Hello friend, merits are given to members that are very helpful and are posting very informative and those who help the community, its is a reward by any members of the community to the contributor of this community, what i mean is you post something that is helpful and if anybody recognized it, they can give you merit for me, but for me, never mind it for now, you just need to be active and follow the rules and post something nice., nevermind about the money which you can benefit from here, and everything will follow later on, just be happy for being here in this community.

The logic behind the merit system is promotive however conditions seem very disruptive for users. So many users tired that I've seen here to use BTCTalk. All their critique is hard to collect that merit points. They can be right on this point cause there is no exact answer for collecting merit points in forum.

Even me still can not get the mind that how to collect/pay merits. No button or no any notifications for those merit points maybe that is related my ranking in forum, but others have same problem Roll Eyes

Merits had been created to combat spamming in the forum. If you will follow the rules and posted quality replies them sooner you will get merits and rank up to the next level.

Earning a merit is hard like a medal which you need people to pleased you and give rewards of a good activity and job you made.

The system is simple enough but difficult to do.
To get the merit we need is the quality of our posts in this forum, in any thread. When we have a very good post, very useful for other members, and other members interested in our post then maybe we will get merit. Not always a quality post get merit, because it takes another factor that is the availability of other members to provide merit to the post.

Sorry to say this mate, but earning merit from this forum is so difficult, specially for newbies that are obviously lack of knowledge about cryptocurrency. The best thing that you should do now is, just focus on studying and gathering more knowledge about cryptocurrency and making such threads that can be very useful to anyone. In this way, you can earn some merit from the members you assisted.

This is the flaw of new merit system which tendency of good post cant really be merited due to fact that people either dont notice it or just simply doesnt really have any interest to give some points at all for personal reasons. No one will give you merit for posts or topics like this, you need to write more than 2 lines. I don't think merit sources are visiting altcoins too much because of spam.

In order to rank up to jr. Member, you only need to have 30 activities, but if you are going to higher ranks you are going to need merit. 10 Merits for Member, 100 merits for full member, 250 merits for Sr. Member and I'm not sure in the next ranks. But there is a thread regarding the merit system and you can check the number of merits required for each rank. Merits are given by the members of the thread. You will receive a merit from the person if you have a good post.

Your post must be reasonable or some current affair in Crypto related definitely some peoples are give the merit and if you need more rewards you must active in meta and serious discussion then only you have some idea about the merit system. But recently most of the members are stay in same place because it is little hard to get so some changes is possible in future you should wait for corrections.

First of all, for the topics created to fulfill the weekly signature bounty, no one will give merit. To get them you need to write not just constructive posts, in the desirable useful ones. Imagine, for what you would have given to a man merit, if you had one. Communicate with people, share with them something useful and merits will find you.

Merits can be given by any members of this forum, if they like your post if its informative or not, they will give you a merit., but at this time, its hard to get some merits., thats the reality of life, that is why, a lot of my friends complained about this new ruling of this forum, but as i said to them just post some informative details, and facts, so that the community will like you, thats how simple it is.

But if you are not after the money, ranks does not matter anyway

Go to meta section in the first page itself you can find the discussion thread started b theymos. You can get the clarification over there better than we explain here bro.
Until you become a junior rank, you does not need to get the merits fro rank up. Actually you need the merits while you are starting from Junior above rank from member to Legendary only it's needed. You please check number of expected merits with that theymos's link.

The new rule of Merit is very difficult to get merit. If you want to increase your merit, you must have alot of contribution such as: make the constructive post or meaningful content.

i think you took it wrong , they are not asking you for many posts .
they need quality posts / helpful posts to give you some merits which is also depend on person giving you merits .
also i saw your posts , they are one liner and below average post like any other bounty hunter , and some of them are just bounty reports .
so if you really want merits then work hard , invest more time in forum and help others . also now if i said that posts are one liner , it does not mean you will write 10-15 lines posts , bcoz they prefer quality post in compare to lengthy posts .
