X11 is good choice
i took part in hirocoin too, and the way i feel X11 is the most happy time of me and my cards. Runs 2,7x of scrypt hash yet much cooler and less fan speed . even in main windows 7 rig i can play games and browse while mining X11

I've never even heard of X11 before. Do you mine this with cgminer, or you need a specialized miner?
It is an adaption of cgminer called sgminer for GPU miner. There are also CPU miners. It is the algo for darkcoin. It's lovely to mine, I mine darkcoin on my CPU. Hirocoin also uses it.

With Hefty1 and 290 i am around 100W
