literally the shortest survey i've ever done, OP if you dont mind me asking, what is this survey for?

It's for my research, that I`m doing about bitcoin distribution.

It is a very important research for me because I can get a lot of understanding about bitcoin this way, and in return I can help the bitcoin economy alot, with marketing programs, if I know the nature of the distributions.

Would blockchain.info's analysis chart not help figure that out? You're going to get response bias here.

What analysis chart? Send me link

Yes it would be much better most likely. I personally would not tell someone else my coin holdings..... there is really no good reason someone else needs to know mine.  Unless I'm buying off them and need to know I have it, or something such as that.

I suggest people not to share coin amount's. It's nothing against OP at all.  Just that this info is not good in wrong hands as it would make it easier to target larger holders with "bad things".

I dont know the identity of the responders, I only know the aggregate data.

It's google's privacy policy that handles the responders.

It was apparently not blockchain I was thinking of. Here you go:

How would you define "newbie"? Someone into bitcoin for 1 week, 1 month or less than 1 year? You are conducting a research, you should specify who is your research target.
Well it has wide definitions but basically newcomers, like for example those that have spend less then 2-3 months in bitcoin.
How much bitcoins you currently own, in total.

Perhaps you can add another question to your questionnaire like "how long have you been involved in bitcoin?" or "where did you acquire your bitcoin?". It's difficult to get people to answer questionnaires. When they do, you should set more questions to isolate your target  group.

Yes but it's not that important, I would prefer if newbies would answer it, but it's not necessary since I can filter out the data.

meh, such is crypto Smiley some great gains, followed by some large losses.... gotta love the gamble Wink

Yep. Paycoin was shady from the start just like ETH now.

What I see now is that most people have answered more than 1 BTC which is interesting since I dont expect newbies to buy bitcoin, most of them just hang around faucets.

I would like to see more the faucets earner's response.

In total I have about 0.25 accessible. With about another 0.4 locked in cryptsy and scrypt.cc (some of my 'awesome' investment ideas) although I lost most of my holdings in the xpy scandal

Sorry to hear that, ok I`ll count your response separately.

I already answer the question there. I just wondering why you ask this question to our bitcoin users?
Since im not a newbie,jr.member or member. I answer the question there even i am full-member i just want to answer the question and maybe it can help it to you..

Dont worry it's ok, anybody can asnwer it, it's just that the emphasis is on newbies mostly.

I`m mostly curious about newbies of bitcoin how fast and how much can they earn. But anybody is free to answer it.

I`m doing a very important research now, and I really need your help guys. I need to find out how much bitcoins the average newbie has.

How would you define "newbie"? Someone into bitcoin for 1 week, 1 month or less than 1 year? You are conducting a research, you should specify who is your research target.

Please take 5 seconds of your precious time and fill out this survey:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1wKifOkDhK9FBA1PqBkq-vwJ22HQXLdtyvl6LywpeH5k/viewform?usp=send_form

Need a google id to login, couldn't even see the questionnaire. I know I am not a newbie, just want to see the questions.

Well it has wide definitions but basically newcomers, like for example those that have spend less then 2-3 months in bitcoin.

So the forum ranks are pretty good, since you dont get full member before like 4 months.

This is the survey:

How much bitcoins you have? *
How much bitcoins you currently own, in total.

    Below 0.0001 BTC
    Between 0.0001-0.0005 BTC
    Between 0.0005-0.0010 BTC
    Between 0.0010-0.0050 BTC
    Between 0.0050-0.0100 BTC
    Between 0.0100-0.0200 BTC
    Between 0.0200-0.0400 BTC
    Between 0.0400-0.0600 BTC
    Between 0.0600-0.0800 BTC
    Between 0.0800-0.1000 BTC
    Between 0.1000-0.1500 BTC
    Between 0.1500-0.2500 BTC
    Between 0.2500-0.5000 BTC
    Between 0.5000-0.7500 BTC
    Between 0.7500-1.0000 BTC

well in the bitcoin community there arent a lot of new users that in this forum are nebies or jr members and they usually dont have any bitcoins mostly older users will fill this as i did that too i hope all the information will help you in your work and that your project with bitcoin economy will be successful

Yes that is exactly what I want. We know already that most bitcoins are owned by the top 40%.

I want to discover the other 60%, most of them who have under 1 BTC, that's why i put the survey for values below 1 BTC, and who has over 1 BTC can check only 1 option.

There is a wider distribution amongs people who have less than 1 BTC, and I want to discover how wide it is.
