I'd rather be having a stable price than one that's going from $8,000 to $12,000 in a matter of days and this current flow isn't so bad at all.

I mean, I'd like to have a price ok $20,000 again, and we will, but slower and steady rise is much better in my opinion, otherwise we'd see a ton of panic sellers at peak price.

At the end of May, we may expect to see that price but what is essential in my opinion is the consolidation part. Having a solid $9000 ground is way better than volatile <12 hours +$10k.

Every solid price above $8,000, nowdays, is better than any volatile price at $10,000. Grin

At least until the end of the month I don't expect some biger price movements. To my opinion the price will continue to move somwhere between 8000$ and 9000$.

Same, i don't expect so much, starting May with $9000 and consolidating over it for a while is required.

At first this last rise looked like it might continue but actualy we all know how Bitcoin easily changes and now it's the period when we should be ready for every kind of scenario. Still hope to see Bitcoin crossing 10000$ in May.

People need to have confidence in the market sometimes before they commit to buy. I think we’ll likely see over $10,000 before the end of June 2018.

That's also how we managed to reach near $20,000 levels. It is purely a confidence boost they need, which to a certain extent is understandable, but there are limits, especially so if they see the market either in good or bad condition -- there is no such a thing as consolidation for them. I think it's safe to say that almost everyone started like that, whether it's here or in traditional markets. For me it's not different. I kept wondering why the price always went up after selling, and down after buying. I lost money a few times because of that, but eventually learned from my rookie mistakes, which is something other people have to figure out as well. It looks like nothing is changing, but that's because of how many total rookies are entering this market. For every 1 noob learning from its mistakes, there are 15-20 new rookies entering the market doing things wrong.

Looks like the price right now is strong than before the exchanges right now is really stable so I think the price will stay around this price then after this month we will see a new price movement and I think the price will hit again back to $9,000 above and fall back again after hitting nearly $10k this coming june. This is just my own speculation, but it could be possible.

After the tax day, many investors enter again in the market that I think its one of the reason why the price increases.

$8k - $9k will probably survive until the end of this month and enter the next month I'm sure bitcoin prices will continue to increase and there is no confusion as it is today. Because I'm sure May's moon will be a good moment for bitcoin to keep on increasing.

That is a very good progress. If we continue this way, April will be the first month of this year to finish with positive BTC's results. More investors are investing hard in Crypto-Currency in general. As World Cup approaches even more I think Bitcoin's price will continue rising. Maybe some little corrections meanwhile, but the currency will show its strength in the end.

For those who bought BTC on the last months, as adviced here by many, now it's a good time to hold and watch your money growing.
I can't deny that number of investors are rising, or at least that new money is pouring into bitcoin market. But I don't see connection between Bitcoins price and World Cup, so please explain that to me. Why would bitcoins price rise and how does World Cup affect bitcoins price?

Thanks for your interest on this point! Since weeks ago I started seeing news about hotels that are going to accept Bitcoin as payment method in Russia, during the World Cup event. Once few services start accepting the digital currency, many other services may want to try this as well, becoming a "hype" in an event involving all the world (not only the nations disputing the event, but also all the others following and watching this).

It's a good opportunity for Bitcoin to increase its popularity in a positive way, consequently increasing its demand and price.
But to make this work, more services must adopt BTC as well inspired by these hotels and an efficient advertisement is needed.

Hopefully. That could signal a good second quarter for this year after a forgettable first three months. Many may have been feeling a tiny tinge of regret when they just babbled when btc was down. That was a good time to get as much btc lol
Many investors agreed about second quarter and said that it will be positive, and I agree with them. Because if we look back, we will see that every year around this period bitcoins price drops, and than rise again after. Some people say that its because of US Tax day, and maybe they are correct. But what is for certain is, that it always rise after this time of year. Same thing happened last year, and I think same is happening now.

For more than a week now bitcoin's value have been swinging around 8k and counting. Indeed a good sign that bitcoin is fighting towards higher value from being down at 6,900 on the first week of april.

Will it be holding on to 8k for the next couple weeks or will it surge amidst of mid year or fall down again.

