I appreciate the transparency and honesty of the analysis. As much as we respect him, his aggressive approach to cricket brought a more confident approach to his team, but he is experiencing a hard time right now. It's understandable why he's being criticized because those expect that he won't be like Kohli from 2016-2019. Dropping him is a normal process that his well-wishers may accept. To continue in your career, you need to perform. How long will your stardom keep you in the spotlight? Selectors' decisions should not be influenced by anyone.
If someone fails to perform well again and again then it is the responsibility of the selectors to replace him with better one. There is no room for emotion. Some may ask why Virat is being given repeatably chance? The reason for this is that he belongs to the elite cricketers. India has very strategically placed each player in the team. They want to keep Virat ready for the T20 World Cup. As a result of which he is often being given opportunities. The biggest thing is that the selectors always think more than us.

Well, my opinion is the selectors are working more up close and personal with Virat Kohli compared to us people just talking about him and analyzing his gameplay. So the selectors will know better what to do with him. Or at least I like to think they know better. In India, good cricketers are counted as very important personnel. They are representing their country so if they are doing the job well they are often thought of as elite-level citizens. I am not saying that anything of this should influence the selectors to select Virat Kohli for the team. I am also not trying to defend Virat Kohli. I am just saying that there is a process and maybe BCCI is going through that with Virat Kohli.

After all, they cannot just drop Virat Kohli from the team just because he has not played well in the last three or four years right Lips sealed? hope people understand sarcasm.
We often hear a speech that is "Even a fool knows his business". BCCI organization is run by smart and shrewd people. They do research in advance. They are not trying to win the series or match by Virat Kohli but they are trying to see how they can win the upcoming T20 World Cup. As I have said before. Once he gets into form he can be able to perform in some causes equal to 3 players. Because he has good experience in international cricket.

I don’t think that anyone will protest if he’s dropped, because Virat’s been in poor form for quiet a while now but due to his past performances he’s been kept in the team. Lastly if he fails to perform in the Asia cup then I believe that BCCI will have no option but to drop him permanently, because he can’t occupy the spot and perform poorly, and it’ll also end the rubbish theory that he’s been kept in the team because of pressure from the sponsors.

Kohli himself doesn't seems much interested in playing international cricket, especially after he lost the captaincy. He will be more interested in representing the RCB side in IPL. He still keeps on playing, because if he announces his retirement then his market value will go down and the sponsorship deals may vanish. So in the end it is money which matters. At this point, the perfect deal that is acceptable for both the sides would be the BCCI asking Virat to take an extended break, so that he can spend some quality time with this family.

India is a cricket-crazy nation. I am quite sure that if Virat Kohli is dropped from the team a protest might even take place. While Indians are crazy and want the love and respect that they have for someone, it is nearly impossible for them to lose the love and respect that they have for that person.
But it is a valid point that you raised. Does that actually have the caliber of players like Virat Kohli in place ready for replacement?
If they have then it’s ok, but if they don’t there will be a lot of fingers pointing at them. I think that is why they are still trying to give Virat Kohli another chance.
I will never go to the extent of demanding Kohli's omission from the national team. But the BCCI needs to force him to focus on the game. My guess is that Kohli spends only around 25% of the time on cricket and the rest on Bollywood related activities and advertising. And this may be one of the reasons for his recent lack of form. All that said, I can't deny the fact that India used to be a one-man army in test matches conducted in SENA nations until 4-5 years ago. The team used to depend heavily on Kohli back then.
Yes just like you a lot of people don’t want Virat Kohli to not be in the team. Obviously, he is the favorite of a lot of people. But being a favorite is not going to cut it. He will have to show his performance and prove why he should be on the team. I know he has done a lot for the team but when he is not performing they will have to think about what’s best for the team.

If he is giving more time in Bollywood related topics and in advertising then surely right now a good chance for him to take retirement from cricket and enjoy his rest of life in this industry because he has already done good job for his country and his career in cricket is already near end, but age factor is giving him good favour for enjoying into Bollywood where he can spend next two decades with lots of money and popularity because right now three khans already near 60 and now time is also running out for them so this entry can give him good career and money as well.
Even for his start he can spend some money for his film and then hopefully many others will eager to give him chance if he is able to give good impression.
Even if in some imaginary situation Virat Kohli does enter into Bollywood, I don’t think he will be able to get it a good terrier. And one thing I am quite certain of is that he will not be even close to the achievements of what that three KHAN has achieved.

