It's great to see the popularity of crypto is rising, but a bit sad to see that not many people owning crypto, and I believe most of the people want crypto because of the price that keep on rising, but I still happened to see the data, with increasing popularity there will be more developments for crypto in the future
Indeed, almost everyone that possess crypto keep it because of price rising. In other words, for them crypto is an asset and not currency. Which is sad indeed, but that will continue as such until crypto becomes as usable as fiat currencies. But that I don't expect to happen soon.  Also with increase of crypto users, everythiny becomes better.

What's going on in Belgium for awareness to be so low? And what's going on in Turkey for such a ludicrously high percentage of owners? I wonder if the samples per country were of the same amount of people and the same method and demographic.

The differences in some cases may very well be related to the economical situation in certain countries. Turkey has been dealing with a depreciating currency for quite a while now, and it seems to get worse with every month that goes by. It might have triggered people to research what the alternatives are to park their capital in and avoid further loss of purchasing power. In the last 12 months the Lira lost like 28% in value against the Euro, which is horrible for anyone that works hard for his money. It might also be something else adding fuel to the fire, but this is the most plausible from what is publicly known.

It's a survey conducted by ING Bank and the respondents are from Europe, The U.S.A, and Austalia (15 countries in total ~15,000 respondents)
The results are not bad for the reputation of cryptocurrency. I mean, look, in Europe, 66% have heard of the technology, 25% indicated they expect to own cryptocurrency, 35% in Europe agree Bitcoin is the future of spending online.
To me, cryptocurrency is more mainstream than what we can think and hear. Sure, it's not yet in each house but it isn't bad as of now

This are all European countries that was surveyed. So I guess Europe has a vast knowledge and experience in cryptocurrency. I also hope to see some surveys done outside Europe, like Asia and other part of the globe.

This is really good and shows how many people are interested in. Bitcoin in this our current world. The last question on where to get information if one ever gets interested in it, I think heading to a specialist website is the best.

No better place than to get online and read different opinions from different groups of people and also get to know what they think about it, that would be really much helpful than other options that were given. Eehm… As for the how many people that owns bitcoin🤔Mehn… they are not much, but anyway Bitcoin is mainly for investment and nothing else.

I think that people who know about the crypto currency are much more than what statistics show. In social networks, ICO advertising is actively promoted and people are increasingly interested in passive income.

That's a great survey. According to the survey most of European are known about cryptocurrency. But other country people are also heard about it. If they find proper facilities they will surely invest in it. And that will make cryptocurrency successful in future which will be pleasant for all of us.

data and surveys are fairly complete, and quite accurate although the source of data retrieval has not yet been described in detail and age, but I think the data here is sufficient to include and complement secondary data for a future economic analysis, additional my opinion about cypto in the future is one of the alternative economic practices and can be one of the future investment alternatives, I hope there is an avenue for future economic progress may be useful and successful for all of us

i think this will help us in gaining trust rating and therefore adding popularity of bitcoin but i guessed the correspondents are already rich countries, business minded and economically stable countries, i think they are less interested in cryptos because they have other sources of income, maybe the best way is to include 3rd world countries to really be fairly represent globally.

This is a great research and very well presented and it all shows that the adoption of Bitcoin and crypto currency in general is on the increase on a daily basis. Although it's value since the beginning of the year has been on the decline but that doesn't deter people from not investing their money in crypto currency.

Every people managed to know about cryptocurrency even when they are young like in college or highschool days but not everyone can manage to invest because they did not have money money or they are just not interested.

Social media, especially twitter and facebook were a major influence in the spread of cryptocurrencies to the general public. It's quite an awesome news that Facebook has lifted its ban on cryptocurrencies. Without scam ICOs we would have been years ahead of our current status in terms of popularity.

this data shows that many people have heard about cryptocurrency which is normal bcoz many time news sites published it . also it shows that only 5-10% people own crypto as of now and many of new people want to invest in crypto . for this they are preferring specialist website as per data , it means we need to educate people more about cryptocurrency to convince them . they also seeking for right entry point of bitcoin .
entire data is favorable for crypto market only need is to spread more words about it , we should discuss it with other people so that they know why it is the future .

This shows a positive attitude of our public towards this revolutionary technology and future money system.

Interesting statistic. It's hard not to have heard about it since it was all over the news. The question is how many of those people are going to think about cryptocurrencies say in one year.

Totally not surprised about the low number of people owning any crypto. In most cases people have only invested in crypto with a few hundred bucks, likely just to test and play around.
What really is surprising are people who have not owned crypto yet on the survey wanted to seek advice from special websites which typically are spreading FUD and FOMO over time. At the very least, it is better than seeking advice from a bank/financial advisor who are biased sometimes. Nevertheless, it is not surprising that others who expect to own bitcoin in the future wouldn't want to invest in cryptocurrencies, maybe they are expecting to get some hefty sum on free bitcoin earning sites.

It might not be a coincidence we have news headlines of turkey achieving greater than 12% inflation, with turks scoring highest on current and future crypto ownership rates. The sad reality is, many nations including the united states could currently have inflation rates greater than 10%. The way inflation is calculated in many countries has changed over time, in the way that the unemployment rate no longer reflects true unemployment.

I saw poll research last year which claimed 2% of americans had owned or used a crypto currency of some type. From 2% to 8% is decent growth with 21% planning to purchase crypto in the future, indicating further expansion. The high growth and adoption rate might be correlated with greater demand, which possibly should be driving bitcoin's price upwards. Greater mainstream adoption coupled with lower price could indicate there is severe manipulation occurring which is driving down bitcoin's price, artificially.

High percentage demographics intending to purchase crypto in the future could mean that economic prosperity is correlated with higher bitcoin prices as it would allow end users to better follow through on crypto puchasing plans.
