Completely agree with your statement. They were 86/0 after 5.5 overs, as Matthew Short and Travis Head were blasting the England bowlers. Even Jofra Archer and Sam Curran, two of the most experienced England bowlers were being hit all over the park. But once Head and Mitchell Marsh got out in quick succession, the scoring rate went down. They scored just 93 runs in the next 14.1 overs. Australian lower order is usually strong. But in this case, they collapsed without any fight.

Australia won by 28 runs Against England in their 1st T20 Match. Both team played well in that match. England won the toss and opted to fielding. Australia started batting first and Their top batsmen performed well from beginning. Travis Head(59) did his half century and Matthew Short(41) and Josh Inglis(37) made decent amount of runs and totally they set 179-10 runs as target for oppennt team. Liam Livingstone got 3 wickets. And afterwards English started batting and maybe due to pressure of targeted runs, they were trying to collect more runs and That's why we can see most of their batsmen lost their wickets with lower runs, Liam Livingstone(37) did highest score among them and finally they made 151-10 runs and lost the match. Actually both are strong team, but Australia is stronger than england team in my view. Although England has ability to won matches against Australia if they give more effort in next mathes. The 2nd match will probably start tomorrow. Let's see

England went with 6 batting all rounders (Including Livingstone) so there was a possibility of miss and hit and that's exactly what happened.

Also, It's been a while and it shouldn't surprise anyone too much that BIG-3 do experiments with their bench strength. Australia tested their existing bowling bench and England with it's batting and to some extent bowling.