I am not saying that there will surely be a protest. I am just saying the Indian public has done a lot of crazy things before because of cricket. And I am sure we all remember the burning tires and dummies in front of the houses of players after India got knocked out in probably the first round of the 2007 World Cup. That’s probably why I think BCCI is trying to play it safe. But Virat Kohli is also a very respected player in the whole world anyway. I also think that BCCI is also trying to show him the respect that he deserves.

Virat Kohli has to realize that if he does not perform well in cricket there is no chance for him to succeed in Bollywood or even as a model. He needs to realize that he got recognized because he plays cricket very well and that is why he got recognized.

So if he does not continue the good work in cricket no one will actually give him any importance in any other aspect of life. And BCCA also needs to make sure that he comprehends that. Otherwise, his career is going to be lost and he will not last long...
We once knew Virat Kohli as a very good cricketer. Such a beautiful performance of his batting made everyone very free in the field of play.Everyone was very impressed with his amazing game. But Virat Kohli's poor start to the game will soon lead to his dismissal from cricket in the country. But I'm sure if he gets kicked off the cricket board, he won't be able to do anything better later. And Virat Kohli has such thoughts in his mind.
We should know that form is temporary but class is permanent. Virat is a classic batsman and he has ability to do well in the future. He tries to bat well in the competitive match. Has has proven it many times and I hope he will come back strongly.

Well.. the problem is that he will get these advertisement deals only if he remains active in international cricket and the IPL. Advertisers are simply making use of his popularity with the cricket fans. If he retires from cricket, then his market value will go down (Mahendra Singh Dhoni found out this the hard way a few years ago). And international cricket is most important. Because if someone doesn't take part in international cricket, then I have noticed that his importance in the IPL will also go down. One perfect example is that of Suresh Raina.

Enough chances to virat its time to try some new talent. Virat never scored century in last 3 years and still was captain. He must play domestic cricket and try to region his form otherwise he will be replaced by some other talent.
Virat Kohli still remains the superstar of the Indian national cricket team. Removing him from the captaincy is one thing, and dropping him from the team altogether is something else. I don't think that the selectors have the courage to do something like this. But at least they should force him to play more domestic matches. If he doesn't want to participate in Indian domestic cricket, then the BCCI should ask him to play county games in England or at least Sheffield Shield matches in Australia.
The decision to drop Virat Kohli from the team is very difficult. I doubt if India will find a talented player like him easily. But he has been out of form for a long time. More than 3 years. The BCCI has given him plenty of opportunities, but Kohli has consistently disappointed the selectors. Kohli can remove his problems by participating in domestic league matches. Also, he has to work hard. And if he doesn't want that then he should retire now. This will ultimately save his honour.

There is a lot of criticism about Virat Kohli in the Indian cricket team.As Virat Kohli is a world class player, it is not right for him to be so bad at this moment. The skill and performance that he had in his game is now very bad. But he was criticized all over India and even within the Indian cricket team. But he must continue to persevere better to make his future better.
A common problem in cricket is that no good player can consistently do well. Many times the form is lost while playing. To regain that lost form, many lose their assigned team positions. If Virat Kohli not been such prominent player, he would have been dropped from the team. So far he has been given many opportunities.

Pakistan and India are almost in the same level in terms of gameplay. The performance variation at times makes one better over the other. With the Asian Cup, only the India vs Pakistan match will be discussed big. This is all because of the importance and a kind of market making for cricket. Even if the player watches it as a game, the media will give it big hype for money making.
I have a feeling that Pakistan has the upper hand this time. They won the last T20I encounter between these two sides. And on top of that, Virat Kohli is out of form while Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman are in terrific shape. But one disadvantage for Pakistan is that their strike bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi won't be available for the tournament. That may not be an issue if other bowlers step up their attack. As seen from yesterday's game, second-string Pakistani pacers (Naseem, Wasim and Shahnawaz) looks as if they are in terrific form.
Meanwhile, the Pakistanis are starting to think that Shaheen Afridi's absence will give the Indian top batsmen less pressure. The reality is the same. Since Virat Kohli is not in form, either he will roar in this match or he will be banned from World Cup cricket. Indian bowlers and batsmen are in form. India lost the last match played between the two teams. So this time India will try hard to win the match.

I am still going to say Pakistan is going to have the upper hand. But on paper honestly, neither team looks better than the other. With that injury situation in Pakistan, especially the main fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi is not going to be available. That is a big hit for Pakistan. And on the other hand, Virat Kohli is not in form also I think the situation of the Indian team is not the best at this moment.
Pakistan's Shaheen Afridi is out of Asia Cup but various comments are being made with him. As much as the pronouncements are not being made about Virat Kohli. He is a renowned cricketer in the world but who is not paying much attention due to his lack of form. But India take him as the trump card on the game.
