Exactly , and its nearly the same with the Malware posting Accounts that i reporting the last years.
If they just catch one or two from the 10 or 20 posts they made they have what they want.
I would be not surprised if this are the same guy or guys that posting the Malware shit Fake Anns as they woked up again the last weeks.
So far i can see that 120 posts was made with that google download Link.

The person behind these accounts is not very smart if he expects that someone of high rank will use his "services." There was so much spam on the forum, and you can see from the number of views that no one reacted to their topics. Newbies? I don't think they are interested in newbie accounts.
I reported a decent amount of this garbage yesterday, and I think it is faster to send a report than to create this topic since the moderators clean everything up very quickly.

I looked a bit futher this time, and found their demo: it looks like it's more work than solving the captcha myself. That means it's a great tool for spammers with automated systems, and useless for normal people who really don't like captchas.

Captchas kinda have the same problem as Newbie jail: spammers don't mind jumping through hoops, but as a normal user it's very annoying. I must have seen tens of thousands of captchas by now, and even more "cookie popups" and other annoying "notifications".

A tip for a more effective report is that it is not necessary to report each post individually - just one post and put post history in the description so that moderators can delete everything as quickly as possible and nuke such users.

Well, They are promoting illegitimate services, therefore they are attempting to spread them as much as possible in a short amount of time before being reported and removed. They are aware that the service they are promoting is illegal and do not want to identify it with their real profile.

they are the same people who spammed the forum with their possible malware spam about a month ago. some of them were spamming on gambling boards earlier and reported their post every time I saw a new one, glad they are a nuked now but I'd assume they'd be back again.

I can imagine that if they won't stop then your list eill surely increase since they can create new ones and post the same spam posts. I wanted to check the thread but it was deleted already and it's better that way since you said that it is a suspected malware spam. We can only report those posts and let mods do the rest. I saw them a lot in B&H board locked with the same titles with different usernames. So yeah, reporting them to mods or mitchel with proper bot filter this can be prevented for future posts but of course later on they will do another set of titles to bypass the bot to create a post.

It's great to avoid brute-forcing (i.e no one can brute force my password because they would require millions of attemps = gets very expensive). But creating 1000 accounts? Literally $1. Tongue

It's not the first time these accounts come posting "scripts" to hack a gambling website or bitpay. I've been reporting them for years.

The issue with these threads is that dozens of them pop up in seemingly an instant.
I'm wondering how they bypass the captcha. It's likely they use a human as pointed out earlier or some form of API that solves them as a service. The issue is that it appears as though this spam wave takes longer to defeat than to create. Because a mod would have to manually nuke each profile, whereas whatever method the spammer uses seems faster and the posts stay up for at least a few minutes and get at least a few dozen views before being taken down.

Especially on a sunday like today where many mods are probably resting from their job.
That's why I said some form of newbie jail might be a good idea.
It could at least be a light newbie jail where you get out with a few merits or if you pay a very minor BTC amount.

The spammer had started this like 2 or more weeks ago. What I meant is that moderators were deleting the posts as fast as possible, unlike what happened now that we see the posts spamming the some boards. Even if you want to report most of the posts that time, it would have been deleted before reporting it.

I am also tracking the gambling board where I saw many of the spam posts. It is that user that always create many accounts and using them to spam. I hope moderator will delete the posts soon. I have reported 4 or 5 of the posts recently like an hour ago but I noticed they have not been deleted. The earlier posts were deleted.
