That is a whole different crypto ecosystem which is built on the electrum blockchain and not a regular search engine, making it more complicated.
I can not see bitcointalk switching to an altcoin project as its main search engine while the forum has a native and functional search engine. This will be seen as an obvious marketing and endorsement of the project by the admin here, which they will not do without a proper motive and after doing their research.
The current system is not terrible, just needs a few fixes.
