Also they really should open up their affiliate program to all users, as you can see from my signature that is standard for other cryptopoker sites.
I do think affiliates can play a big role. But what we really need is not the type of affiliate who is going to stick a link in their signature on a bitcoin site, but one who will actively recruit players who have never used bitcoin at all. They can hand-hold their players through the process of getting set up with an exchange, setting up an intermediary wallet and backing it up, and the ins and outs of safely moving bitcoins around. This is a tougher sell than the old days of hand-holding people through the process of getting Neteller and connecting it to their bank accounts to deposit on Party Poker circa 2004, so it needs to be more rewarding for the affiliate. More ambitious affiliates can sell bitcoins directly to their players, and take a little commission there. This would be a good way for a winning player to make some money on the side and convert their excess bitcoin to cash without going through an exchange.
You are right, people need that to really make sure they get started & that's exactly what I do when streaming poker on twitch
. It's a great platform because you can literally show them on the screen in real time what to do, post links in the chat, and verbally explain things. There are lots of U.S. viewers who just assumed they can't play in the U.S. since black friday or have heard about people waiting months for withdrawal checks from Carbon. I don't sell them bitcoin though, just suggest that they use Circle.

Micon: Yes you've said from the beginning of swcpoker that you'd understand if people wait until connectivity is fixed, you've had the best possible attitude about everything.
I'm curious to see what the community thinks of the krillrolls being based on lifetime or a rolling time period or some kind of combination of the two. I think you're right that a balance of the two could be optimal. I love the sound of "deeper and more interesting", very exciting!
I don't know why I didn't think of e-mailing you guys about the affiliate program, I'll do that soon. Thinking of doing a nano-stakes pOFC instructional stream this weekend, should get plenty of viewers as people are interested in seeing something other than hold'em or PLO on Twitch.
