I suppose today's price of bitcoin should answer that question, as we can see that the price fell below the $8000 it has been dancing around for the past weeks. However, things are not yet settled as we may see a steep decline in the coming days.
well, I think this time bitcoin still have some issues which made the price is under $ 8000. it was a bad thing, but still for now price bitcoin decreased. wait a few months will probably be a good thing.

Issues will not go away and will remain with us throughout bitcoin's journey. We have been hovering around the $8000 mark for the last couple of week but suddenly fell below today. But I don't think that we can dip further below $7000. We have tested it before and we know that it has the ability to bounce back. Also, its not just bitcoin, but the rest of the crypto's and even stock market. So it means that something big has triggered this down turn. To get to that 5 digit mark, we really need to see some news, a big one, the will put the price on track on another all-time-high. G20 regulations will be coming this July, and I'm hoping that this will be the catalyst to the bull run that we wanted to see.

I was hoping we will see 10k$ by may 20 on the basis of consensus and the history of it how BTC reacts after consensus but it has been other way around this time and BTC has been falling since the consensus, now we are wavering around 7800$ support if we break this support we might see BTC testing 7200$ mark before having a decent bounce.

What do ya think. Bitcoin straddled 8000 last night but failed to break down further, now it's made a couple $100 jumps up today. Have we seen <$8000 for the last time? Are we heading back to challenge $10k by the end of the month?

And we are at 7 850 now. 10K? Not this time

I think it is posible , bitcoin can reach the price of $10000 but not this month maybe someday. But now, as we can see the price of bitcoin currency stable in price of $7500 - $8000 even if the price does not rise before the end of this month do not panic instead buy a bitcoin while the price has not risen yet.

I, unfortunately, can't see any correlation between resistance to $8k and getting over $10k soon. It can fluctuate between 7500-9500$ for a very long time. I begin to worry a bit

Price Bitcoin is always moving at any time and even no one can predict the movement of Bitcoin prices. Bitcoin prices are currently heavily influenced by various factors so sometimes there is a news that is not necessarily true but can change the price of Bitcoin drastically, this is called an unexpected thing and everything can happen to Bitcoin.
Everybody is looking to $10k. I also expect that in the next month price will reach to $10k and till the end of this year to $20k. Let’s see what happens. Now people are investing again in bitcoin because the price is under $10k and the investors strongly believe that they will make handsome money from their investment in this year. We should think positive about bitcoin price.

As the thread states, the price has been found stable gaining good resistance to stay above $8000 fluctuating between limited price points. Same could lead the price March towards $10000 which looks to be a big barrier to be crossed. Because, weeks back the price went as close to $9800 and then started to fall. So, the ongoing gradual move will help in price increase.

Why not? Hopefully, bitcoin will recover it's price to $10k maybe next Month, I am also expecting that bitcoin will still increase its price but maybe will not make another ATH's this year because as we can see it is just slowly increasing unlike before.

Well I think so because bitcoin today is not that decreasing and the market looks good today than last week I guess it will be a rise up for bitcoin in the next month and finally reach the $10k prediction for next month and the prediction of experts next year with $20k again Smiley

I do believe that there is always a possibility for bitcoin to increase. Whether we like it or not bitcoin motion is unpredictable as it goes to pump and dump activities in the market even there are good predictions from professional still we don't know the accurate price to happen.

We could potentially see another push at $10k in around 1-2 months time when the markets have consolidated enough, and a bottom is discovered by the market, which afterwards we could see a rally sustaining for a few weeks, again re-testing that $10k level.

Though right now, it's unlikely to happen within May, unless some unexpected positive news coverage pops up around bitcoin.

And even though the $8k level has acted as support to cushion the fall, doesn't mean that it's guaranteed to stay at that level. We know that dips come gradually. I'm much more optimistic about prices in 2019 and potentially Nov-Dec of this year, than right now, because I think we may still be in an overall bearish market for a few months.

Each day I take a look at Coinmarketcap and Bitcoin price is always between 8 and 9k. I am certain that Bitcoin will not be stabilized at that price because it is much more valuable.

Price discovery takes time. Like they say, markets can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent. Markets love to put traders through maximum pain, and make you sell the bottom. Wink

When Bitcoin transcend the 10k line, nothing will stop it again and then we can start talking about the Bitcoin era.

Except a whole boatload of resistance levels in the $11,000-$15,000 area....

There could be a bounce from the $8k level back up to $9k+, but even then, it's hard to see bitcoin break the $10k level by the end of the month.

I'm sort of leaning mid-term bullish, given the structure and the selling absorption (and pending further evidence). But end of month is surely pushing it. That would require something like this:

Nah, probably not yet.

Corrections like this rarely take such a short period of time to consolidate and recover, and I don't think that this one is much different. We're still not seeing a lot of bullish sentiment in the market, and another rally straight after the dip within a week or two doesn't seem likely to me.

There could be a bounce from the $8k level back up to $9k+, but even then, it's hard to see bitcoin break the $10k level by the end of the month.

The recovery is more likely going to come in the latter part of Q3 or Q4, right now, we're still consolidating.

It's been more than 3 months bitcoin prices below $ 10,000 and this certainly makes a lot of users worried, the price looks stable at $ 8000 but I also can not wait to keep waiting.
No one forces you to keep waiting, so if you are done with that, liquidate your holdings and you are free my man. I haven't seen that many well thinking people be worried about the market actually.

The only ones who complain are noobs and get rich quick clowns. If you think logically, there is no other thing to do than to have patience. There is no asset with more growth potential and volatility than what crypto has to offer.

People usually wait an entire year with stocks and bonds to be rewarded with just 2-3%, and people here dare to complain about how slow or boring the current crypto market is. Respect the market you invest in.

Banks and other organizations want to prove that decentralized crypto is unstable, so if they can't crash it this month then they'll probably try to upspike it and do a massive sell-off, like before. This is good for many traders who ride the waves. I generally try to buy-in at a strong level of support, and double my investment every time the price drops by $400 (Martingale). If the prices rise quickly past a large round number then I convert a large fraction to fiat. If the prices rise gradually then I margin-trade. If the prices drop past my networth then I hold. This way, if bitcoin rallies anytime this year then I turn a profit, and if it spikes and crashes then I've cashed-out.
tl;dr - Definitely time for $10k, but it may come this month or in several months. I don't know when the whales will buy-wall or sell-off so I split my crypto and fiat into portions and alot comfort zones for buying and selling that I promise myself to stick to. This minimizes my risks. Never underestimate the power of human greed.
