that.

Musk’s movement had a short-term effect. A couple of days later, there was a price correction. If you look at the monthly timeframe (April 4 – May 3), the price of DOGE dropped by 17%. It doesn’t look like a flight to the moon, unfortunately.

How much can you believe in a coin that relies on one guy who is a known troll to support the coin.  Eventually his influence will run out.  The people who buy based on elon will have full bags and the rest will just be looking to buy and dump for profit leaving doge in the dust.  It needs more than "a guy" to move a project.

If asked so.
about course, it is still highly influential, but it must be accompanied by news about Dogecoin progress or the expansion of the Dogecoin ecosystem/use.
However, if Elon buys a large amount of Dogecoin at a low price, then pumps it and sells it at a high price, many people will become victims because he bought Dogecoin at a high price, while Elon enjoys the benefits and can freely leave Dogecoin or return when the price is low.

This was as a results of stirring up people up after buying much volume of Dogecoin, maybe he want's to trapped in more people to keep buying and later he may decides to go dump again after making his profits as usual.
This time I believe altcoin lovers most especially those who love dogecoin would fell victim if there's dump again. If am among those classes of people that puts so much interest on Altcoin then I have to be worried.

It is true that the price of Doge had a pump in price the moment Elon Musk change the Twitter logo to Doge from 0.07-0.1 cents within 24 hours. After that has the price crossed 0.1 cents till then? The price is still fluctuating around 0.08 at the moment.

Now few people pay attention to these, boring to everyone, ways of PR from Ilon Musk. Many have already realized that DOGE is too overbought and bloated, so there is not much profit to be made there. -snip-
Doge is already supported by Elon musk but he also likes to joke, I think Doge for Elon is like a dog from the digital world,
especially a few days ago Doge became the logo on Twitter and I know it's part of April Mops.
It seems you are right, that Doge has become like his, Elon Musk continues to do every surprise to bring Doge to the attention of many investors, even though the shock does not always have a long impact, it creates unexpected surprises.
Unfortunately, Elon Musk is not able to boost Doge. If the market situation is really not good, maybe when the market improves, Elon Musk will make another surprise.

Elon is just using Twitter as if it's an experimental huge platform wherein he can inject any feature that he wants to have. Now, those blue check marks on those accounts that didn't pay for the subscription have been removed.
In most of them. With some of famous people twitter decided to keep the blue tick even when those account owners publicly tweeted that they haven't paid for the check mark and that they would never do so.

Soon, we might see Elon making the blue tick/check mark into an icon of Dogecoin. Well, that's how convenient it is for him to do anything as he wishes since he owns the platform.
Dogecoin and dogecoin foundation accounts already has a blue check mark. I am uncertain if they bought it or not though. It doesn't matter to me. I am not buying it. I wouldn't want to delete my account either so i might wait that Elon sells the twitter again so i can use it.

His rocket just crashed, so meme lovers can expect him to be back to hype and making money with dogecoin soon. I bet so far, Elon Musk doesn't have an easy explanation for the behavior he did with Dogecoin before, maybe now market participants are paying attention to other issues so it doesn't matter. cares a lot about Dogecoin, but for me it will have a repetition with a new trick.
it is a loss for him of course but Elon that has billions of dollars? that is not totally a big loss for him but of course he will act again to bag money
and His milk and butter for that is cryptocurrency market.
as he is still popular and everything he posts seems to be having value.
but I will not fall from his traps again lol.
Elon Musk has a huge amount of supporters which is enough to manipulate the market trend and make Doge pump like before. Though some people had already opened their minds and avoided his trap, you couldn't still think that no one will fall into his words/actions because there are a lot of innocent investors who are stilling believing him. And what we have witnessed in the past few days is still showing his influence and he uses the twitter platform to play tricks and win.
Perhaps, but the way I look at it, those supporters really know what they are doing, so they just ride on the popularity and influence of Elon Musk. And when the price is going to spike then they will simply get out and take the profits and rinse and repeat. The one that is going to be trapped here is those newbies who thought that it's ok when join the hype when the price is on top. It's going to be a hard and expensive lessons for them. But hopefully they will learn a thing or to on why Musk should not be trusted specially on how he manipulated Doge to his advantage.