Hey Bitcoins Analysts whats your opinion..

For those who wants to track the price of bitcoin, this would probably help you. https://www.coindesk.com/price/

It's holding quite a bit in the $8K in the last couple of days then make a break out today, surpassing $8500 which is really a good sign that we might see a continues uptrend up to the up end of this week. I'm also seeing a healthy growth as well. But I don't want to be excited as this point because we don't know if this is the end of the bearish sentiments or not. Let's see how it pans out.

So short term, the price will fluctuate around $8500-$10K, up to the end of the month perhaps.

Long term: I'm seeing the price moving towards $15K-$18K range.

I think the breakout has happened and it is looking to go towards $9000 mark right now.
It is a surprise nowbody saw it happening but alot of people are noticing it because it is a major increase in a short amount of time I believe in the past 96 hours.
From $7300 to $8800 is a massive increase in just four days.

BTC is finding some solid support at $8k.

The major resistance of $8300 at which BTC hung around for a long while was broken, and today we see the price moving from $8.5k to $8.8k with a 6% gain in the past 24h. Seems like a solid rally and should last some longer.

We may test the $9k support by the end of today, and if broken, will probably trigger prices to go up straightaway to around $9.2k before correcting down.

Just beware of fomo buying in these situations, price is indeed increasing fast, but I feel like the resistance is still extremely strong at 5 figures and it'll be hard to crack that during this pump. That may lead to a sizable correction/dump at the end.

The growth after the initial break out from the mid 6k's has been strong and steady. It's been measured and that is promising. It does not come across as many people calling a bottom and FOMOing back in but instead a strong accumulation from strong hands.

It seems to be inching up and has crossed $8,500 now. That is definitely a good sign and there is potential to go higher. Altcoins have rallied much higher and bitcoin's dominance has come down. If that corrects, we should be looking at 5 digits very soon.
Yup, it just crossed 8500$.Reddit is already full of over 9000$ memes lol

Its not swinging but seems like a S-curve adaption. Its going up and down  but with a positive slope.Which is a pretty good and healthy growth.
The value isn't inflating and the chances of being a small bubble is pretty slim too.A constant demand/supply that we all hope to continue.

May the force be with us!

Trying to get accurate assumption is hard, and I always try to be as realistic as possible... someone would call me pessimistic too. I guess I am, because if worst possible option is acceptable than it could only be better right. But lets get back to speculations Smiley .

Honestly I doubt that price of bitcoin will rise greatly by the end of this year. I guess we can expect small rises and falls in months to come. So if bitcoin price reach $15,000 till the end of this year, I guess that would be awesome. But even if it doesn't reach that high, it still made a lot of progress. Also, we should not forget that last year around same date price was around $1300, and now its $8500. In my book that is really good progress. But I guess that expecting price around $11,000 at the end of this year is realistic and possible. But this is not my worst expectations  Wink

The real challenge will start once we're heading closer to the $9000 mark, and there we will find out whether we go up further, or come down again for a short while to fuel up for another attempt a day or two later.

Altcoins naturally jump up much higher than Bitcoin does, which shouldn't be a surprise. Altcoins require far lower buy demand in order to move up big time, while Bitcoin as being the big brother, needs more capital to grow larger.

It's great to see how people have calmed down significantly in the last week. Higher price means average joes gain more confidence, and more average joe confidence will lead them to finally pull the trigger.

The frequently seen larger dumps seem to be over, which helps as well.

Who knows.. The current trend can be spoiled anytime and it has chances.

As we speak, we can see that the rise is not on fast phase meaning some mixed actions can be noticed on any price level. If you will look into 24 action or much better at the start of the slow bull trend, we can that resistance above $8,000 is stabilizing but the concern part here is, how long the momentum will goes? We can't just conclude things in just few days of price watching.

Let's all wait what will happened next. Upward or downwards? Let's see.

Longer term: I'm bullish on the 1-week and the 1-day time frames. It's not obvious to me how to forecast the 1-month chart, though. We could be in a bull trap, or we could be in a situation like summer of 2013.

Shorter term: This trendline (and some horizontal resistance on the 1-week chart) should provide an obstacle.
